My Mum made this lovely frame using Melon Mambo and Perfect Plum
And finally for today was Mary's frame for her daughter's 21st birthday, what a beautiful gift!
So, I hope you have enjoyed today's (late) post, if you would like to join us at my next class then please message me to join us, I have a couple of places left on each of the days next week sarah-janerae@sky.com

Happy Birthday Emma!

My lovely down line and sweet friend Emma has her special day today! Happy birthday Emma :-)
Of course I had to make her a special card for her special day and I wanted something that was a little different to the norm...
I saw THIS card on my hopping around blog land the other day, now many of you clever folks out there are great with inches, however they totally baffled me with this card! So, I re-designed this card into centimetres and I will post a little tutorial later in the week, time allowing ;-)
Take the belly band off ....
and stand the card up
a little pop up to which I added cakes, of course you can add whatever suits you, one of the Four Frames would be fab!
and the best thing is that it folds quite flat for posting too :-D
Well, I hope Emma has received this already and that she has a lovely day today. I love how I am now friends with ladies I would never have know without SU!
If you would like more information on joining my friendly and welcoming team then please email me for a chat, remember that NOW is the best time to join as during Sale-a-Bration you will also receive an extra stamp set in with your starter kit of ANY VALUE!!! giving you up to £285 worth of stamps and business tools for just £119!!
There aren't many businesses you can start for £119 and making a business doing something you love? Priceless ;-) OK, I know that was a bit cheesy, lol!  but if you already love SU! products then really, your passion for this fab company and their products will shine through and you will be a fab demo! and it can fit in with your life too, that's the bonus of SU! and the way they work, message me NOW to join my team.
Thanks for visiting me today,

Borderlines and Outlines ;-)

Hello,
I have a card for the next male birthday for you today using the fab Borderlines stamp set. This is a great little set and don't forget it is only available for a limited time too! (Spring mini finishes at the end of April)
Now, most of us find Men's cards hard to make but I was really happy with how this one turned out
It did take a while but only because it "evolved" and ended up quite different to the original idea I had!
I found it too plain as I had a totally white panel to begin with so the rip was the later addition
I heat embossed the Celebrate word with clear embossing powder by inking the stamp with Versamark and then Cherry Cobbler inks before stamping, this keeps the ink wet enough for the powder to stick and so then you can heat emboss in any colour ink you have! You can see it better here..
to get the graduated colours I coloured in using the blender pens and Navy ink pad, then I repeated this but only coloured the top section the second time round, I like this look :-)
and inside I added the second part of the Outlined Occasions sentiments with some more borderlines in the corner, spot my not so deliberate mistake??
Right, that's it for today, don't forget Sale-a-Bration ends on the 31st of March so if you would like to place an order to get your FREE stamps or papers then please message me for a chat :-)
Please remember also that NOW is the BEST time to join SU! too as in addition to the fantastic value starter kit you will also get to choose a FREE stamp set (worth any amount) from any of the current catalogues, again message me to chat about your options :-)

Brag Book

Hello there,
Firstly, I must warn you, this is quite a picture heavy post!
Today I have a brag book  to share with you. It is based on the one we made at convention in Germany 3 years ago! It uses just one sheet of 12"x12" card, scored at 6"  across and down. This is what you end up with :-)
I have used River Rock as the base and stamped the front with white craft ink and the Spiced Paisley stamps with Spice Cake DSP and Soft Suede wide striped grosgrain to secure it closed,
Inside I printed my pictures off in Sepia to match the colours of the paper,
here are the first two pages
and then the inside 4 pages
Josh...

Zoe...
Zack...
All 3 kids together
This is a fantastic little project for "non-scrapbookers" as it just dips your toe into the water (so to speak) without having to fill the whole of a 12x12" sheet of card.
I hope you have enjoyed today's make :-)

More Quick Cards

Hello
Back again today with a couple of quick and easy cards using the Fresh Vintage SAB stamp set
This on is stamped simply in Melon Mambo with a Night of Navy card base
With some gorgeous denim ribbon knotted and adhered across the bottom
More Melon Mambo card with matching scallop dotted ribbon, this is a great way to use smaller pieces of off cuts but still add a bit of punch
this is the same image stamped with Versamark and heat embossed using Silver embossing powder, punched out using the 1+3/4" circle punch
That's it for today from me, I'm off to do paperwork, yay! ;-)
Back tomorrow with a brag book inspired from convention 2010
Thanks for visiting today and if you would like to place an order or perhaps would like more info on becoming a SU! demo yourself then please message me for a chat :-)
