Frog, Chick and Sheep Punch Art using the Needle and Thread dies.

Hello!
If you follow me on social media {FB/Insta/Twitter links at the end of post} you will have seen my punch art this week. Originally inspired by the little loop dies and stitched scallop shape die in the Needlepoint Elements dies (part of the needle and thread bundle). Each time I used them all I could see was little chick feet!
Just for fun I had a little Q&A and asked what my lovely followers thought I might have made and I was overwhelmed with great ideas and, not wanting to disappoint, I made the suggested Frog and Sheep as well as my original Chick idea. And I promised to do a little tutorial for each so that's what today's post is all about :-)
Here is the Chick punch art tutorial. I used Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie card for this chick.
TIP: If you don't have the stitched circle dies plain circle dies or even a circle punch would work equally well.
This Frog punch art tutorial is super simple and great fun too!
I used Garden Green, Black and White card for this little frog. I also have just realised the 3/8" circle is retired but you can use the cookie cutter builder punch instead .
And last for today this cute Sheep punch art tutorial.
Just add fun googly eyes (mine are retired by SU! at halloween from a few years back)
And all together again to finish today.
So, the smallest (big) boys football has been cancelled today due to the rubbish weather ruining the pitch :-( so we are staying in for the day doing some more of those "exciting" jobs in the house ;-)
Fingers crossed that maybe I might even squeeze a little crafting in later today too...
I hope you get a chance to make something today too and if you have a go at one of these punch art animals I'd love to see!! Feel free to share any and all of your papercraft creations on my crafting group on FB, HERE.
That's all from me for today, thanks so much for stopping by :-)

Highland Heather Needle and Thread Card

Hello and happy Saturday :-)
I am really looking forward to this weekend even though I have a very long list of things that absolutely must get done!!
Today's card is another one from class and for this make we used a lovely colour palette of Highland Heather and Pool Party which gives a very fresh and pretty look, let's see...
We stamped the fine, stitched effect image down the side before layering die cut squares together...
...and topping them with a selection of stamped flowers and leaves and a little (retired) pool party thread too.
All finished off with a sprinkling of pretty pearls!
This was a popular choice at class last week, what do you think of it?
Well, that's me for today. I will be back tomorrow with not one, but three punch art tutorials for you using the Needle and Thread dies as a starting point :-D
'Till then, happy stamping,

A New Sketch Challenge with Inspire. Create Challenges using the Needle and Thread Bundle

Hello and welcome to another post with Inspire. Create challenges!
This fortnight it's a sketch challenge (my favourite) and it's a great design that was super fun to use!
And this is the card I made, using the Needle and Thread bundle...
I used the beautiful stitched die from the bundle on white card then added Highland Heather and Old Olive inks with a dauber to highlight the image.
I finished with a sentiment on vellum and some more of the stitched elements from the die set, wrapped with some of that fabulous, new Old Olive Twine!
So, that's all from me for today, I hope you have enjoyed my card? But, don't forget the rest of the DT who have some fab-u-lous makes with this sketch so please do head over to the ICC blog  to be super inspired!
Thanks for stopping by today, I'll be back soon with a new card :-)

Buffalo Check with Signs Of Santa for a Non-Festive card!

Hello there,
Today I have a card which uses some Christmas stash for a non-Christmas card!
The background Buffalo Check stamp is on the carryover list so is still available but the Mrs Clause from Signs of Santa is retired now. Did you get this set? I love her sweet expression and think that in pink she looks just adorable and not at all festive, let's have a look...
I do love this buffalo check stamp, I used it with Blushing Bride here, layered with a fine edge of black card.
I coloured Mrs Clause with blends and as she has a holly sprig in her hair I added a punched flower to cover it which has the added bonus of adding a little dimension too!
I also think she'd look fabulous like this on tags for homemade jams etc..
Finished with a chalkboard tag which was also a Christmas set and some sequins (of course) ;-)
So, that's all for today, I'll be back on Wednesday with a new challenge from Inspire. Create, so please do stop by for that!
Thanks for looking today :-)

Needle and Thread stamped card.

Hello there and happy Sunday to you!
I hope you've had a great day? We had football this morning which was a tad chilly - but not as cold as last week (I didn't think) but I thought I'd hop on and share an evening post with you today, for a change.
I have another card from my class this week and this card is a pretty, mostly stamped make in a Lovely Lipstick, Navy and Pear Pizazz colourway, let's see...
This card seemed to go down well in class and my
TOP TIP: is to stamp the leaves first, then the flowers :-)
Wrap with some silver thread, top with a sentient and add a few white enamel spots (retired) to finish this make.
So, that's today's card for you.
I have loads of other Needle and Thread cards to share with you over the next week so I hope you'll stop by again soon ;-)
