Navy and Copper Hang Your Stocking Card

Hello there,
I have the final card I designed for my Hang Your Stocking class today (you can see the others HERE) and I decided to use the Floral Boutique DSP as I thought the pattern was like falling snow, don't you? I then used the small star shaped stamp on the paper and heat embossed it in copper for a little added interest, what do you think...
I also used the new stitched shape framelits, these are currently unavailable but you can pop in your email and SU! will send you a message when they return, I do love them and they are perfectly designed to match your existing circles, ovals and square layering framelits by SU!
This sentiment is from the stamp set too, I love that mix of fonts!
I do love navy (and copper) and in fact I have just painted my lounge Navy, that's why I have been a little short on blog posts this week ;-) You can have a quick look over on Instagram if you're interested...
Well, that's all for today, I have a rather long list of things to do today (nothing new there, eh?) but thanks as ever for looking today!

Hang Your Stocking by SU! to make Sparkly Cards!

Hello!
I hope you are well? I am in the middle of decorating here, no, not for Christmas but I (perhaps foolishly) decided I was going to re-decorate the lounge this week. Hubby is working away and I have been at work too so it's been a bit of a busy few days here!
Anyway, I am back with more Hang Your Stocking cards* today to share with you using plenty of Glimmer Paper, take a look...
*see the other cards in this series HERE*
So, this is the pink pirouette and smoky slate version, the little 'snow' effect is made using two of the small stamps from the set and versamark on the slate card.
TIP: To adhere your fine stocking die cuts use a sponge dipped in tombow on a silicone mat to coat the back of the die cut.
And this one is in more traditional colours but just as pretty! The snow on here is stamped using crumb cake ink as versamark doesn't show up on vanilla and white card.
I love the smooth look of the foil sentiment combined with the glimmer of the stockings.
And both together to finish today!
I hope you've enjoyed today's cards? I'll be back tomorrow with more, but for now, thanks for looking!

These are a few of my favourite things!

Hello and welcome to today's post and today is a Jems Blog Hop day, yay!
This month we are each choosing our favourite project(s) or product(s) from 2016 and there's tons of fabulous inspiration from my Jems team mates along the way.
Do have a hop around, hopping links are at the end of this post :-)
So, as the title suggests today I had a blast looking back over my projects from this year and picking three that I loved making in 2016, although picking just three was sooooooo hard for me! I have had such fun with so many fabulous stamp set this year! Anyway, I did manage to narrow it down and the first one I chose was my Ombre Effect with Floral Thinlits overlay.
VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE
And I do love this little cactus from Birthday Fiesta, it was such fun giving him a personality with googly eyes and I even made him a sombrero using the dies in the set!
And finally, I really loved this VW Beetle stamp set from way back in January! Sadly this stamp set is retired now but watch this space as I have plans for recreating this card with a new stamp set coming in January ;-)
This VIDEO making Shaker Cards without Dies has been my most popular ever over on my YouTube channel.
So, I do hope you have enjoyed this quick look back over 2016?
Please, HOP FORWARD to Lindas blog for more inspiration or you can
HOP BACK to the ever talented Amanda to see her favourites!

Using Holly Berry Happiness and Tin of Tags Stamps by SU!

Hello and welcome to today post!
Before we start please take a moment to check out the Year End Closeout Deals. There are lots of discounts, some on Annual Catalogue products but remember some are only while stocks last!
I do still have a couple of cards left using the Hang Your Stocking stamps and dies but I thought I should share something different with you for a change today ;-)
So, here's a card using Holly Berry Happiness stamps and punch which I teamed with the Tin of Tags stamps...
I heat embossed the sentiment in the centre. The leaves and berries are stamped using both the 'Holly Berry Happiness' and 'Stitched With Cheer' stamps onto Kraft card and then punched out with the Holly Berry Builder Punch. I drew a circle using the Circle framelits (on offer in December) to adhere them around and added clear Wink Of Stella to all the leaves and berries, once adhered.
And those Warmth and Cheer papers in the background? They are half price right now! And they have tons of papers that can be used for non-Christmas projects too ;-)
So, I hope you have enjoyed today's card? A little change from stocking cards ;-)
Back tomorrow in the Jems blog hop which is a review of 2016,  I do hope you can stop by for a ton of inspiration - all just a click away!
