Using Hearts Come Home by SU!

Hello there,
Quickly, I just want to mention that I have just one spare place on my All Day Christmas class this coming Saturday (7th October) and three spare places at Mondays (9th October) class. These places are on a "class only" basis and you would be sharing my stamps and dies. You will still enjoy a full day of crafting fun and to make 16 cards to take home! Message me if you would like to join us for crafting, christmas tunes and mince pies as standard ;-)
OK, so today's card is one we made at my last class during September which was a stamp-a-stack. I love the Hearts Come Home bundle and it just works so, so well in classic Navy and White so that's exactly what I did...
The navy card was swiped with a baby wipe dipped in navy ink to give it a little bit of texture.
And the stars were made using the die from Carols of Christmas and then inlaying a gold glimmer moon.
TIP: For die cutting (these houses and more) I prefer to use thick whisper white card rather than regular whisper white card. Regular whisper white rolled more to be extra smooth, so perfect for stamping.
I love the simplicity of this card, cool and classy :-)
So, that's all from me for today, I do hope you liked todays card and I'll be back tomorrow with another make ;-)
Thanks to everyone who has ordered with me already this month, please note the hostess code for September closes at 6pm this fine evening.

Two Of A Kind Using Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist

Hello there,
I have a duo of cards for you today after a short blogging break this week ;-)
We will be making these two cards at my All Day Christmas class in a couple of weeks where we are using (mostly) the Carols of Christmas stamps and die bundle. I couldn't choose one colour over another so I decided to make the same card in both Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst!
Let's start with the Berry Burst version...
We'll be using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the tree on the front of each card, it's a bit tricky to get a good shot of the sparkle so here's a close up ;-)
I added Merry Music DSP as a background which covers the whole front of a black card base.
So, my second version is with Lemon-Lime Twist card....
I added vellum behind the twin tree cut out, an idea I used last Christmas HERE and loved!
I stamped the tiny cluster of stars (included in the Carols Of Christmas stamp set) on the card fronts using Versamark for subtle interest.
And both cards together to finish today! Could you choose a favourite?
Right, that's all from me for today, I'll be back on Friday with another card.
'Till then, happy stampin'!

Inspire. Create. Challenge. First Ever Challenge!!! #001

Hello!
I am so pleased and proud to have been chosen to join the DT on this new challenge blog - Inspire. Create. Challenge. This is a new, fortnightly (Yes! Lots of fun inspiration and ideas, regularly) challenge blog with clever and talented DT members so there's sure to be a lot of great inspiration each fortnight :-)
I don't know about you but I love a good challenge, it's great for when you have a little creative block to work to a challenge- be it a colour, sketch or theme challenge you're sure to be inspired to create something!
Today is the very first challenge (#001) on the BLOG and the challenge this week is to use Basic Grey, Calypso Coral and White for your cards/projects.
So lets see what I came up with shall we. And as it's the very first challenge I decided to make two cards using this colour combo...
This first card uses the Wood Words stamp set. I stamped in Basic Grey and coloured using an aqua painter with Calypso Coral, then after it dried I used a blender pen to go back in and add more coral to accent to the watercoloured flowers. I did also add a few (sneaky) Garden Green leaves too ;-)
This sentiment from Better Together, I do love this font.
TIP: Carefully roll your die cut shape in an ink pad to make it pop on a card.
Finish with a few sequins for some subtle bling.
Now, this second card uses the spotlight technique with the little wreath from At Home With You.
I stamped the wreath repeatedly across the card front and then die cut a heart using the Sweet and Sassy framelits before colouring the images in the heart shape using my blender pens.
TIP: Blender pens are great for colouring really little images like this.
Wrap a little ribbon around the edge before glueing it down onto a coral card base. Finish by adding the heart, slightly off set, with dimensionals so you can see a little pop of coral and you're done!
And once more together to finish today :-)
Well, it's been a picture heavy post today so if you are still reading, I congratulate you! And many thanks for stopping by today. Please do stop by the challenge blog to see what the other DT members have made and I'm sure you'll be inspired to create something so I'll look forward to seeing what you make using these colours!
