Milk Carton for Dad's Day

Hello to you all,
I have popped on here to share a few photos of another Milk Carton I have made to send to my dad for Father's Day, I have filled it with sweets for him, all ready to post on Monday. I hope it gets there in time (it's got to go to Spain!)
They are busy digging the footings today for the extension today so I have not got any jobs to do in the house without getting in someones way, so nothing else to do but play then eh?!
Here it is front and back, I covered the Kraft base using the Cheers to You wheel and versamark, star punched out from Sweet Pea Designer Paper, Beer Mug is from Cheers to you, sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings set, and the football and boot is Just Soccer. Yummy Old Olive Satin Ribbon wrapped with Linen Thread finishes off the top.
As you can see I made it to match the card I showed you a few weeks ago.
Milk Carton Tutorial link is in the side bar-> -> -> ->

Short and sweet today I'm afraid, hopefully I will be back tomorrow with some more cardy stuff to share with you all, in the mean time have a nice Saturday and if you watch the footie "Come on England" :-)

Graduation Card for a Girl

Good Morning,
First up, to keep you updated I have no roof left on my old garage, sooo exciting and it is still outside, not to say there is no dust already mind ;-)
So, onto the card for today, a friend asked me to make 2 Graduation cards, one for her neice who is graduating from uni soon. Now, unfortunately I don't have any graduation stamps at all so I went with the very versatile New Years Celebration,
Colour combo is Kraft and Cameo Coral, ((loving the coral))
Paper on the bottom half is from Pink Flamingo, edged using the spiral punch, Graduate is stamped using the Just Perfect alpha,
yummy brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit,
Champagne and bubbles are topped in Crystal Effects,
The inside is finished with a little of the same dsp, sentiment is an old hostess set from last year, perfect sentiment tho right?

Well, thats it for today, they are taking down the garage walls today, weather permitting I suppose, excting times round our way right now,
Thanks for stopping by, I really love that you do and Stampin' hugs to you all,

Vintage 3D Card

Good morning,
I have scheduled this post as my builders are starting today! how exciting, now I've finished all the prep that is ;-)
Anyways, I have a card to share with you today, I was asked by a friend to make a special card for a special friend of hers and this is what I came up with,

I used the scrummy "bride" papers, although I think they are more like card stock weight, lovely. Sentiment is from Sincere Salutations,

I made the roses using the Vintage Vogue flower and wrapped fine wire threaded with pearl beads to encircle the roses,

The inside,

and finally, I had to make a box to put the card in as it wouldn't go in the envelope!

I think it would also make a great wedding card too, I am so in love with this Rich Razzleberry colour, so rich and yet modern,
So that's it from me today, thanks for dropping by and don't forget to leave a comment so I know you have been,

So Sorry

Hello everyone,
Hope your 1/2 term week has been a good one? Hasn't the weather has been lovely for the kiddies to play outside? well for most of the week ;-)
I have been busy getting ready for tomorrow but a while ago I had to make a card that no-body ever wants to have to make, it was for my SU! sister Kate, who sadly lost her brother, I used I {heart} Hearts in Black and Grey,

I added a little Crystal Effects on top of some of the hearts, and a bit of Black Gingham ribbon.

Super short post tonight, early night for me as I have a long day tomorrow, if I can sleep with all the excitement (and quite a few nerves!) Looking forward to meeting up with some of you,

Thanks for stopping by,

Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

2 Cards from me today

Hello,
I know I have been a bad blogger again and I am sorry, but I have been really busy, I promise! Hubby has spent a couple of days in hospital with kidney stones again (stressful to say the least, for all concerned) and I have also been Very Busy getting ready for Saturdays Craft show.
So anyway to make up for it I have 2 cards to share with you today!
First up is a very simple card, this is another one for my mum, she gave it to my elderly Aunt. It uses the lovely DSP from the sweet pea paper stack, It is so pretty it really needed very little added to make a lovely card,
sentiment from oval all,
I added lashings of crystal effects to the butterfly to highlight it,
and another blurry inside picture, not sure why the inside ones are like this lately?!
anyway, you get the idea ;-)
Now, the second card for you today is a bit different from what I usually make... but I do like it,
It uses Bella Toile with the scallop edge punch, some yummy Red Satin ribbon (great for nice big, lush bows)
and finally an arty angle showing the layers. Buttons along the bottom and sentiment again from Oval All.
Well, that's all from me today, I hope you like what I have shared with you today and thanks for bearing with me this week, please do leave a comment of you have time :-)
Bye for now, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

Pocket Silhouettes

Good Morning,
How's your weekend been? We haven't done much, a drive into town to give some friends a lift to their cruise (lucky ducks) which should have taken about 25 mins which actually took me a whole hour as everyone around Southampton decided as it was raining that shopping in town seemed like a great idea ;-) and just pottering round Sunday, a bit of cleaning and washing and then some prep for next months class, how's that for organised?! I am going to make up the sample to take with me to the Papercraft show next Saturday, I hope to see some of you there? email me for more details and directions if you need them.
Enough waffling, here's today's card, I haven't used Pocket Silhouettes for absolutely ages and I really don't know why 'cause it's lovely??! I was inspired to use it by my SU! sis Sarah, Thanks for the reminder hun x
Colours used are Basic Grey, Melon Mambo and Taken with Teal, Love this combo!
A little {blurry} picture of the inside,

And finally I layered the sentiment and the Melon panel, adding crystal effects to the punched circle to make a faux brad,
Well, that's it for today, Have a great Bank Holiday Monday.
Back tomorrow with more crafty goodness,
Thanks for stopping by, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

Thursday, 27 May 2010

Hello,
I had to make a few cards for my mum this week and this one was for a life long friend of hers. I wanted to make something a bit special for her and came up with this, I love this sentiment from Occasional Greetings and really don't use it enough!
Colours are Rich Razzleberry (again!) with Old Olive using the cottage wall papers,
5 petal flower with the branch from the bird punch and a gem brad,
I added a flat flower with some DSP to finish the inside,
using the butterfly punch with more Cottage Wall DSP,
Thanks for stopping by today, super quick post, I know but I must dash and cook dinner now,
Back tomorrow,
Hugs S.J. xxx

Good Evening,
How was your day today? I have been busy trying to get ready for the papercraft show which is coming round very quickly (5th June!) and at around the same time the builders will be starting at home so my house will be turned upside down, not to mention I probably won't be able to find anything with any ease or have anywhere dust free to create! Ahh well, it will be well worth it when I get a whole stamp room to play in! whoop!
I was playing around with some of the new Melon Mambo goodies and thought it would be a perfect pink to team with black and the lovely On a Pedestal stamp set,
I created a pleated effect with the ribbon, finished by tying it down with Silver Cord,
I stamped the cake twice and layered it up before glittering the top with the 2 way glue pen and and Dazzling Diamonds,
and as there aren't any buttons yet to match the card and ribbon I made some of my own by punching circles, layering them up and coating with Crystal Effects.
Well that's all for tonight, I hope you like and thanks for stopping by,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

Hello lovely peeps!
How was your weekend?? BBQ's all the way?? we did! and I was even off work this weekend to enjoy it, woo hoo!
So, thanks for stopping by today, I have a simple little card to share with you made using the new Rich Razzleberry colour, yummy isn't it?? I also used the new (to me) I {heart} Hearts stamp set from the mini, so cute! I am in love with it as you may have noticed from my last few posts (and my next few will be using it too!)

Cottage Wall DSP and yummy spotty ribbon both sadly only available while stocks last, or take a share (see top post) and get some of each colour,

Flat bow with Tiny Tags stamps and matching punch, middle tag is punched from the same heart as at the bottom corner, below,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, my friend Mandi wanted to make a card the other day for a mutual friend Sara (I will show you mine later) she didn't know what to make and so we brainstormed and came up with this, she did a lovely job don't you think?? colours used were Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and a hint of black to ground it a little, Sara was pleased and so was Mandi ;-)
And finally I meant to post this picture last week, but got carried away with the rest of my post and forgot to upload it! Doh! It was the winner for the Level 1 hostess stamp set prize draw which I gave you all the chance to win last month with any order, and the winner was Nicky.
She received the set at last weeks class and was thrilled. Keep popping by as I will be having another draw soon to celebrate my having a stand in the Southampton Papercraft show in a couple of weeks, I really hope to see you there. For more info please email me, addy in side bar.
Well, here's hoping the weather forecasters are wrong and the weather stays this good all week,
Have a lovely day and I will be back tomorrow with some more crafty fun,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
