Good Morning,
I have been wanting to play with my Little Additions stamps some more for a while now and just haven't had enough time but a friend needed a baby card and so it was just the perfect excuse! I love this set, it is so cute! Page 20 of the mini catalogue if you want a look at the whole set, there is a lot to see too ;-)
I made a base of Crumb Cake with a Marina Mist DSP (from the subtles stack) layer topped with another layer of Crumb Cake with the name and date printed from the computer,
I inked the photo frames with the same colours plus a line of Daffodil Delight too, it looks very pale in this pic though,
I also used my markers to ink the cot too,
and some yummy wide striped grosgrain tied in a knot to finish the outside,
and I did much the same on the inside, sentiment inside is from the Level 2 set Something to Celebrate, it is also from the mini,
So, I have still got loads to do today to be ready for Sunday, I hope to see you there! but I will be back here tomorrow with something very different from this,
Thanks for popping by today,

Eva's Birthday

Good Morning to you today,
As promised I have the birthday card I made for Zack's friend Eva who's party we went to on Sunday, she was just 6 so I went with the traditional girly style and the pretty colours of Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink and  Marina Mist, a colour combo from the Colour Coach,
Stamp set used was On a Pedestal I haven't used this set in ages and had almost forgotten how lovely it was! I used my markers to ink the stamps up,
I used some of the super soft Daffodil Delight satin ribbon to make a lush bow and hung some tiny tags punched with Jewellery punch, another set I haven't used for a while,
and added rhinestones to the corners
lastly inside with the lovely sentiment from the new mini, the level 2 hostess set called Something to Celebrate, if you need this gorgeous set then message me to arrange a date for a workshop ;-)
Well, thanks for stopping by today, I have another busy one ahead more getting ready for Sundays craft show plus a list of cards I need made today!
Hope you have a great day,

Owl Birthday

Hello,
I hope you had a great weekend, Zack had a party yesterday and I will share the card I made when I have cropped and edited it all up tomorrow. Today I am knee deep in preparing for the craft fayre I am attending, I will be there the next 3 Sundays (and possibly more), showing samples of SU! products and taking the Big Shot too! If you want to see it in action then please do come along and say Hi! I would love to meet you in person. It is in the Lyndhurst Community Centre, Main Car Park off High Street Lyndhurst, Hampshire, SO43 7NY.
Back to today's card though now, I made it after being inspired by a kids top I saw with an owl on it using these colors,
I used Funky Four stamp set again with a Pear Pizzazz base, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise,
Pear Pizzazz In Colour ribbon, and a Big Button in Melon Mambo,
Mr Owl with an embossed tum ;-)
and finally a bit more mushroom action inside!
I hope you like today's card, back to the grindstone after the school run fro me,
Have a great day whatever you are doing and thanks for stopping by today,

Simply Stampin' Buttons and Bows

Hello today,
I am so sorry this is such a late post today, I got in from work late last night and usually I schedule this post when I get home, but as I walked in the door DH went out, I completely forgot about my blog as it just threw me and I got on and made a few things ;-) ooopsie, sorry 'bout that!
Anyway, here we are. When I first heard that this weeks challenge was Buttons and Bows over at Simply Stampn' Challenge Blog <<< shameless link there! he he! I knew exactly the sort of card I wanted to make because a few weeks ago I purchased this gorgeous bag...
So inspired by both I made this
I used Springtime Vintage DSP (available in THIS share) for the background with some retired Rose Red paper under Vellum card stock in the corner. I embossed the vellum with the square lattice folder as I wanted to emulate the bag texture, it is very touchy feely with a fab mix of buttons and interesting bits ;-)
This frame is from Baby Blossoms, the cute little buttons are Bitty Buttons from the mini and are clear, here I backed it with a matching shape made using the Heart to Heart punch and a scrap of Night of Navy card,
more buttons including Big Buttons (in share) and here I made a large ribbon flower using crumb cake seam binding ribbon last item in the same  SHARE
and inside I copied the strap from the bag,
So that's this weeks challenge for you, I really hope you will be able to join in with us this week, the DT have lots of other fab ideas and inspiration for you too so do pop over and have a look!

Ahh, P.J. day for us today, I need a day in, I have loads to make today! Have a lovely day what ever you are up to and thanks for stopping by my lil' ole blog,

Hello,
I know I am very late today with my posting, I have been chasing my tail today though getting lots of things organised, more fun details to follow ;-)
Anyway, I have a little post today to show you the favours I made for Zoe's birthday, I know it's a long time ago but I have had such a lot of other goodies to share with you and this one just kept slipping down the list!
As you can see I have made full use of my Mini Milk Carton die since I had it, I have used it here with some retired DSP and the Perfect Punches stamp set
I love how the pouring spout is scored so that they are easy to open,
and this last pic is just because I thought they looked like little roof tops, don't you think??
That's it from me for today, still got a million and one things to do :-D
Have a great rest of your day,

Less is More ans Clean and Simple :-)

Hello again,
Well, 2 posts in one day, that is virtually unheard of eh?!
So, as I have been struggling a bit of late to get what is in my head onto paper and card I decided to go for a couple of challenges and see if that has the right effect... I wanted to joing in with Mandi and Chrissie at Less is More where the theme this week is Thanks or Congratulations and loved the sketch over at Clean and Simple and this is what I came up with,
Colour combo is from the colour coach, Pear Paizzazz, Peach Parfait and Concord Crush. I knew I wanted to use this Beautiful Wings butterfly embosslit and once run through the big shot I inked the butterflies using Craft Whisper White ink to show off the gorgeous embossing,
I decide to die cut the corner inside with the Stampin' Up! Fun Flowers die to make a Concord Crush cut away flower to add the butterflies to, iykwim!
Well, that really is all for today, I am looking forward to doing some blog hopping later, but first I really have to shorten my "to do" list,
All supplies used are SU! contact me if you would like to place an order :-)
Have a lovely day, whatever you are up to,
Stampin' Hugs,

WOYWW

Good Morning to you today,
I am hoping to get round to loads of you this week on WOYWW, but it may take a day or two ;-) I, like Julia, have been deserted by any mojo of late, I think it may be the sun that does it to me you know, looking out at the mess which masquerades as a garden and feelings of guilt at being in here does tend to kill any creativeness (if that's a word?) So, this is my messy work desk today, it does include lots of scraps which need to be filed, a even a card which I am going to blog and link to a couple of challenges right after this post {one being a sketch challenge to try to kick start afore mentioned mojo} and a couple of v-e-r-y long lists!
My new favourite thing, I got this pot holder with it's 2 little pots in Salisbury on Monday, reduced in the sale and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to change the ribbon for some yummy SU! wide grosgrain, cute huh? I put my pots of glitter in one side and Tombow glue and erasers in the other, perfect!
and the other end of my desk my stamp-a-ma-jig is out, scorpal, and some tesco vouchers which I need to contact them about, I figure if I leave them out and in the way(ish) I might even get it done!?! Well, it's got to be worth a try hasn't it??
Well, that's my desk today, thanks for stopping by and I look forward to having a nose around yours in a bit :-)

2nd Attempt...

Good Morning to you today,
Back to reality for most of us today then after 2 lovely long weekends for most people (I was working this one but it was nice to have everyone at home during the days :-)). We had a lovely day yesterday going to Salisbury and having a little wander around and then late lunch at Prezzos, yumm!
Anyway, today's card... I know I said I was going to use the challenge card for Neil's Anniversary card but to be honest there is something I was not 100% sure about so I decided to make another one late Sunday night, I was much happier with how this one turned out ;-)
DPS used were Newsprint for the background and Jolly Holiday for the heart,
Broadsheet alpha used to do the "I" and "U" mounted on a Designer Label punched shape which I embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder,
scallop trim border punch used for the bottom edges, the Vanilla layer was also embossed with the same folder but it is very hard to see,
and finally on the inside I added a little matching strip of Polka Dotted Card,
So that's today's card for you, I have to go supermarket shopping later but at least I have the night off tonight, I might even craft a bit this afternoon...
Have a great day whatever you are doing and I do hope it involves getting a bit inky at some point ;-)

Daisy Box

Hello there,
This morning I have a box I made to share with you using the Daisy flower die and some more of the Springtime Vintage papers (last 2 shares available, see top of this blog)

the box folds up at either side, I loved the shape of it :-D
I added a Velcro dot to the top to keep it closed, it would be the perfect size for a bib or pack of baby socks in for a new mum,
I added some of the lovely, chunky glass glitter in Baja Breeze to the centre of the Daisy to finish,
and a quick picture of it opened out, I added a flower from the Fun Flowers die to "base" the Daisy as I thought it should be more solid for ease of opening,
So, that's today's project for you. It is our 15th wedding anniversary today so I am looking forward to a nice day, not sure if we are going out yet, will have to wait and see I suppose ;-)
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a lovely bank holiday, whatever you are up to,

Inspired by Orla

Good Morning!
It's not so sunny here today, which is never good, but even worse as we are having some friends over for a BBQ today :-( Hope it brightens up a bit or it could be oven cooked ;-)
But before I do the obligatory clean up then I thought I would pop on here and post this card, which today I am actually really pleased with. It is inspired by the mega talented Orla Keily who is just brilliant at the whole 70's retro chic homeware look, however, I took my inspiration from this little gift bag I spotted at a local garden centre of all places!

and here is my card, I used the Funky Four stamp set to make the background, which was made tons easier as I have it in clear mount ;-)
Colours used were; Early Espresso, Poppy parade, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Pink Pirouette,
I stamped the Curly Cute sentiment straight onto a piece of {retired} twill tape,
and a quick picture of the inside
Well, that's today's card, do let me know what you think.
I hope the sun shines for you today, whatever you are up to :-D
