Toxic Treats Tic Tac Holder FREE Tutorial

Hello there,
I'm here today with the tutorial I promised you making a Tic Tac holder for Halloween. I just love Halloween, it's second only to Christmas in our house but unfortunately the weather forecast is predicting rain tomorrow, boo! Fingers crossed they are wrong eh??
So, the tutorial. By following this tutorial you can get 6 of these holders from one A4 sheet of card (I used Old Olive card for these) so it's quite economical which is always good when you have a lot to make!
So, let's begin by cutting your card down the length, in half at 10.5cm and then cut each piece into 7.5cm sections
Score at 4.5cm and 6cm along the 10.5 side as shown here
Next I stamped the gate from Toxic Treats in Old Olive ink onto what will be the front of the holder
Then embossed with the Chevron Folder, you can get 2 in the new bigger folders if you are making a batch
This is what it looks like when embossed
stamp the gate again but in Staz On on to white card this time
Punch out with the 1+3/4" circle punch
then ink all the edges and crease lines with Basic Grey ink and a sponge for a spooky effect
add a small piece of red line tape to the centre front
and add a 45cm piece of ribbon to the tape, ensuring the centre of the ribbon is positioned in the middle of the centre scored section
add some dimensionals to the back of the punched gate image
and adhere over the ribbon, lining up the image
adhere the tic tac's to the inside with more red line tape
finish by tying the holder closed using the ribbon
and here are some of them together, they really didn't take very long at all and I will definitely be making more for Christmas ;-)
Well, I hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial and if you have a go at making some then please remember to share them with me, I love to see what you make ;-)

Toxic Treats Halloween Goodies

Hello there today
Now, I know I promised to share a Christmas card today but I remembered I had a couple of little Halloween projects to share with the day fast coming up I am going with these first ;-)
I am going to start with this cute card which would make a great invite too I think. I have used the great Toxic Treats stamp set for both projects
With a colour combo of Rich Razzleberry, Black and Crumb Cake
 and an emboss resist gate,
and for a second project I made a little candy wrapper treat box  but with flat ends for a different look.
and this little topper was made by stamping with versamark and heat embossed with white powder
Well, that's your treats for today, I hope you have enjoyed them and I will be back with a couple more Halloween projects tomorrow,
happy Spooking ;-)

Candy Wrapper and Milk Carton dies

Hello there today,
I hope those reading in the UK you enjoyed your extra hour in bed last night ;-)
Today I have some little gifts I made to give out at my all day classes a few weeks ago.
I started by useing the Candy Wrapper die for these little crackers and added a tree also die cut but using the Holiday Collection Framelit dies,
I decorated the trees using the straight stamp from Make a Mitten, I think it makes for great tinsel ;-) The holly leaf is from the same set
Now, I wanted to give out a little tag saying thanks and so I made these, adding a peg to which I stuck a magnet onto the back so they can be used on the fridge afterwards
a different paper but they are all from the Festival of Prints stack which can be viewed HERE
Sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (page 134 of the main catty) and their matching dies
and here is a group shot sharing the sparkly champagne glimmer paper and snowflakes made with the Bigz die which is also in the Autumn/Winter catalogue
And finally as I did run the All Day Class a second time I made Mini Milk Cartons for a change on those days
same idea with the trees though
I love the look of these trees with their decoration and so in this weeks stamp-a-stack we made a card using the same idea, I will share those with you tomorrow!
Thanks as ever for visiting me today,

2 Papillon Potpourri cards

Hello there!
Today I am going to share with you lots of the fun new products I have treated myself to lately :-)
I will start with this card using Papillon Potpourri and some of the super cool Smooch Spritz spray, I have to say I am already in love with this and think I will have to purchase the other 2 colours very soon too!
You can find it on page 160 of the catalogue HERE
I just have the gold one at the moment and you can see it today with the lovely new butterflies from Papillon Potpourri used with their matching punch.
The DSP is from Floral District and is also available in my PAPER SHARE HERE, a 6"x6" square of each of the DSP in the catty, a great way to try before committing to a full pack ;-)
Plenty of shimmer...
Now, I have another Papillon card and this one we made at class this week, I used a colour combo of Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Pool Party, this is going to be a keeper ;-)
I have just ONE ribbon share for the new In Colours HERE too, hurry before it goes ;-)
Now, usually I would simply cut the banners by hand after trimming them into long strips, but as I was making this I remembered I had purchased the Bitty Banner Framelits! Genius! No more fiddly cutting and they are all exactly the same size, happy days :-)
and of course I had to use one of the Vintage Faceted Buttons and the NEW Chevron embossing folder too, I adore both of these!
Well, I hope you have enjoyed your double dose today and if you would like to place an order for these or any other products then please email me for a chat

Clockworks card

Hello,
Today I have a card using the cool Clockworks stamp set, this is a fab set for men's cards and we made this one at the last stamp-a-stack I held, speaking of stamp-a-stacks I have another one which will be all Christmas cards on the 27th, 29th and 30th October, If you would like to join us then please email me to book a space :-)
Back to the card, I used a simple palette of black and grey with this cool stamp set...
and a retired Star brad with some of the current stripey ribbon form the Autumn/Winter catty
A quick and effective little card today, I hope you like?

Sweet 16 with Memorable Moments by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
it was my friends daughters birthday last week  and she asked me to make her a card with 16 and daughter on it. I immediately thought of the new Memorable Moments stamps set, I have used this a few times already! It's a great modern font and I really hope they bring out an alphabet to match soon!! ;-) I used a modern colour combo of Summer Starfruit (LOVE!) and Baja Breeze, pretty but grown up...
I used Patio Party paper for this card, it has smaller patterns perfectly sized for cards.
This paper is available in THIS SHARE HERE, message me to get your paper share today :-)
I also used framelits to die cut the frame and the wonderful chevron embossing folder, "daughter" stamp is from the very useful For My Family stamp set.
New butterfly punch and vintage faceted buttons, love these! A Lot!
I made small scrunched flowers with the Boho Blossom punch and shimmer paint mixed with alcohol
and an arty angle shows just how deep this card is
and a bit of decoration inside
So, as it was deep I decorated this box to send the card using framelits and more of the DSP
 and finally both together
Well, today's post was a bit picture heave so I hope you managed to stick with it OK?
Thanks as ever for stopping by today

Stampin Up! Fabric Kindle Cases

Hello,
As the title suggests I have been playing around with my sewing machine this last week. I have made a few kindle cases for myself and as I was in the mood to sew, I made some for friends too.
Even adding a zip to them, get me ;-)
OK, so as I made 4 of them get ready for a lot of pictures...again!
This is my case made with Orchard Harvest Fabric which is found in the Autumn/Winter catalogue
lined with the check fabric also in this pack
Now, this one is made with Flirtatious fabric from the main catty. I made this case for my friends daughter, very girly :-)
The lining is the pale pink fabric
This case was made for my friend Mandi, she loves black and red so I used the Timeless Portrait fabric
with the cameo fabric to line it
and finally I made a case using Spice Cake fabric
lined with the soft suede floral fabric
and here they are all together
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today's post and I have perhaps inspired you to have a play with some of the lovely fabric SU! carries :-) Message me to place an order at any time.
I'm off now as we are taking the kids to the Harry Potter studio tour today for Zack's birthday treat, should be fab!!
