Marker Club

Hello ,

Would you like the SU! markers ? And would you really like the case for them to go in, which you can only get if you buy all 4 sets at once? But can't afford them all at once? ...

Well I have some great news! I am organising a Markers 4 club!!

Here's how it works: I get 4 people together who agree to buying one colour family pack of the markers each month for 4 months. You also agree to buying a pack of SU!'s fantastic 12x12 textured card* and a pack of buttons* {*or a minimum of £15 worth of your choice of goods, including from the mini}.

You will then receive the markers, card* and buttons* from a different colour family each month so at the end of 4 months you will have all these items from all four colour families and in the last package you will receive the marker case {which you can usually only get when you purchase the whole set for £99.95} without having the huge outlay all at once.

Plus the bonus is: one month of the 4 you will be the "hostess" which means you will get to choose a free level one hostess set and £15 worth of goods from the catalogue !!

Edit to say: If 4 people want to join the club for just the markers that would be fine, but you won't get any hostess benefits,

But that's not all.... I am offering you a bonus free gift with your final package. I will send you a special gift from me to you, to say thanks for joining me in this club and I promise you won't be disappointed !

The cost will be £39.70 plus p+p £3.50= Lets call it JUST £43.00* per month for 4 months
{*if you want any extras, then you can add it to your monthly spend at no extra p+p:) }
If you are interested in joining my club please email me on neil.ray@sky.com

Look forward to hearing from you,

Sarah-Jane xx

Another card for Alan and I've been Tagged!

Morning Ladies,

Hope you are all well today, I have been a very busy bee this week with orders and I've still got more to do ! Today I'm going to show you another one for Alan and last night I had to make him a third one!!! It's not easy making for men, as you all know, but 3 different ones!!!! Anyway I did manage it (with a little help from SU!) and don't forget I'll be doing "Lads and Dads" in May at my card making class, details in the side bar, if you want any more info please email me. I would love to see you there.

This one is for Alan from his 8 year old granddaughter. I have used Loads of Love set (again!) Had you noticed I really like this set ? well, it has so many uses ! I used a masking technique to make a trailer for the truck (an idea I saw in the American SU! catty) Bashful Blue card stock, scalloped edge punch, schoolbook serif alphabet (new and I already LOVE it!) Occasional Greetings set for the Happy Birthday, all SU! rest from stash.

Quick piccie of the inside, not really going to compare to the amazing Bev or Rach but a bit of colour non-the-less! Sentiment from Loads Of Love.

Now I've been Tagged by my lovely SU! sister Anne. You have to go to your 4th file and choose the 4th photo, so here is mine,

This photo was taken nearly 3 years ago, we moved into this house (a right doer-upper, check out that wallpaper!!) and we went on holiday 2 days later, we came home for Zoe's first day at school, Zack was not even a year old, and Josh just looks so young, my how the time flies! One thing I can tell you is that the swirly brown paper isn't still here, lol!
Now I have to choose 4 people to send it onto..

Steph,

Ruby,

Alex,

and Lainey,

Before I go I would just like to say a great big "Happy Birthday" to my SU! sis Sarah, hope your day is magical Sarah ((hugs))

Have fun and I'll be back tomorrow with more card yumminess!

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Zoe's bike

Hello again,
Thought I would share this picture of Zoe on her new bike (This is number 2 !!) We ordered her one from Argos in 20" the same as the one she tried in a shop and put it all together on Friday night, She got up Saturday, sat on it and it was about 3 inches too big, feet not even touching the floor job!!! mad panic into town to get her one that she did fit (arrrrgggghhhh) and this is what she ended up with,

Well alls well that ends well, she is really happy with the bike she ended up with and she has had a lovely weekend of family and friends and a party on Sunday, (Mum and Dad need a week off to recover though !!)
Back tomorrow with a card or two,
Thanks for looking,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
Hello,

Well what a weekend I've just had and all with an hours less sleep :( I don't know about you guys but boy! did we all struggled this morning !! especially the little two who were talking 'till about 9pm last night according to hubby...(I was at work)
Anyway back onto the card and it's another of the zig zag cards to show you ( last one for a while I promise!!) This is the one I made for Zoe's birthday and it is a bit of a cheats card as the HSM people are magnets and the bling word is just peel and stick. But in my defence she is HSM MAD !!! (quite partial to a bit of eye candy Zac Effron myself tho, lol) and her favourite song of all is Fabulous!

I used the lovely new Washington Apple papers as they were a perfect colour (So Saffron) for this summery card with the base in Tempting Turquoise, both SU! and available to buy through me (from Wednesday for the DSP). Prima flowers, buttons and fibres from stash.
That's all for now folks, need to make another card for Alan now (see previous post!) from his grand-daughter,
Don''t forget to let me know what you think,
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Alan's 60

Hello,

I'm back again to see if I can get this card to upload !
Yey! it worked...
I used my lovely new Washington Apple DSP for this card and I made it the same shape as yesterdays, The balloon and streamer are from the crazy for cupcakes set which I paper pieced onto the card, Pumpkin Pie ribbon, Glitter glue on the 60 and Glossy accents on DAD.

Quite simple really, but it is hard to make for a man who doesn't really have any hobbies!

I would love to know what you think of this one,

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

One more sleep 'till Zoe's birthday !

Morning,

I will have to make this a really quick post I'm afraid, as it is Zoe's birthday tomorrow and I have loads to do (as usual!) Just thought I would share a couple of piccies of the little gifts I have packaged up ready for her little friends who are coming to her party on Sunday !

I was in paperchase on Saturday and spotted these pens and boys toys for sale and thought it would make a nice change from the normal party bags, I just prettied them up with die cut circles and Labels nesties then stamped with the Yummy set (from SAB) "A Little Something For You" onto Rose Red card for the girls and dark green for the boys. In Versa mark I added the little flower to the girls and footballs and Rugby balls to the boys , all from the All in the Family Accessories stamp set. Ribbon from stash, attatched with the Fastenater staples.
Well can't get Mr Blogger to do anything else so that will have to be it for today anyway :( !!!!
Have a great weekend,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

Happy Mother's Day x

Hi,
I hope you are all having a lovely relaxing Mother's day, Just a quick post today to show you the Mother's day cards I gave to my mum and mum-in-law.
I used the lovely "Rose is a Rose" set (again!!) in 2 colour ways. I even made the envelopes to match !!

Here is the outside view of them all tied up pretty,
I used an A4 sheet cut in half length ways to make the base and then white card cut the same way, just a little narrower,
Colour combo for the first is close to cocoa and choc chip, Happy and Day are other SU! stamps masked to just use the correct words !
Do you know which ones they are ? Correct answers go into a draw for a little surprise.
(would really love the markers, Watch this space for details on how we could all have them...)
Second colour combo is Regal Rose and Rose Red ink with cameo coral card.
Don't forget to enter my little competition, leave your answers in the comments section and I will draw a winner in a couple of days...
Thanks for looking, I will show you my card from the kids tomorrow when I have taken a piccie ! and also 2 awards I have been given,
Have a great Mother's day,
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Loads of goings on

Morning, and what a lovely morning it is !!

Well what a lovely day we had yesterday, got loads done... both mothers day cards (mum + mil) One card ordered for a friend some colouring in, you are reading the blog of one happy bunny !!!

First of all today I have been given an award... twice ! So double thanks to you both, Sarah and Ruby, for thinking of me ((hugs)) Go check out their blogs they are both fantastic, Ruby does the most amazing things with die cuts (but I am slowly converting her to stamping, lol !!) and my fab SU! sis Sarah who is brill at making ,well, just about anything- boxes etc, Go look...

Now, onto the card !!! Today I'm going to show you the card I made for my Mum-in-law for her birthday which was on Sunday. I used an old Friday sketchers sketch for this as Iwas running really behind this weekend and just couldn't get into it. I think it turned out alright tho and she was chuffed with it, which is the main thing I suppose !! Papers are BG, Image is Gorjuss girl (which I had already coloured and so determined the paper) Ribbon from stash and the lovely brown flower came from.... the pound shop !! yes, I know, how good is that ? it was a long stem with about 20 flowers on it for a quid !!! Just took them off carefully and hey presto, brown flowers !!

Finally today I am going to show you one of the cards I made yesterday , now before I do I would like to say to Julie that I didn't visit any blods yesterday 'till the afternon (no time between gassing !) but I think this card is pretty similar to the one Julie posted !! The only thing I added after I saw Julies was the oval sentiment (thanks Julie for the inspiration!) but the rest I promise you was already done !! I am entering this for the Papertake weekly challenge too , which this week is something edible...
I used the crazy for cupcakes set which I watercoloured using inkapads, linen thread, and the oval all stamps* and matching punches* (*available 1st April, contact me to pre-order and get a free little something...)

Have a lovely day in the sun everyone ! I have a list of about 5 cards which I need to get finished today and Hubby has just rung from work to say can he have another 2 mother's day cards *eek* so I really must go and crack on !!

Please stop by tomorrow as I have some exciting news for you all especially if you live in the Southampton area....

Hugs for now ,

Sarah-Jane xxx

Mothers day cards

Morning all,
I have scheduled this post to come up at 9am so hopefully it will be morning when you read this !! (fingers crossed )

O.K. so lots of piccies today. They are of 3 cards I have made for mothers day (yet not for my mum or mil yet #eeek#)
I have used my new favourite set "A Rose is a Rose" again, told you I had lots of ideas for it !! All stamped with the help of the invaluable Stamp-a-mi-jig.

Now I know these are all pretty similar But the first one is for my Nan from my Mum, I did a special "Julie" bow on this one (hope it's O.K. Julie!) Rose stamped in Summer sun and then over stamped with Regal rose, leaves in old olive. Paper is B.G., Scallop oval at the bottom is in Cameo Coral (don't have Regal Rose card stock as of yet but I think it works O.K. ? !)

This take is with Sweet Always papers on the card base and for the bottom layer of the oval, Choc chip card stock and Pretty in pink textured card stock both punched with scalloped edge punch, Rose stamped in Regal Rose and Rose Red. Choc chip grosgrain ribbon, Sentiment is from the very useful Occasional Greetings set. All SU! and available to buy through me !!

Last Layout you may recognise from a couple of weeks ago on the Mojo Monday Blog. Well I made a card with this L/O and it worked so well I decided to use it again !!. Paper this time is SU! Choc Chip DP, ribbon from stash .

Final Photo is of the inside of one, but they were all pretty much the same, just slightly different colours, background to the rose image in the corner is a scalloped circle punched out and then cut to about 1/2 way in to make a 'flower'. Sentiment is from the Loads of love set.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave,

Lots more to show you this week as have a couple of commissions which I finished just now/last night :)

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Just a note...

Hi,
Sorry I haven't been around much this week but not been feeling too great, not to worry though back to normal now :)
Todays post are some lovely Post it note holders which I first saw on this fantastic blog.

I have used the Love stories Simply scrappin' set for the first 3. I stamped all over the close to cocoa cardstock with versamark using the flower stamp from the polka dot punches set which was free during sale-a-bration. All the paper and flowers come in this marvelous set and there is still tons of it left, infact it has hardly made a dent in the pack !!!!! Certainly celery ribbon,

Inside the holder,

For the second set I used Pumkin Pie and Old Olive cardstock with a mix of Chocolate Chip Designer paper and Haiku DP which is lovely and summery. I also used some more of the lovely felt flowers and my fabby NEW oval punches and sentiments (available to order from 1st April !!) Choc chip and Pumkin pie grosgrain ribbon,

and inside another SAB stamp punched with the scalloped circle punch and more of the oval punches ( so loving these-you know you NEED them!!) I punched the flowers from Haiku (on the right) with the 1+3/8" punch

All Stampin' Up products available through me, just email me for details or look through the cattie on the side bar, All mini catalogue goods available to pre-order ready to go in on 1st April, all pre orders will receive a little something special from me too !! So what are you waiting for... go look !!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to come back tomorrow for some Mothers day cards ...

Hugs to you all,

Sarah-Jane

Rob's 50 !!

Morning,

Today I have another Peek-a-boo box to show you. I made this for my Uncle (mum's bro) as it was his birthday on Mon too!( the same day as my mum, but not the same age!) Lots of photos for this one !!

I used the very versatile "cheers to you"
set like I used for the girly bookmarks the other day !!
Mum said when she spoke to him they all (friends and family) liked it ! They live in Birmingham so we didn't go to see him :(
Circle and scalloped circle punches used to make layers and pop up bit in the middle. I stamped the images twice with staz on and water coloured using the so saffron ink pad and a water brush. I then layered up the images with foam pads. Bit of glossy on the champagne and some fluffy stuff on the beer mug. Diecut the 50 and lastly I used "Circle of friendship" set and punches to make layers on the top.
Thanks for looking and have a lovely day,
Must do some crafting today so I have something to show you tomorrow **wink**

1st Workshop attempt

Afternoon all,

Sorry today's post is a bit late but as it is Zack's day off from pre-school I decided to take him into town for a play at a place called Jungle Jim's, It is a massive ball pit/soft play area. He had a fantastic time and is thoroughly exhausted now !! and I got to read most of a newspaper too which really is a rare occurrence these days !!!

Anyway onto the card and Bookmark which we made at my practice workshop, which I coerced my girlfriends into coming to, on Saturday !!
Although they did all say that they had had a lovely time.
I kept it very simple as some are crafters but 2 were definitely not before they came... but may be tempted now ??!
For the card I used my lovely A Rose is a Rose set as the double stamping technique is v. impressive, yet surprisingly easy, especially with the handy Stamp-a-ma-jig and some more bookmarks the same as last week. Some of the girls used Creamy caramel card stock and did beer jugs instead of cocktails (from the cheers to you set ) to make bookmarks for the men in their lives.
Rubbish but I forgot to take pictures when they were all here, note for next time- leave camera somewhere you can see it to remind you to take a photo !!
All SU! goodies were used and are available to buy through lil' ole me !! and I can ship to anywhere in the country !!
E-mail is in side bar if you want to contact me with any questions or to arrange a party (although that may have to live somewhere close for that , lol).
Thanks for looking,
hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Lastly a quick look at the card I made for my mum who's birthday it is today, Now this is not my usual style but my mum is really into her garden so anything gardeney (made up word) is fine with her and this card is very summery and busy- perfect !! (Plus I want to keep the rose is a rose set for her Mothers day card !!) I used an 8x8 card blank and K&co papers, and it fits the spoonfull of sugar challenge this week too, which is torn edges! She really liked it when I took it round this morning !!

As I say, Busy !!!!

Back tomorrow with the workshop card and bookmark,

Hope you didn't fall asleep, lol,

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xxx

Stampers 10 anyone ?

Hi again !
I have been thinking for a while now (I'm sat down, don't worry!) about setting up a stampers 10 club... "What's a stampers 10 club ?" I hear you ask , Well it's a club which I get 10 people to join for 10 months who then agree to spend a minimum of £15 per month on SU! goods (not too hard eh?!) plus p+p.
Every month someone different will be the virtual "Hostess" and that person will receive at least a level 1 hostess set of their choice and a minimum of £15 to spend in the catty on anything else they choose (more if everyone spends more) with me so far ?!
Now, to be the virtual hostess, don't worry, you don't actually have to have a party, you just order through me as normal and you'll just get the benefits !!
If you join I will send you a catalogue free of charge, as my gift to you (usually £4.95) if you don't already have one, so you can pour over it and make your choices too ! You will also be first to hear any SU! news directly from little old me.
Sound good ?
I will leave this post at the top of my blog for a while to see if anybody is interested (who wouldn't be!). I joined SU! like this and now I'm in love with their products, this is a great way to build up your stash without breaking the bank or having to have party, plus you will get some freebies thrown in too !!
Please email me if there is anything else you would like to know on neil.ray@sky.com
If you live in Hampshire or the New Forest area and would like a SU! party/workshop, please contact me on this email too !
Look forward to hearing from you soon,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

Oh Brother !!

Hi ladies (and men if there are any out there reading this !)
Another really quick post today to show you a card which was a request for a friends little girl to give to her little bro ! they wanted brother in large letters, the age (2) and Thomas on it. This is what I came up with and in about 1/2 hr too, which is amazing for me as I normally uhm, and ahh for yonks before deciding which way to go ...

Ingredients for this one were : Thomas sticker (stuck onto acetate then cut out then adhered with foam pads to give dimension), Green card, blue core'dinations and buttons from stash, Swiss dot cuttlebug folder, DCWV Paper, SU! Linen thread, large SU! scallop punch, 1", 1+1/4" and 1/2" SU! punches, Certainly celery SU! ribbon, Circle of friendship greetings stamp and Happy birthday stamp from the Occaisional Greetings Set (both SU!) for the inside, not that it shows up very well I'm afraid and I've given it to her so can't re-take sorry :(

I also used the scallop circle punch to take a bite out of the inside panel to let the Thomas pop out !!
Please let me know what you think,
Have a great rest of the weekend and I'll be back Monday to show you what we made for my 1st (practice) worshop.
Hugs,
Sarah-Jane xx
