Long Time No See!

Hello,
Hope you have enjoyed this lovely warm weekend, gutted about the footie tho, Not good boys (in case they happen to be reading this! LOL!)
So anyway, my blog title explains a it about my post today, I have used the lovely A Rose is a Rose set which as mentioned I haven't used in far too long, here it is teamed with Pale and Perfect Plum, a gorgeous combo. Sadly Pale Plum will be leaving us in October so if you "need" this colour ink pad or card (or any other colour for that matter) then contact me for further info,

I cut out and layered some of the roses and leaves, Super soft white satin ribbon, great for big bows like this,
and a quick pic of the inside,

Now, before I go I thought I would share with you how I decorated my bone folders before the craft show I did, I used the very yummy stitched felt flowers, they are just so versatile,

Well thats all for today, I am taking Zoe to Paultons Park for the day today as she has another inset day (just Zoe this time)
Lets hope the weather keeps up, at least 'till next weekend when I am not working ;-)
Thank for dropping by,
Stampin' Hugs

Rose is a Rose Wedding Card

Hello again,
As promised, here I am, straight back with a wedding card which was ordered by a friend, the colours she wanted were pinks, no other specifics requested and this is what I made...

I used the lovely Rose is a Rose set in Pretty in Pink for the base colour and Regal Rose for the top details, Certainly celery for the leaves which I stamped off to make paler in the base layer and "full strength" for the top!!
I cut out each element and layered them up to look like a bouquet (hopefully) I then stuck one end down and used foam pads under the other end to give some dimension.

Dazzling Diamonds applied with a glue pen,

Wire and Pearl beads, Pearl card, cuttlebug folder, Gem Letters, all from stash,
Well that's all for today, I am away for the weekend but have another wedding card to show you, which I will try to get scheduled for tomorrow, before I go to work tonight,
Thanks for popping by and for all your kind words earlier in the week too,
Take Care

Do not look Elaine!!!!

Afternoon folks,
Welcome to a picture fest! I seem to have got a bit carried away with the ole' camera today ;0)
First of all I have a quick picture of all the boxes I finished yesterday for Zacks pre-scool teachers, I also went to the sweet shop as I was not happy with the colour coordination of the sweets from yesterday! I know sad isn't it? don't you feel sorry for me? rofl!!!!

Next set of photos are regarding my lovely SU! sister Elaine (go pay her a visit she will be thrilled) She has requested one of my Hodgepodge and ribbon shares (still a couple left) so I made a box for the hardware to go in and a topper for the ribbon to say "Thanks" using rose red card and the gorgeous A Rose is a Rose set (and sincere salutations for the sentiment on the topper) Don't forget Elaine gets a TICKET INTO THE CANDY DRAW ON 1ST JULY. One ticket per item ordered untill the end of June. Contact me for more details, email in side bar.
Here is the share in it's box :0)
And both together....
Next up is a picture of the raffle prize for Zoe's school, {poor love is poorly today,} all wrapped in cellophane with a lovely bow (which I cheated and bought from the local florist!!) I think it turned out well once it was all finished I just hope the lucky winner likes it ;0)

Last of all did you notice anything new in the set of photos with the hardware share? No? go back and look again!! lol! Well, my good friend Ruby (go check out her blog she is very talented) sent me this lovely mini easel this week, I am so thrilled, Thank-You so much Ruby, I love it!*mwah* xxx

Anyway that's enough from me for today, Thanks for sticking with me for all these photos ;0) Hope you all have a fab weekend and "Happy Fathers Day" to all you men out there xx
Take care, Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

Mojo for Nans Sister!

Hello all,
Thanks for all your encouraging comments you left yesterday, I can't honestly say my mojo is back... but I did manage to make this card for my nan to give to her sister next week! Now, I don't often get to make cards for my nan to give, just to send to her, as she lives in Birmingham (and we live in Southampton!) but, she is down for a week staying with Mum. I didn't go and see her yesterday though as Josh was poorly, he is better today but not at school as he had a very restless night with the temperature, lots of mumbling in his sleep :( poor love. Back to school tomorrow though me thinks, anyway onto the card :)

I used the following (all SU!) Sweet always papers, Regal rose cs, A Rose is a Rose stamped in regal Rose and Rose red, Regal rose ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, scallop edge punch, Dazzling Diamonds glitter on roses. Other: nesties and computer generated sentiment.
I used this weeks Mojo sketch for the layout on this card and I am happy with the final card, Got a list of about 5 more to do this week so that should get the old creative juices flowing!
Here it is at a jaunty angle so you can see the layers and (not really well) the glitter!
Have a good day, must dash just realised the time , got to take Zack to school !

60th Rose is a Rose

Hello all,

Hope your day is going well, It's pretty grey here and has been raining on and off most of this morning :( I popped into the local supermarket this morning... BIG mistake, it was bedlam !!! Anyone would think they were shutting for a month!! Anyway onto the card for today...

First of all I would like to apologise for the photo, it's not the best and really doesn't do this card any justice, but I finished it V.V. late last night.

This was another order from hubby's work {{Thank-you Ladies}} and it is for a lady called Rose, well I just had to use this set didn't I ??! I stamped the first step in Summer Sun ink and Regal Rose was used for the second. I also added a bit of glitter to the roses with a glue pen, but it doesn't really show up on this piccie. Sentiment was computer generated.
I then used pretty in pink card stock for the first layer of the base card and covered the bottom half with Sweet Always patterned paper, join covered with Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. I did put a little rose head inside too, but alas no photo, sorry!
Well have a great rest of the day and I will do the tutorial for the cross over card for you in the next couple of days,
Bye for now, Sarah-Jane xx

Happy Mother's Day x

Hi,
I hope you are all having a lovely relaxing Mother's day, Just a quick post today to show you the Mother's day cards I gave to my mum and mum-in-law.
I used the lovely "Rose is a Rose" set (again!!) in 2 colour ways. I even made the envelopes to match !!

Here is the outside view of them all tied up pretty,
I used an A4 sheet cut in half length ways to make the base and then white card cut the same way, just a little narrower,
Colour combo for the first is close to cocoa and choc chip, Happy and Day are other SU! stamps masked to just use the correct words !
Do you know which ones they are ? Correct answers go into a draw for a little surprise.
(would really love the markers, Watch this space for details on how we could all have them...)
Second colour combo is Regal Rose and Rose Red ink with cameo coral card.
Don't forget to enter my little competition, leave your answers in the comments section and I will draw a winner in a couple of days...
Thanks for looking, I will show you my card from the kids tomorrow when I have taken a piccie ! and also 2 awards I have been given,
Have a great Mother's day,
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Mothers day cards

Morning all,
I have scheduled this post to come up at 9am so hopefully it will be morning when you read this !! (fingers crossed )

O.K. so lots of piccies today. They are of 3 cards I have made for mothers day (yet not for my mum or mil yet #eeek#)
I have used my new favourite set "A Rose is a Rose" again, told you I had lots of ideas for it !! All stamped with the help of the invaluable Stamp-a-mi-jig.

Now I know these are all pretty similar But the first one is for my Nan from my Mum, I did a special "Julie" bow on this one (hope it's O.K. Julie!) Rose stamped in Summer sun and then over stamped with Regal rose, leaves in old olive. Paper is B.G., Scallop oval at the bottom is in Cameo Coral (don't have Regal Rose card stock as of yet but I think it works O.K. ? !)

This take is with Sweet Always papers on the card base and for the bottom layer of the oval, Choc chip card stock and Pretty in pink textured card stock both punched with scalloped edge punch, Rose stamped in Regal Rose and Rose Red. Choc chip grosgrain ribbon, Sentiment is from the very useful Occasional Greetings set. All SU! and available to buy through me !!

Last Layout you may recognise from a couple of weeks ago on the Mojo Monday Blog. Well I made a card with this L/O and it worked so well I decided to use it again !!. Paper this time is SU! Choc Chip DP, ribbon from stash .

Final Photo is of the inside of one, but they were all pretty much the same, just slightly different colours, background to the rose image in the corner is a scalloped circle punched out and then cut to about 1/2 way in to make a 'flower'. Sentiment is from the Loads of love set.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave,

Lots more to show you this week as have a couple of commissions which I finished just now/last night :)

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

1st Workshop attempt

Afternoon all,

Sorry today's post is a bit late but as it is Zack's day off from pre-school I decided to take him into town for a play at a place called Jungle Jim's, It is a massive ball pit/soft play area. He had a fantastic time and is thoroughly exhausted now !! and I got to read most of a newspaper too which really is a rare occurrence these days !!!

Anyway onto the card and Bookmark which we made at my practice workshop, which I coerced my girlfriends into coming to, on Saturday !!
Although they did all say that they had had a lovely time.
I kept it very simple as some are crafters but 2 were definitely not before they came... but may be tempted now ??!
For the card I used my lovely A Rose is a Rose set as the double stamping technique is v. impressive, yet surprisingly easy, especially with the handy Stamp-a-ma-jig and some more bookmarks the same as last week. Some of the girls used Creamy caramel card stock and did beer jugs instead of cocktails (from the cheers to you set ) to make bookmarks for the men in their lives.
Rubbish but I forgot to take pictures when they were all here, note for next time- leave camera somewhere you can see it to remind you to take a photo !!
All SU! goodies were used and are available to buy through lil' ole me !! and I can ship to anywhere in the country !!
E-mail is in side bar if you want to contact me with any questions or to arrange a party (although that may have to live somewhere close for that , lol).
Thanks for looking,
hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Golden Roses

Hello to y'all !!
Today's card is a card for my mum's friends who are celebrating their Golden Wedding anniversary in March, (we can only hope our husbands will put up with our crafty mess for that long !!!!) I just had to have this "Rose is a rose" set just for this card !! (and a few others) Have got lots of ideas for this set so keep 'em peeled !!

I used pearlescent card with a computer generated sentiment, the lovely "Rose is a Rose" stamp set with Summer sun ink from the earth elements colour family. I stamped off on scrap paper for the first layer to make it pale and then used it 'neat' for the second step so you get the contrast, all done with the help of the trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig. Old olive for the leaves and stems using the same technique. Also added a bit of fine glitter which you can't see very well on the photo as it was very grey and even snowing for a bit here this morning- roll on the summer I say !! White organza ribbon and Rainbow drops from stash.
Hope you like it and I will be back later with a couple of projects for our "Jems challenge" !!
Hugs
Sarah-Jane xx
