Josh's birthday line up and a card

Morning all,

Today I have a couple of pics to share with you of Josh's birthday ! I can barely beleive he is 12...
The first is some more or the sour cream containers (loving these in case you hadn't guessed !) which were filled with Star Wars figures, These containers are great as the figures are small and easily damaged so they needed to be protected but also wrapped individually so the opening takes ages !!! Papers from Pink Petticoat again.

Punched the layers with my SU! punches and die cut "Happy Birthday"

Second is of Josh coming into the lounge and seeing them all lined up ! He opened his presents upstairs this morning so thought that was it - 'till he came down for brekkie !!

Lastly is the card I sent to Wendy who won my candy the other day, I didn't want to post it 'till now as she hadn't received it yet and I wanted it to be a surprise ! Well done Wendy, I hope you are happy with your new stash !

This card is also a challenge one for Sweet Saturday #6, I used papers from SU! which are double sided so I just cut a square of paper from the lovely "Tea and Crumpets" pack into 4 and reversed 2 of them. The beauty is they all co-ordinate perfectly! Layered up my 1st ever penny black stamp (I know, shocking isn't it !) which I got on Saturday, I got a transparent set so you will be seeing some more of these... Buttons from stash, sentiment is done with one of those cheap 99p sets of individual letters, but I think it looks quite sweet ?! SU! Linen thread through two of the buttons.

2 ways with Sale-a-bration

2 posts in one day eh? get me !!

I have some crafting yummyness to show you this afternoon !!I saw these on the craftworks card stand at Make it! on saturday and I think they are just scrummy !!

I have made mine with a scalloped circle by SU! (They call them "Carousel Notes") which my lovely SU! Mum sent me for my birthday- thank-you Julie ((hugs)) as soon as I saw them I knew what I was going to do !!!

##For both I used close to cocoa ink and cardstock and pretty in pink carousel note##

For the top one I Stamped randomly with the flower from the set "Polka dot punches" all over the carousel note, then onto close to cocoa cardstock the framed saying from the "Yummy" set, I cut it out and mounted onto foam pads, Chocolate drops from CWC round the outside, ribbon from stash, eggs gone in a flash !!

And for the second bag I have masked the swirls on another stamp from "Yummy" (3 in the set altogether) and positioned with my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get it in the middle. I then stamped the flower again from the "polka dot punches" straight onto cardstock, and pnched out with 1, 1/4" punch. Eggs were put into a spare card bag then attatched with d/s/tape.

So there it is, my 2 ways with 2 sets of Sale-a-bration !

Morning to all,

Thank-you for all of my lovely cards and gifts ! I have taken a few photos of my birthday cards and pressies,

My lovely hubby got me a daylight lamp, some pro-markers and a lap tray (to sit infront the telly and colour, which I did last night !) plus a few other lovely bits... and some lovely gifts from my girl friends...

Some lovely orchids sent to me from my Dad and his partner, Shirley who live in Spain, so couldn't be here, Ducks from my good friend Elaine, My Mum and sister both gave me money which I spent on some Gorjuss Girls, due today (yipee!) and some small wooden drawers, to tidy up some of this stash, from Ikea yesterday !

A card for Little Nannie

Morning all,

Hope you all had a good weekend, Today I have a card I was asked to make for an older lady (in her 90's I think she said) for a friends daughter to give. She wanted a bigger card again so this is A4 folded in half. I used a set of Autumn Leaves Stamps as my SU! "Rose is a Rose" set hadn't got here before I had to make it ! Should have got it sooner, I have a couple of cards planned for this set already !!

I used SU! Rose Red and Regal Rose ink pads for the main image and the polka dot background stamp is also in Regal Rose. I stamped the butterflies twice and layered them, after sponging them with a make-up sponge straight from the Rose Red ink pad. Sentiment is computer generated, Book plate die is a Sizzix one, Ribbon from stash, Pink card I already had and the brown card is the yummy close to cocoa by SU! Gem flowers from stash too !!

Little piccie of the inside, computer generated sentiment Font is called "Mia's Scribblings" and is fantastic for Kids cards ! Swirl was free on a magazine stamped again in Regal Rose.

I got when I went to Make it! on Saturday. A fab day out to spend some birthday money from M&FIL (and some I had saved from selling a few cards!) Got some great bargains !!!!

Well I hope you like the card and I will try to do a post tonight to come on tomorrow morning as I'm going to the new ikea in Southampton first thing, as all the kids are going back at school.

Calender Girl !!

Morning all,

Today I thought I would share with you... no, not a card... definately no, not a piccie of me posing for a calender (PHEW!!!)... but a calender top I made for a blank calender I found which I keep above my computer...

The first one was from January (surprise!!) but I never got round to posting it, sorry, It uses SU! grey card (from the neutrals pack) with BG paper and my lovely Sugar Nellie stamp 'Penpal' , coloured in with my watercolour pencils, Flower from stash, large brad mm I think.

Second month, yep you guessed it Feb !! he he. Using pink card from stash and my FREE SU!'Polka dot punches' stamp set I had when I spent £45. This month is pretty basic but I think it is quite effective. Stamped the heart all along the centre and them stamped some more hearts onto spare card then cut them out and layered them up with foam pads. Ribbon from stash, hearts with added bling in the form of glitter glue.

Sorry and a card

Hi Folks !

First of all an apology for not posting anything for ages... sorry !!! No excuses, just been having fun with the kiddies. I have however, got a card to show you- yey! This one is another for Josh only this time it's from us.

This card is a proper recycled jobby !! I made the pop up style like here only this time I enlarged it quite a bit, which I discovered is O.K. if you wont need to post it as I had to strengthen it with extra card so it stood up (fine for this luckily !!) The main star wars mask is actually a tag off a jumper I bought Josh for Christmas, which I threaded with some silver thread (also from a label from a top I had!) and then glued on another piece of card to the back to cover it, and then trimmed round the edges !! Light sabers made from straws with silver card round (incase you couldn't guess!!) Die cut lettering and arrows and punched stars, from holographic card with stars on, 'cause that doesn't show very well on the photo.
