Jar of Love With A Little Foxy DSP To Make A Cute Shaker Card.

Hello!
And a happy bank holiday Monday to you from the South of England :-) The sun is shining and it's nice and warm here without being too hot, just perfect... and I'm working on Christmas cards today, lol!
So, I was looking through the cards I have to share with you (yep, there are still loads ;-)) and I realised I hadn't shared this teacher one. I actually made this card originally (before THESE ones) as Zak's teacher left school a couple of weeks before the end of term to have a baby :-) And of course you could easily adapt this design for a back to school card...
I used the "A Little Foxy" DSP stack to make this card...
I used the No foam pads shaker card technique on this jar too...
You can find the VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE
and I teamed the little jar with this fabulous sentiment from Scenic Sayings.
So, I hope you like this Smoky Slate and Pool Party version of this shaker card?

Watercoloured Background teamed with Detailed Floral Thinlits dies by SU!

Hello there and a happy Sunday to you!
What a busy summer we are having here at Chez Rae!! We are trying to make the very most of this summer together before the start of exam year for the middle child and senior school beckons for the smallest. And the eldest? He's working hard at completing his apprenticeship whilst working shifts so we hardly see him :-( Don't kids grow up too quickly? Anyway, that means less blogging from me this August, I'm afraid whilst we enjoy the weather and time together. I will be posting here but I have to be honest, it's going to be a little sporadic over the next couple of weeks. Don't worry, come September and back to school then normal service will resume! Hang tight and thanks for understanding this mummy bloggers torn loyalties *mwah*
So, today I have a card I made based on THIS DESIGN I made a while back. I changed it up slightly to make this card....
I used the same basic idea but instead of making the colours go from light to dark in an ombre effect I just chose three coordinating colours (Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Pink Pirouette) and watercoloured them randomly to make this background.
Love these colours together, what do you think?
Thanks for reading and understanding how important family time always is :-)
Back soon with another card but 'till then,
Hugs,

Using 'Ready To Pop' and 'Time of Year' by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
I have a pretty card to share with you today based on one I have made a few times now actually (you can see the original HERE and a different remake HERE). I used a colour combo of Wisteria Wonder, Flirty Flamingo and a touch of Kraft to make this card...
I used the Ready To Pop stamp set for the vines. Who would of thought, right?....
Love this hostess only stamp set - Time of Year and it fits the banner framelits, bonus!
Finished with a sprinkling of little flowers are from the Botanical Builders dies with some sequins I had left over from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar kit (now retired)
Well, that's all from me for today,
I'll be back super soon with more!

Easy Watercolouring with Stamps using Stampin' Up! stamps and with a Video Tutorial too!

Hello there,
I have a fun card with a video tutorial too for you today.
Now, I am not good at painting or drawing but that's OK because I have stamps!
One of the easiest ways to colour is using your stamps, so take a look at this card...
The sentiment is from the Watercolour Words stamp set and the Olive branch is from Tuscan Vineyard stamps.
I actually made this Crumb Cake version first.
You can use this technique on either crumb cake or thick whisper white card...
Crumb cake gives a more "vintage" feel though, I think.
OK, so here's a quick video for you to show how I made these cards with very few supplies...
And both together to finish today.
I hope you have a go at this fun technique and if you do don't forget to share your makes with me :-)

#WashiWednesday - Easy Floral Boutique Washi Tape Card and August News from SU!

Hey honey, I'm home!
Incase you didn't know I have been away for a little over 10 days visiting with my Dad in Spain and generally chillin' with the family (sadly, number one son couldn't make it though) and of course soaking up some much needed vitamin D whilst we were there :-)
I did manage to get a post scheduled here each day for the whole time I was away so if you don't follow me on other social media hopefully you wouldn't have noticed too much was different?
So, since I have returned home so much has happened in the SU! world! I have been busy, busy in my craft room for the last couple of days too, as I have a large commission to finish :-) but I do still have plenty of projects to share with you so I shall be blogging right on through this summer!
Before I share my #washiwednesday project I must mention the "August only" promotion for the very lovely Thoughtful Branches. This stamp and die set is only available for August (until the 31st or while stocks last!) If you'd like to order this then please do visit my SHOP :-)
*And don't forget to use your Bonus Days codes too!!*
OK, so lets see todays card, this is one from last month's class.
As with most washi based cards this one is super fun and easy to make....
The sentiment (from the Floral Boutique stamp set) was embossed with copper coloured powder. Love this Navy, White and Copper colour combo, it's so fresh looking, don't you think?
I used the matching Floral Boutique DSP to cover the whole of the card front, I'm loving this look and it seems to be around a lot more lately.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today's card? Have you noticed the sneak peek of another upcoming card which can be seen in the August Shopping Code picture below?? ;-)
Thanks so much for looking today and don't forget the Thoughtful Branches Bundle is only while stocks last!
