Today I have a little tutorial for you sharing the measurements for the pocket fold card I made HERE.
**Advanced warning!! Picture heavy post! Grab a cuppa :-)**
You will need just one sheet of A4 card and a few scraps to make the little cute house.
###
So, to make the pocket part begin by taking an A5 sheet of card (I used Pink Pirouette) {A5 is 14.9cm x 21cm or half A4}
Score down at the centre point of the 21cm side at 10.5cm and right along both 21cm sides 0.5cm from the edges.
You should be able to click on the pictures to enlarge.
Cut off and discard the shaded areas.
{Two 0.5cm x 10.5cm strips from the back of the finished card (shown here left) and 2cm strip from the front (right as shown here)}
cut an 8cm x 13.5cm piece of Designer Paper (I used Perfect Plum) and butt it up along the top edge of the smaller side of the card, punch out half a 1+3/8" circle
take just the designer paper and punch again with the 1+3/4" punch-just a thin bit though, as shown ;-)
Tie the ribbon around the DSP before adhering to the front of your card
then cut a small angle from the bottom of the 0.5cm strip and adhere your pocket together with red line tape
then cut a small angle from the bottom of the 0.5cm strip and adhere your pocket together with red line tape
To make the house you will need to punch a 1+3/8" square in Pink Pirouette
and a half for the roof ,
Punch a small heart from DSP and then a 1+1/4" square around it to make the house front
plus a half a 1+1/4" square of DSP for the roof
Ink the edges and adhere to the larger square, and do the same with the roof parts too ;-)
cut a 1/2 cm x approx 1.8cm strip for the chimney
Punch two 2+3/8" scallop circles and ink the edges
Adhere all pieces together to make a house as shown here, adding a gem if you like too :-) and finish by adhering to a 13.3cm x 10cm piece of Pink Pirouette card to make the insert,
So that's your finished card
I hope you have enjoyed this mini tutorial
