A Watercoloured Cake Soiree Wreath

Hello there,
I have an easy watercoloured card for you today using the very lovely Cake Soiree stamp set. I wanted to have a go at this technique as I haven't used it in a while - watercolouring with stamped images (you can see a previous video tutorial HERE using Tuscan Vineyard). I like this effect and it's fairly easy to achieve as most of the hard work is done by the stamps :-D
Let's see...
 I started by stamping the leaves around a lightly penciled circle on watercolour paper. Then I watercoloured the stamped images using an aqua painter, spreading the ink that was stamped on the paper and adding a bit more if needed from the ink pad, before adding some darker green to accent the leaves.
 I then added some extra leaves that I had coloured the same way and some stamped flowers, both cut out using the matching dies.
All finished with a white embossed sentiment and a few sequins.
I must admit to being really pleased with how this card turned out, what do you think?
Today we will be mostly painting the bathroom and hopefully putting up some shelves :-)
Wishing you have a crafty Sunday!

Party Pandas for Stampin' Blends Class

Hi there!
Today I have another card we made at my first Stampin' Blends class this week. I used the Party Pandas and they are really quick and easy to colour and so just perfect for practicing with the blends....
 As you probably know Party Pandas are a Sale-a-Bration freebie and I have teamed them here with some of the Tutti Frutti cards, which are also a SaB product.
I cut them down and used them as a backing layer, a great way to make these free notecards go even further ;-)
 I heat embossed the sentiment with white embssing powder and coloured this one with the dark Pool Party Blends pen, but this technique works well with any of the blends.
 I wanted to keep this card quite flat for easy posting so I also ran my blend pen around the edge of the white layer to make it pop without adding another layer.
And that's all from me for today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card?
Thanks for looking today :-)

Using Fabulous Flamingo for Inspire. Create. Challenges

Hello!
And welcome to another fun week at Inspire. Create. Challenges! And this week it's a challenge to make a card with an animal theme. I must admit I was tempted to use the Magical Day bundle (again) but I did resist ;-)
So, it turns out I don't have very many stamp sets with animals in them! Who knew? Thankfully the other day I had a little tidy up of my craft room and also a move around so my stamp sets are now all in front of where I sit (see my Instagram HERE) and it was because of this I spotted this Fabulous Flamingo stamp set that I haven't used in ages! I really like being able to see all my sets so easily and have remembered lots that I want to play with again...
Anyway, here's my very tropical card for this challenge.....
I stamped the body of the flamingo (birds are animals, right?) in Flirty Flamingo then added the legs and detail in Versamark before heat embossing in gold.
TIP 1: Make sure the first, pink ink layer is totally dry before stamping the detail with the versamark. You can test this by sprinkling gold embossing powder on before you stamp the second layer. If it sticks a little, brush it all off and dry the first layer either with a heat tool or leave it a little longer to air dry.
TIP 2: Be sure to use your embossing buddy before stamping the second parts!
  I mentioned on Instagram that I would love some wallpaper like this stamped background. Hmm, I'm not sure the Mr would agree....
 I was really pleased with how this card turned out. Exactly as I planned, fresh and bright. Can you tell I'm ready for the rain and cold to stop? ;-)
Well, we do hope you can join in with this fortnights challenge.
For more inspiration from the rest of the DT (or just to see their wonderful makes) you can hop over to the Inspire. Create. blog HERE.
Which also happens to be where you can upload your entry too ;-)
I hope you get a chance to craft today!

Today I have the first card we are making in my Stampin' Blends club/class. I offered this class as a "Posted" version as well as "In Person" and you can join in at anytime (I order at least once a month so will add you to the next order, message me to find out when that is) and if you join now you will also get a free Sale-a-Bration gift for two of the months. Bonus :-)
So, these are the first Blends colours I chose for month #1. I love this combination of colours and they will work really well together for lots of images but are really great for florals...
 Which is totally not what I have to show you today! Here I used the (free Sale-a-Bration) set, Epic Celebration's guitar teamed with the Old Olive Blends...
 Sentiment is included in the set.
 Love the Gold Glitter Flakes and they just work perfectly with this guitar for bling without being too "pretty"
 Doesn't this guitar look great in green?
 And one last picture. Just because I took loads! ;-)
Do you love this Epic Celebrations stamp set too?
~~~~~~
So, if you want to join this club and collect all these pens over three months plus lots of extras drop me a line HERE.
~~~~~~
I am also starting a Stamp Club, starting at the end of Feb, for 6 months. Spend £25 and be the hostess for one of the months, receiving all the benefits in your host month! More details HERE.
~~~~~~
Wow! Thats a lot of info to share today so thank you for reading this far!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card for you but for now, I hope you have a lovely Saturday :-)
