Stamp Room Guided Tour!

Hello,
As I may have mentioned we had an extension put on this last year ;-) and finally we have it (sort of) finished, I still have areas we need more furniture (or less) but we will have to wait 'till funds allow, enough rambling though, I will explain as we go along...
So, as you walk in this is the wall you see first, there is a window on the left hand side and this is the main area I would say, I would like shelves above the punch rails for my stamps eventually :-D. The two cupboards either end of the table (worktop) are just kitchen ones from IKEA and I have left the doors off them as I like to see what I have (or else I forget!) and I am getting a chair on wheels (from a friend -one day soon ;-)) so I can scoot to the cutting area which I will show you next...

and here is the cutting area, I am going in a clockwise direction around the room. I still need to work on this and the next areas as they are still a bit unfinished but they work for now, note colour co-ordinated bowls of smarties, more on that soon..

and this is behind me as I sit at the desk, I often have a kid or husband sat in here watching telly and/or chatting while I craft and all my stamps fit on the unit perfectly,

Well, I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek around my tidy (today) craft room, Thanks for stopping by today. I have quite a few cards to be making so must get cracking :-)
A quick reminder about this months class, message me asap to resrve your place,

Monster of a Card

Hello,
In a week or so my friend and upline Julie is having a team training day, I cannot make it this time unfortunately but I am participating in the Card Candy swap so that's what I have been doing the last few days. I am pleased with the end result but I will have to wait to blog them until when the are going to be swapped so as not to spoil the surprise for the other members of the team ;-)
So, back to this card, I just fancied playing with this monster set the other day as I have had it for ages and not really gotten round to playing with it, I used the colour coach for the combo again, it is Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzaz and Tempting Turquoise,

The little banner is made using the star punch and the balloons are from Party this Way, it really is such a great set and the little star in the background is from Every Little Bit,

and an arty angle,

so a quick and easy little card for a boy today, I am going to clean my car this morning, boo, but then I hope to get inky later,
Have a great day whatever you are up to and thanks for stopping by to visit today xx

Punch Bunch Owl

Hello there,
How was your weekend? We had a nice relaxing one and I got to craft :-D
I made this card last week though, when I had complete crafters block! so I turned to my Colour Coach for a little help and my quick jot book of sketches, I do a rough copy of a sketch when I go onto a challenge site with the date it finishes, just in case I get a chance of entering in time ;-) (rare) and then I have a reference for times when I get stumped too!
Right, back to this one, Colours here are Rose Red, Not Quite Navy and River Rock,

and the super sweet Owl stamp from the sale-a-bration set Punch Bunch, squares are stamped with Dot, Dot, Dot,

this little sentiment is again from Punch Bunch and it fits perfectly in the frame from Hodgepodge Hardware, over the top of Marine Mist satin ribbon HERE in a share,
and here you can see I popped all the owls on dimensionals but the pink ones layer is popped too,

Well, I hope you like today's card, I will be back tomorrow with a Monster of a card :-)

After Eight Box Tutorial

Hello,
I love it when you make projects using my tutorials but please be sure to link back here and give credit when you make and post to your blog.
Thank-you for your understanding and I hope you enjoy this tutorial xx
As requested by the lovely Liz here is a tutorial for making the little boxes or wraps around the 5 pack of After Eight Mints. I will say before we start I have taken a lot of pictures as it is easier to show than it is to describe ;-) so grab a cuppa and we will begin...
First you need a 12 x 12 piece of your chosen card, and you need to cut it into a 6cm strip
Score at 1, 6.5, 9.5, 15, 18 and 23.5 cm, discard the last 1cm,
Before you fold the card crisply stamp all over one side and between 18cm and the end on the opposite side as shown, I have used Every Little bit for this,
You then need to add strong dst like red line to the first 1 cm section on both sides, remove adhesive from the plain side and stick to box at the top, back, as shown here,
Fold tightly around box removing other piece of tape backing to secure, fold the easel part crisply to get the shape below,
Decorate as desired, I have used a combo of Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise and Pear Pizazz, adding a button to hold the easel part up,
I decorated with the great Party This Way stamps,
And the top view,

Well, I hope this is of help to you Liz and anyone else too :-D
and thanks as ever for stopping by,

Subtle Summers

Good Morning,
I have a very busy day today again, a long list of jobs to do! I hope at some point to make a card but I am not holding out too much hope as I have been trying for about 4 days now and my mojo appears to have disappeared completely!! Luckily I have a card I made last week to share with you today ;-) now, I used Sweet Summer (again) but this time I made a card in Subtle colours of the Blue, Pink and Green colourway I used before. So Pear Pizzaz, Pink Pirouette and Marina Mist for this one,

Super soft wide striped grosgrain ribbon with a button from the subtles collection wrapped around it,

sentiment from Basic Phrases punched with Word Window and finished with a Gem Brad,

and an arty angle to finish,

If you would like this (or any other FREE set from the SAB catalogue) then email me with your order :-D
Have a great stampin' day

OSW with SAB set!

Good Morning,
Don't worry, the first week back is nearly over, mine are shattered ;-)
So today I have a One Sheet Wonder to share with you, but I decided to make a pretty box with a matching card.
Here is the pattern, I used an A4 sheet of Whisper White card and the FREE Sweet Summer stamp set inked in Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi again, I also used the Spritzing tool with the matching Markers and then finally I sprayed it with Shimmer Paint mixed with Alcohol to give a gorgeous pearly finish,

Here is the card I made, I mounted the flower heads on dimensionals and added a couple of sparkly Rhinestones,

and this is the little box I made, I used a sizzix die hubby bought me for Christmas, wrapped it in Marina Mist Wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added a matching tag,

and here they are both together,

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like today's projects, do leave me a comment so I know you have popped by
Keep warm today whatever you are doing,

January Class

Hi there,
As promised today I have the sneak peeks for this months class. We are making two cards and a desktop calender using the beautiful Just Believe stamp set with Sweet and Sour speciality papers, this paper is gorgeous as it is embossed on some of the patterns as you will see in the photos below,
So first of all the calender. Card base is Melon Mambo with Pumpkin Pie satin ribbon,
This is the first card we will be making and again the spotty paper is embossed,

and the third and final card for this months class using some lovely In Colour ribbon (in this share) and the spritzer tool,
and here they are all together,

I can still fit a couple of people in for Tuesday's 25th Jan class (see side bar for more details) so message me on sarah-janerae@sky.com asap to reserve your place for some crafty fun with a small and friendly group of ladies and come and have a play with some lovely SU! goodies.
Thanks for looking today and hope to see you here :-)

Sweet Summer

Hello there!
Wishing all my lovely blog readers a Happy New Year! I do hope that your Christmas (and New Year) were fabulous and you had everything you desired in your stocking ;-) Santa, aka: hubs, left me a lovely new camera :-D
We start the new year with a BANG! as usual with SU! and their fabulous Sale-a-Bration promotion, I have spent the last day or two playing with the FREE set you can earn (along with the choice of 3 others, see top post) when you spend just £45!
This set we received as a free bonus at Convention from SU! If you would like to come to convention this year (in Paris) then now is also a fantastic time to join SU! as you can also receive an extra free set of your choice up to any value from the catalogue. You can join SU! for just £119 for the starter kit containing goods to the value of more than £230, contact me for a no pressure chat to find out more :-D
Onto the card for today, now the colours I am loving at the moment in my home are Green, Blue and Pink, I love them together. You will see I also had my baubles in this combo for Christmas if you scroll down a little.
I have made quite a few cards with this combo so I hope you like it too! lol!
This one is in brighter tones so Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Tempting Turquoise.
I stamped the background with a stem from the set which I think makes a great flourish, in Wild Wasabi onto matching card, ribbon is Regal Rose grosgrain,
I stamped these flowers and coloured them using a blender pen then cut them out by hand, gluing the outside ones and using a dimensional on the middle one.
Don't you just love that little butterfly and bee too??

an arty angle, I stuck the paper down flat as the I wanted the flower to take centre stage,

So, that's SAB started then! I hope you like the card I made today and if you want to get your hands on this set for FREE then email me with your order.
Don't forget I am also starting the marker club this month, please email me asap if you would like to join as I only have 1 place left.
Thanks for stopping by today, I promise things will get back to normal round here now the kids are back to school, I am also working on a tutorial for the after eight mint holder as requested by Liz x
