60th Birthday Card for a Man using Engraved Greetings by Stampin' up!

Hello,
I was recently asked to make a card for a friends who's Dad was having a special birthday and this is what I made...
I went with (the retired) Engraved Greetings again as it's just the best stamp I have for male birthdays, I don't keep many retired stamps but this is one I simply can't part with ;-) I used the fantastic chevron embossing folder on the lower layer of Window Frames Framelits
I added crystal Effects to the "60" and "Dad" for a little extra pop
and the torn offcuts from the front were made smaller and added to decorate the insert
OK, that's today's card for you.
Just a quick reminder before I go....

Creative Elements by Stampin' up! - Embossed and Watercoloured

Hello,
I have the third and final card from my Heat Embossing master class ;-)
We used the lovely swirl from Creative Elements which is really fine and delicate, in a colour combo of Wild Wasabi, Primrose Petals and a hint of Black makes it pop...
We stamped onto water colour paper using Versamark and heat embossed using black embossing powder before colouring in the flowers and leaves using a water brush and ink pads
we also stamped the background using the same flourish and Versamark for a pale image on coloured card
and finally for today we stamped and punch the sentiment from Petit Pairs with a touch of (retired) spotty ribbon
That's all for today but thanks for stopping by! I hope you have enjoyed this set of class cards, they were certainly one of my favourites ;-)

Emboss Resist with Betsy's Blossoms

Hi,
As promised I have the second card we made at our Embossing 101 class ;-)
We made a total of 3 cards using heat embossing with different techniques including a chalkboard card (yesterday's post) and I will share another tomorrow with you. Today it is Emboss Resist, I love this technique, it works especially well with this stamp from Betsy's Blossoms...
I used a rich colour combo of Raspberry Ripple and Midnight Muse
To achieve this look, rub your card with your embossing buddy (to avoid any extra powder sticking to the card), stamp using Versmark and heat emboss using clear powder. Add swirls of ink with a dauber starting in the middle, I like mine to be darker in the centre so I went on adding in light layers until I was happy with the end result. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners and has a very handy set of matching framelits.
this detail at the top is simply the 1+1/4" scallop circle with a (retired) heart clip, but we do still have some with cool arrows, speech bubbles and hangers HERE ;-) Add a rhinestone and a touch of ribbon and your done!
OK, so that's all for today! Back tomorrow with the last of the heat embossing cards
Thanks for stopping by today

Chalkboard Heat Embossing using From the Heart by Stampin' Up! Teachers Thanks.

Hello!
I am going to share my last Heat Embossing class with you over the next 3 days starting with this Chalkboard embossed card we made. This would make a great teachers card don't you think?
To achieve this look simply stamp with Versamark on black card (I find an elaborate/old fashioned font style stamp works well, this is From My Heart), heat emboss with white powder and add "smudges" with white craft ink using a  sponge dauber, simples!
I used the woodgrain background stamp on the crumb cake layer
the banner across the bottom was made with the 1+1/4" scallop circle punch and added punched stars to each flag.
Right, that's today's card
Back soon with more heat embossed cards :-))))

Engraved Greetings for a teenager

Hi there,
I recently needed a card for my sons friends 16th birthday and so I turned to my old faithful stamp for a boy, Engraved Greetings.
I used a colour combo of basic grey, crumb cake and a touch of cherry cobbler.
I used both the lattice and striped embossing folders as well as layering up the letters on the Window Frames Collection framelits...
 a knot of ribbon as I'm sure I can't do a bow for a boy? ;-)
and a stamped off image decorated the inside
OK,that's all fro now.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed today's card and I'll be back soon with more :-)

Happy Birthday Mandi with Petit Pairs and Feathers ;-)

Hi there!
Today I have a card I made my friend a while ago for her birthday using the boxes kit that was in the Spring/Summer catty. I used the yummy NEW Modern Medley DSP from the current catty with it as she is a big fan of Black and White (or Vanilla which is this ;-))
card feathers from the kit were dry embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder
I added a lush seam binding bow and plenty of pearls too!
and a little something inside to finish
Right, I am off to schedule lots more posts as I have a ton of stuff to share with you!
Thanks for stopping by today,

To order your shares please email me with your requirements at
So, I do have a card to share with before we head off out, I made this for my team training a couple of weeks ago, it's such a quick and easy card to make, it just needs drying time for the glitter glue. In fact I made a similar one for classes this week too which I'll share with you soon (as I still have to edit that pic too!)
For the sentiment I used my new set "Really Good Greetings" with the Gingham Garden Washi Tape. Love this, the colours are so pretty and it's such great value at just £4.50 for the three rolls!!
We kept the inking simple and stamped it in Strawberry Slush, punched out with the 2+3/8" scallop circle punch
A close up of the washi tape, we just tore sections for a rough edge look. There is still so much left on the rolls, it seems to go on forever this stuff!
Right, I'm off to the beach with the family!
Have a fab day and keep safe in the sun wherever you are :-)

Gingham Garden Card with Wildflower Meadow

Hello!
As promised I'm back with the other two cards from the Card Keeper Box set I shared with you last night :-)
We made a pretty card with a scrunched flower first using the blossom punch
and another of those yummy Very Vintage buttons
and a touch of ruffled stitched ribbon to finish
Now, this is the card using the Wildflower Meadow stamp which we inked using the markers.
Sentiment is from Happy Day stamp set, as you can see I got a bit carried away and ended up with "ghosting" around the top edge, ooopsie!
 the Wildflower Meadow flower
and finally a Finishing Touches Edgelit across the top of the paper layer
OK, that's all from me today, back soon with more!

Card Keeper Box with Gingham Garden and Punched Butterflies

Hi there,
I hope those reading this here in the UK are all keeping well in this very hot weather we are having? I have been sadly vacant from my craft room and computer in the heat I'm afraid but have tons of goodies to share so will be updating regularly over the next few days as well as designing cards for my last class 'till 31st August running next week of course ;-)  I have places left for Monday and Tuesday, please message me to book and come along.
Anyway, I have the card keeper box we made at team training to share with you tonight kindly sent to me and designed by Julie K. who is currently in the U.S. on her well earned incentive trip! thanks Jules xx
So, we made this box and four cards, I have the two butterfly ones today but will share the other two tomorrow with you. So, first the box, we used Gingham Garden DSP with Midnight Muse card and Melon Mambo dividers...
side view, I loved making this box as it was easy and I thought it looked really impressive when finished, wouldn't it make a fab gift for a teacher say?
First card in Daffodil Delight, Midnight Muse and White..
the new gingham wheel was used here across the bottom edge (I un-mounted it of course ;-)) and a new Very Vintage button
these butterflies are from the same DSP pack and simply punched with the two sizes of butterfly punches
and the second card in an Island Indigo with Melon Mambo colour-way
 floral butterflies this time..
and a Label Love sentiment in the lower corner
Well, I hope you liked today's cards?
I'll be back tomorrow with more cards from this set but for now
Stampin' hugs,
