Button is from the Latte set, linen thread tied around the choc chip layer and the Cutter Kit was used to distress the edge of the main panel,
I also added the sentiment to the inside,

Loads of Love

Hello,
I have a set which I haven't used in far too long to share with you today, it was one of the first few sets I bought from SU! and I had forgotten how cute it really is ;-) and don't forget there is 20% off this and many other 2 step sets for August only, please see top of blog for more details or email me with any questions or your order, addy is in side bar.
Anyway, here I have teamed it with Rich Razzleberry and the lovely Cottage Wall papers,

I paper pieced the truck and the hearts, I love doing this with this set! with a touch of piercing around the image,

I finished it by adding some crystal effects to the windows, wheels and some of the hearts.
We are having the steel put in across the back wall today, very exciting but also very dusty round here too!
Thanks for stopping by today I will be back tomorrow with a card using Blooming with Beauty,

Teachers Assistant Presents

Hello,
What a lovely cold and frosty morning! but gee, it's so busy at the moment! what with school plays, Christmas shopping, wrapping, teachers gifts to make blah de blah!!!
Anyways, I hope you are all ready for the end of term?? If not then I'm here to help today!
These are going to be for the teachers assistants.
Now I know lots of people make these but most of the ones I have seen are just too wee for anything useful to fit into them. So I have made these ones using the whole sheet of A4 card for each box. I have filled these each with a 1/4 of a tin of quality street, so a decent size but still economical to fill IYKWIM! You could of course swap the choccies-maybe for some of those mini bottles of smellies? these would be a perfect size ;0)
Right onto the nitty gritty- Card used is Old Olive, stamped with the tree from Loads of Love in the same colour ink, sentiment from the same set in Real Red onto Very Vanilla card with more Real Red card and Ribbon to finish off.
And I used the last of my Christmas tree charms to finish them off, tied on with linen thread which is also tied around the sentiment panel,
I hope you like and if you want me to do a quick tutorial with the measurements for this larger size box please let me know,
Have a lovely rest of the day, I'm off out for lunch with hubby today :0)

New Home Card

Morning Folks,
Well, it looks like it may just be another lovely day today (fingers crossed).
Today I have a new home card to show you. It was sent to the lovely Ruby who has not long moved, I am just hoping she has received it already, well, I sent it a week ago so I should be O.K. to post on here... (hope you do have it Ruby!)

I have used the Neighbourhood wheel for the houses in the background and water coloured them with ink pads. The little truck is from the Loads of Love set and the furniture in the back is from the Loads of Love accessories. I cut the hole with my nesties and ribbon and card stock is from my stash. Sentiment is computer generated and punched with SU! punches.

If anyone is interested in how I made this and would like me to do a tutorial leave me a comment and I will try to fit one in sometime this week.

Just a quick reminder for anyone reading this who lives near Dibden Purlieu (Southampton/ New Forest) don't forget I am having a card making class this Saturday at my house- details in the side bar- I still have a couple of places left! I would love to see you here x

Have a great day and I hope the sun shines wherever you are too

Another card for Alan and I've been Tagged!

Morning Ladies,

Hope you are all well today, I have been a very busy bee this week with orders and I've still got more to do ! Today I'm going to show you another one for Alan and last night I had to make him a third one!!! It's not easy making for men, as you all know, but 3 different ones!!!! Anyway I did manage it (with a little help from SU!) and don't forget I'll be doing "Lads and Dads" in May at my card making class, details in the side bar, if you want any more info please email me. I would love to see you there.

This one is for Alan from his 8 year old granddaughter. I have used Loads of Love set (again!) Had you noticed I really like this set ? well, it has so many uses ! I used a masking technique to make a trailer for the truck (an idea I saw in the American SU! catty) Bashful Blue card stock, scalloped edge punch, schoolbook serif alphabet (new and I already LOVE it!) Occasional Greetings set for the Happy Birthday, all SU! rest from stash.

Quick piccie of the inside, not really going to compare to the amazing Bev or Rach but a bit of colour non-the-less! Sentiment from Loads Of Love.

Now I've been Tagged by my lovely SU! sister Anne. You have to go to your 4th file and choose the 4th photo, so here is mine,

This photo was taken nearly 3 years ago, we moved into this house (a right doer-upper, check out that wallpaper!!) and we went on holiday 2 days later, we came home for Zoe's first day at school, Zack was not even a year old, and Josh just looks so young, my how the time flies! One thing I can tell you is that the swirly brown paper isn't still here, lol!
Now I have to choose 4 people to send it onto..

Steph,

Ruby,

Alex,

and Lainey,

Before I go I would just like to say a great big "Happy Birthday" to my SU! sis Sarah, hope your day is magical Sarah ((hugs))

Have fun and I'll be back tomorrow with more card yumminess!

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Mothers day cards

Morning all,
I have scheduled this post to come up at 9am so hopefully it will be morning when you read this !! (fingers crossed )

O.K. so lots of piccies today. They are of 3 cards I have made for mothers day (yet not for my mum or mil yet #eeek#)
I have used my new favourite set "A Rose is a Rose" again, told you I had lots of ideas for it !! All stamped with the help of the invaluable Stamp-a-mi-jig.

Now I know these are all pretty similar But the first one is for my Nan from my Mum, I did a special "Julie" bow on this one (hope it's O.K. Julie!) Rose stamped in Summer sun and then over stamped with Regal rose, leaves in old olive. Paper is B.G., Scallop oval at the bottom is in Cameo Coral (don't have Regal Rose card stock as of yet but I think it works O.K. ? !)

This take is with Sweet Always papers on the card base and for the bottom layer of the oval, Choc chip card stock and Pretty in pink textured card stock both punched with scalloped edge punch, Rose stamped in Regal Rose and Rose Red. Choc chip grosgrain ribbon, Sentiment is from the very useful Occasional Greetings set. All SU! and available to buy through me !!

Last Layout you may recognise from a couple of weeks ago on the Mojo Monday Blog. Well I made a card with this L/O and it worked so well I decided to use it again !!. Paper this time is SU! Choc Chip DP, ribbon from stash .

Final Photo is of the inside of one, but they were all pretty much the same, just slightly different colours, background to the rose image in the corner is a scalloped circle punched out and then cut to about 1/2 way in to make a 'flower'. Sentiment is from the Loads of love set.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave,

Lots more to show you this week as have a couple of commissions which I finished just now/last night :)

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Two Card Monday !

Morning all,
Well, firstly I would like to say a huge 'Happy Birthday' to Siobhan! Hope you have a lovely day hun .
Then I have the card to go with the bookmark I showed you yesterday. It is a DL size, I thought it woud make a nice change to make this size ! I used "Loads of Love" stamp set with "Not quite navy" cardstock and "Old olive" ribbon, Paper pieced with "Old olive Designer papers" the same as the bookmark yesterday, except I put presents in the back of the truck. Background stamped in Versamark.

The second card is for a challenge the lovely Julie set for our stampers 10 group using the paper, die cut flowers and ribbon she sent to us. I added a Sugar Nellie image coloureed with my lovely new Promarkers, a charm from my stash and a sentiment from SU! (hostess set) I also added faux stitching around the edges.

I hope you like what you have seen, Please let me know you have visited and leave me a comment, Back tomorrow with more card yumminess !!!!

For DH from Mum !

Hi,
Just a quick post today to show you the card I made for Neil from my mum
(clue in the title! he he !)
I used a square card blank from CWC and cut a chunk off the front. I stamped the background with my SU! polka dot background stamp (loving this, can see many uses coming up! ) Then stamped the truck from Loads of love and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the man driving and the presents in the back, such a useful little tool! I then paper pieced the truck onto some DCWV paper and water coloured the man and gifts.

Diecut lettering in the same paper as the truck Doodled with a faux stitch- which I think includes me for the challenge at A spoon full of sugar. Tag I had from ages ago which were just a pack of office ones from WH Smith, stamped with sentiment from Loads of love, button from stash. I also stamped polka dots just down the back edge where it shows, ribbon from stash too.
Thanks for looking and thanks in advance for any gratefully received comments !
