This card is a proper recycled jobby !! I made the pop up style like here only this time I enlarged it quite a bit, which I discovered is O.K. if you wont need to post it as I had to strengthen it with extra card so it stood up (fine for this luckily !!) The main star wars mask is actually a tag off a jumper I bought Josh for Christmas, which I threaded with some silver thread (also from a label from a top I had!) and then glued on another piece of card to the back to cover it, and then trimmed round the edges !! Light sabers made from straws with silver card round (incase you couldn't guess!!) Die cut lettering and arrows and punched stars, from holographic card with stars on, 'cause that doesn't show very well on the photo.
Thanks for stopping by and I do have some more to show you tomorrow,
Hugs and hope you are all enjoying 1/2 term too !

P.S. Scroll down to see the other card I made for Josh, which won the prize on CCC !!
They were surprisingly easy to make, the only thing which I made complicated for myself was to put different toppers on them !! I made 16 all together, 4 for boys in blue with a brown heart stamped with the heart from the FREE SU! 'polka dot punches' (Set of 4 stamps, available when you spend £45 until end of Feb) but I did have to be careful not to make them too girly or slushy...
The Girls ones I did in pinks and turquoise patterned paper *all downloads from Pink Petticoat* I topped some with the stamp die and love embossing folder that came with my cuttlebug. I stamped the others with the hearts from another FREE set I had when I was a SU! hostess called 'A Little Bit of Happiness' . I inked these up with a felt tip so I just got one image, then layered it with my nestie Labels 1 die. I filled the kids ones with a selection of flying saucers, jelly beans, dolly mixtures and alphabet sweets.
I made the card base from a sheet of white A4 card just folded in half and layered it with SU sahara sand cardstock (available in the neutrals assorted card pack) Paper is BG all edged with chocolate chip ink, Ribbon SU 1/4" Night of Navy, Sentiment from the Occaisional Greetings set, Button from stash. All Stampin Up! goods available through me, I can ship anywhere in the country, Please email me for more info.
Edit to say: You really need the Stamp-a-ma jig to use this set properly, such a useful tool for all your stamping, and only£9.50 !
I hope you like it, do let me know,
Bye for now, Sarah-Jane x
I have made this with SU! Basic black cardstock and some red card from stash, all distressed around the edges. The image was created with a comic making kit Josh had last year for his birthday, but I then scanned it on my printer so I could watercolour it with my felt tip pens, I am quite pleased with how it turned out in the end... Few buttons fron stash and a knot of ribbon added with glossy accents.
Let me know what you think and please, don't forget to enter my candy giveaway,

Well, I will be back later to show you a card I have made for Josh's birthday. I have a very busy couple of weeks ahead as it is Josh's (DS), Neil's (DH), and my birthday all in the same week !!! (how bad was the planning for that?!) And I have to make them both cards from me/us AND my mum has asked me to make hers too (all different of course) No pressure then eh? !
Well I had better get a movie on or else I'm never going to get it finished,
Back later

Back to the card. I have used my current fave stamp by Leanne Ellis, 'Blossom' and my K&co papers again, Die cut the felt flowers with my cuttlebug and a swirl my Hubby got me for christmas by Bosscut with a bit of bling to liven it all up !!
Another Bosscut corner swirl inside with my Labels 1 nesties layered up inside.
I would love to know what you think of it.
Well thats it for today. I hope you all have a good weekend and stay warm and dry.
Don't forget to come back monday for the candy. Look forward to seeing you then,
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx
I have even done some stamping on the inside as I thought, in such a large card it may be a bit too much to try to fill the space !! Sentiment says 'friends are the family you pick yourself ' I do hope they like it (both my mum and her friend)
Do let me know what you think,
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx
The stack of hearts is from the SU! "Loads of love" set, which I lurve !
And I've even done a bit of stamping on the inside too... Valentines sentiment is from the Seasonal wishes set kindly given to me by Julie, thanks Jules!. It is not as et which I had noticed much, but it has turned out to be a very handy one to have, find it on Page 60. Loads of love sentiment from Loads of love set :)
The little 'tiles' are actually magnets from a set ~ you know the sort you have about 100 of on your fridge to leave each other romantic messages with ???~ well some people do anyway !!! I think they look a bit funky on these cards and well, they make a change if nothing else...
Thanks for stopping by and keep warm,
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx
I hope you likey, and thanks for any comments you may leave,
