Josh's Football Card

Hiya,
How about a nice easy day today?? nope not for me! lol! We managed to get through Josh's party/sleepover yesterday, and a party Zack was invited to and now today Zack has another party!! And yes all mine are shattered and really miserable too!! lucky me ;0)
So here is the card I made for Josh using the great set Just Soccer, bargain too, just £10.95.
I think it would be fab for both men and boys, and we all know how hard they are to make for don't we?? of course football loving girls could be accommodated too ;0)

The fold of this card was inspired by a card I received for my birthday from Ruth, thanks hun x

I cut the boot out and layered it on with dimensionals,

Sparkly card was from my stash but matches Old Olive perfectly don't you think? More Mustard card was used for the scalloped layer and I simply used my snips on an offcut to make the "grass". The background was stamped in Old Olive ink using the football. I love this set, get ready for lots more using it!! Right gotta get homework done before the party!

and finally, just a quick reminder that Sale-a-Bration finishes today!!! you need to email me your order before tonight for your chance to earn free sets :0)

Bye for now, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

Welcome to 2010

STICKY, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS :0)
Hello to you all today,
Did you know?? it is now the best time of the SU! year! It's Sale-a-bration time !!!
So how does it work?? well, in three ways really
1) Place an order of £45 for ANYTHING in the catalogue (plus post) and choose any one of the sets from this leaflet (also in my side bar), but the great thing is you can order as much as you like and get as many of these yummy sets as you want (or need!),

2) Host a workshop and as well as getting the sets on your qualifying order along with your friends receiving theirs, if your party total is £300 or more you will receive additional sets, as the hostess, to all the normal fabulous benefits you already would receive

and 3) the most exciting, I think, is if you sign up to be a demo with me during Sale-a Bration you will get an extra free set of any value from the catalogue and I will match that too, so that's 2 free sets making the total starter kit value up to £315 for just £139!!!

Neils Birthday Card

Hiya,
Another early morning for me, that's 3 this week!! and I am pooped with all this excitement too! Today's birthday boy Josh, (13!! how did that happen????) was awake at 6.30, luckily he didn't actually get up 'till 7.30 when the alarm clock went off, I thought teenagers didn't do mornings?? well, maybe as it's his first day of it he will have to get into the swing! I'll bet he doesn't get much sleep tonight either, 3 teenage boys coming round for his sleepover birthday treat! eeek! sometimes (rarely) I am pleased I work in the evening as I suspect it could be an evening of gaming....
But he did seem pleased with his Xbox, he has been Xbox obsessed for months now, desperate for one he was. Oooo, not looking forward to getting that set up, may have to leave that one to Neil me thinks??
~~~~~~~~~~
Soooo, here is Neils card from Tuesday,
Real Red dsp from Hostess set last year, Kraft card base, layer of black card between them,
Heart to Heart punch used on the same paper and covered in glossy, wide black and white stripey ribbon twisted and attached with staples, very manly ;0)
and man from all in the family stamped with the presents from Happy Moments which were paper pieced with Real Red and Kraft dsp, corners finished off with the mat pack. The Happy Birthday is also from Happy Moments, SaB set only available for another 2 DAYS!!! if you want this or any other SaB set then you need to get in touch with me asap, sarah-janerae@sky.com
Well, gotta get on and make cakes for Josh, we are having an afternoon tea and cakes where some family and other friends will pop round before the sleepover friends come,
Back soon with Josh's card,
Cards and Cupcakes
So, I am much later than I thought I would be with today's post but I have been really busy! It is Neils birthday today and I have been busy baking the yummiest chocolate brownie cupcakes, I haven't made them before but trust me, mm, mmm, mmmm! I will show you a piccie further down this post but first here is the set of Trendy Trees cards I promised you...
I used Kraft card, thin twill tape and Craft White Ink teamed with Basic Grey for the trunks and sentiments,
Word Window punch with sentiments from the set and Sincere Salutations for the others,
on the corners are 1/4" punched circles covered in Glossy Accents to make faux brads.
These would make a great gift set don't you think??
O.K. onto the cupcakes :0) Now, me and the boys (Zoe was at pottery, shh!) had to test just one, between us I might add, just to make sure they were O.K. you understand! and well, Josh wants them on Friday for his birthday afternoon tea, so they must be good eh??
O.K. so I'm not normally much of a decorator, usually as long as it tastes nice then that's O.K. for me but I have been getting into making the tops look pretty, I mean these are quite basic but I enjoyed myself! he he! {notice my cupcake tea towel too?!}
Right must dash 'cause hubby's home and I need to pamper him, just a little you know ;0)
Bye for now, Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
P.S. I know I still have to draw someone for the Lavender bag giveaway, I will do it later on tonight, thanks for your patience xx
Catching Up
Hello,
I have been busy making some cards with the lovely Scrappin' Kit we had on Saturday, now I had loads of time to do them on Saturday but I was far too busy chatting! lol!
So the first 2 photos on here are what I did get done, this card...
and this yummy treat pouch and box I mentioned before,
these next cards are some of the ones I made during this week ;0)
Loving these little punch flowers,
Some less girly ones, I like the contrast of plain circles on textured card for this one. I also paper pieced the present stacks instead of colouring them,
I think this is my favourite for today, some more circle punch flowers and the others on here are Die Cuts from the scrappin' kit, background stamp is from Good Friend which matches the kit,
Well I will save the rest for tomorrow, I hope the colours have kept you awake, nice and bright,
Bye for now, Hugs,
Hello,
Wow! What a weekend I have had! I have spent a lovely weekend up with Julie, and what a lovely weekend it was too :0)
Julie had an all day paper craft class on Saturday, we made a box, a pouch (a bit like the ones I made for convention swaps) and then in the afternoon we covered a tin which was supposed to contain 8 cards, now I made the boxes but well, there were 5 other people who came to the day who are demos or were demos so we just chatted most of the day! I made just 1 card **oops!**
I will share the projects with you later on as I haven't photographed them yet :0)
So here are Siobhan and Niki,
And then Sarah B, Nicci and Jeannette,
And here we all are at the local Indian Restaurant where we went for tea, yummy!
I had the best weekend, Thank-You all ladies, it was a joy to see you all again xxxxx
*********************************************
So onto a card I made a couple of weeks ago, it uses the SAB set Whimsical Words, this set is only available now until the end of Feb so you haven't got long to get your mitts on it!!
Here is a close up of the little train, Choo Choo, I inked it with my markers to get the multi coloured look, the wheel is called Right on Track,
and look, the small wonder words fit perfectly in the oval punch, SU! think of everything!!
Well, that's all for today, I hope you are still with me?? and don't forget you can still enter my little give away for a lavender sachet, see THIS post for more details :0)
Have a great day and I hope you are enjoying the school holidays,
Bye for now, Hugs S.J. xxx
Little Gifts
Hello,
As you read this I will be at Julies all day paper craft class in Yorkshire! I just thought I would share with you the little gifts I have made for the other SU! demos who will be there, some of whom are Jems (Julies team) and some are from other teams, all are lovely ladies who I am really looking forward to meeting again and 1 or 2 for the first time :0) exciting!
I wanted to take a little something for these ladies but as I am flying to Julies and only taking hand luggage it needed to be light and small, so as I enjoyed making the lavender bag for my mothers day class I decided to make some more :0)
Here they are all together...
and a couple of close ups, all stamps used are by SU! please see labels at the bottom of this post for more info and links to other examples,
as are the paper toppers. Some of the ribbon and buttons are from my stash, some are SU!
So onto my little giveaway! Would you like a lavender bag? Well, pop your name down and I will pick a winner on, shall we say next Saturday? to give you a chance to get your entry in,
I will also post to anywhere, so all my lovely followers from around the world can enter this one ;0)
Thanks for stopping by,
All in the Family Baby Card
Good morning to you,
I have been a busy stamper this week :0)
So when I found out that one of Zacks friends at school had gotten a new baby brother I thought to myself "great!" and what better excuse to make a card?? I fancied making neutral one (Sahara Sand to be more precise) instead of the usual baby blue, gee, I hope she likes it....
I also wanted to dust off my All in the Family set as I haven't played with it for ages, well it seems like ages anyway..
When I had finished it I thought it looked a bit bare so I punched out these little hearts with the Heart to Heart punch and topped them with Glossy Accents,
Ribbon is from stash, DSP is Sahara Sand from the Level 1 Hostess pack, Sentiment is a retired SU! set,
Thanks for dropping by, do let me know what you think,
I have made a girly card for my daughters friend who was 9 a couple of weeks ago, and all little girls love cupcakes right? well she seemed to anyways :0)
Cake was inked with markers and this little star is from the same set, stamped in versamark
DSP is tea party, sentiment inside is from the crazy for cupcakes set, scalloped border punch also used here,
Name is stamped using Schoolbook Serif then this and the cakes were edged in 2 way glue pen and drenched in Dazzling Diamonds, Cupcakes and Bling, what more can a girl ask for??
Little birthday sentient is from SAB set Happy Moments, button from stash,
Well, that's all for today, I hope you like,
A little set of 4
Well, I have been creating even if I haven't blogged for a couple of days :0)
I have got so much to do this week as on Friday I am going to visit my lovely friend (and upline) Julie, I am so excited, she has got a full day class on Saturday so crafting and fun all weekend I'm sure!
So here is today's project, made using the FREE set Whimsical Words. {yours too if you spend £45 ;0)}
I have had my eye on this set of DSP for a while now but since I got them a couple of weeks ago I have just not had a chance to get into them until today, so I was very happy to be able to have a play. I have spent most of today getting inky, what a way to spend a day!
Heart to Heart punch on the left and Boho Blossoms (which matches the One of a Kind stamp set here on the middle flower) used on the right to punch co-ordinating card stock,
For the one on the left I punched the paper and turned the flowers round and stuck them back in, love double sided paper! Love you much set used to make the patterned hearts on the right,
Here is the set together, all the sentiments are from Whimsical Words. I even stamped the envies to finish,
Well I hope you like and I will be back tomorrow with some more creations, I will be a much better blogger this week, I promise !
Take care and have a great day,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
Greenhous Garden 70th Birthday
Hello,
Hows ya doin' today? Before I show you today's card I just want to say why not pop over to my friend Rubys blog as she has some yummy candy on offer.
Well onto the card, and as the title suggests it is a card using the Greenhouse Garden set, this fab set at the moment (until the end of feb) will also help the people of the devastated country of Haiti, click HERE to read more about it on the SU! website, I will also happily match their £1 donation for every set you order from me ;0)
So here is the Tri-Fold card I have made using this very pretty set, it is a 2 step stampin' set which just means you can get a great image using toning colours in layers, here I used Pretty in Pink for the base colour and Regal Rose for the detail top layer, I aslo popped a few little pearls on some of the background flowers and some super soft satin ribbon,
On the first fold inside I used just the top layer of one of the flowers to make a co-ordinating but more muted background pattern, Sentiments were printed off the computer,
and the centre panel inside is left blank as I think there are lots of people to sign it,
That's it then for today, if you 'need' this set then now is a great time to get your inky mitts on it... what with helping Haiti and Sale-a-Bration both running until the end of Feb, please do get in touch for more info,
Hope you have a great weekend,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
Mothers Day Class in February
sarah-janerae@sky.com . So do you want to see what we will be making? of course ;0)
The card we will be making is an easel style using the Flight of the butterfly set coupled with Tea Party papers, here is the card ...
And to match we will be making a lavender pillow, stamped in co-ordinating colours onto twill tape, an idea first used by Monica for her 3D convention swaps, I loved it! Thanks for the inspiration Monica xxxxx
lastly, we will be making this matching box for the Lavender bag,
And here they are all together as a set,
I hope you like, I am really looking forward to this class, don't forget, only 2 places left!
Right, must dash and fetch the kiddies :0) Thanks for dropping by,
