Inlaid Die Cutting Technique with Stampin' Up's Bold Butterflies and Pretty Petals DSP Stack.

Hello!
Apologies as I didn't manage to blog yesterday. This was because I had a sewing day here at home. I'm making (have nearly finished actually) a new picnic blanket. A few things I have learnt (for me) about sewing this last few weeks: I make my own life harder by over complicating things ;-), sewing takes a lot longer than you think it will, it takes over the whole house and the mess! Let's not even go there!! I do enjoy it though but it's definitely going to continue be a once in a while hobby for me. I prefer the speed and accuracy of card and paper if I'm honest. That said I have some lovely new fabric coming my way so I will have to play with that soon ;-)
CLASS NEWS: I have added a last minute All Day Card Class for the 18th, 20th or 21st July. More details can be found HERE.
OK, So onto todays card. Is it OK to say I adore this card? I know, it's probably not very right and proper to say that about one of your own cards but every once in a while a card just comes out exactly as I thought it would, if not better! Part of the love for this card is the colours. I love Watermelon Wonder teamed with White and Black (see these cards too), it's perfectly retro with a modern twist. Take a look...
**Edit to say: I have made a little video tutorial with full directions for how to make this card. You can find it HERE** :-)
This card uses the inlaid die cutting technique teamed with the gorgeous Pretty Petals DSP stack.
 Making it completely flat!
I was thinking I might do a little video sharing this technique?
If you would like that please do let me know!
I added Crystal Effects to the greetings thinlit word and a few white Perfect Accents
*Sigh* and a top view to finish today :-)
Well, that's all from me for today.
Ill be back tomorrow with another card and I'll try to get a photo of my pretty Picnic Blanket if I can get it finished and if it stops showering long enough of course ;-)
Thanks for looking today,
