Hello there,
So, just recently my DH became a Grandaddy and I, a Step Nanna! Obviously, we are all thrilled and excited for the new addition to the family and of course I needed to make a special card! I always love a shaker card (as you probably know) but I especially love to make something thats just a bit more special when it's likely the card will be kept forever, as is usual when a baby is born ;-)
So, I made this card to celebrate the arrival of baby Jackson...
For a video tutorial sharing step-by-step how to make a Shaker Card please pop over HERE and for a video with my tips for using the new Foam Strips (especially with Baby's First Framelits) please pop over HEREAnd if you have any questions please do ask ;-) I used some Serene Scenery paper for behind the windows, probably not the first DSP you'd think of for a baby card but those teeny-tiny spots are perfect, don't you think?
I have a couple of these lovely (retired) wooden sentiments left still and they are just perfect for a baby card.
I used Layering Love inside but stamped it off for a subtle look. Again, I think this sentiment is simply perfect for any new parents and their baby :-)
And one final photo for today.
Well, the new Mummy liked the card but what do you think? Thanks for looking today,
Back soon with more!
