Sketch challenge for I.C.C #50 using New Wonders stamp set.

Hello!
And welcome to this fortnights challenge for Inspire. Create. Challenges and this time we have a wonderful sketch to inspire you!
I chose to flip the sketch, well a large part of it anyway by making a landscape card instead of a portrait one. That's the great thing about sketches, just flip them to suit your needs. As long as the basic elements are there (for a challenge) then you're all good and if you are just creating for you, well as long as it helps you create then great!
OK, back to this card, I used the new "Host only" stamp set New Wonders to make this...
I stampd with tiny stars from Little Twinkle using Versamark on the new Soft Seafoam card for the background.
Topped with a Blends coloured fairy from the New Wonders stamps.
Pop in a sentiment and a few adhesive sequins that's it! A simple and fun card!
So, if you'd like to see what the rest of the DT have made head over to the ICC blog and that's where you can add your creations too ;-)
Thanks so much for looking today :-)

Gingham Paper and Dual Stitched Edged Rectangle Dies!

Hello to you today!
I have a really fun card for you today using the soon to be retiring Amazing Life stamps which are currently in a bundle with the, thankfully remaining, dual stitched rectangles. Gee, that's a mouthful, lol! Basically if you want the stamp set you could get it as a bundle now and save 10% or else you'll still be able to get the dies when the new catalogue comes out but not the stamps.
Anyway, I loved making this card as it really shows off the dual stitching of these rectangle dies and teamed with the gingham paper I think this gives this card a super, spring like feel...
I simply held two dies together, skipping the middle size, using washi tape (or a post it note) before die cutting off the edge of a card front sized (10.5cm x 14.8cm UK size) thick white card layer.
Add a card sized piece of gingham paper (it would look great in all colours, I think) flat to the card base before topping with the large part of the die cut card layer using foam pads.
Decorate the inserts using the Amazing Life stamps (I coloured these flowers using my blender pens and ink pads) and add them in, again with foam pads, to finish.
So, that's todays make, what do you think? I'm really hoping it inspires the better weather to make a return here ;-)
I have (another) a super busy week here but I will definately be back on Wednesday with another Inspire. Create. Challenge post so I do hope you'll join me then?

Amazing Life Cake Stamp

Hello!
Today I have a card using the Amazing Life stamps. Funny story though as this actual card isn't the one I made '-' I realised when I went to take pictures that it had been accidentally swapped at the class I ran using this set. No biggie though as all the classes were done and everyone had copied it already ;-) I'm sure when the person goes to use it they'll notice because it's funny isn't it, how we can recognise our cards even though they are all the same design :-)
Anyway, I digress, lets see this card...
I used this gorgeous quilted embossing folder (called tufted) for the background
And coloured the cake and words with my blends pens.
Layered using the rectangle stitched framelits and finished with some gold ribbon (retired) but you could try the mini gold sequins instead :-)
OK, so that's all from me for today.. I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend.
We had yesterday off and so were doing house and garden stuff but I'm working much of the rest of the weekend :-(
Hopefully I'll have chance to get more posts on here written at least ;-)
Thanks so much for looking today, back soon with more!

Piece of Cake for Inspire. Create Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to a new card and a new challenge with Inspire. Create. Challenges.
And this week (week #40!) we have a colour challenge...
I wanted to use the Piece of Cake stamp set for my make and I teamed it with some of the SaB butterfly paper (did you get some?) which has black and white patterns on the "reverse" side and I've added plenty of glittery accents too!
I stamped the cake image and coloured it using light and dark smoky slate and also light black blends pens, topped with a glittery flower made with the needle and thread dies.
I layered the cake image onto a black glittery rectangle after punching it out (fingers crossed for the punch coming back in stock soon) but you could always stamp and colour the stand and cake directly onto the regular whisper white card layer until it does.
All finished with a little black twine bow. This card is super sparkly in real life, I'm not sure that comes across so well in photographs? I'll add a little video on Instagram/FB sharing the sparkle ;-)
Please do head over to the ICC blog and see what the rest of the DT have made, they have been super busy making for you! And we'd love to see your makes, of course!
Thanks so much for looking today, I'll be back soon with more :-)

Fable Friends for an Inspire Create Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Inspire. Create challenge post!
This week it's a pretty, spring inspired colour challenge using Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Whisper White. I did take the liberty of adding some Crumb Cake too as I thought this image from the lovely Fable Friends stamp set would be perfect...
I used my blends to colour this little guy in before de cutting the image with my stitched edge framelits and layering it onto some (retired) green glitter paper.
And to finish I added some of the wooden leaf embellishments from the Sale-a-Bration choice - Butterfly Elements, free with a £45 spend.
I also embossed the top layer of this card with the subtles embossing folder before adding a little spotty ribbon bow and some enamel shapes to finish.
So, what do you think? We'll be using this set in my March class (more details HERE) if you'd like to join us please do drop me a message :-)
OK, I'll be back soon with another make but for more ideas using this colour combo head over to see what amazing makes the rest of the DT have made HERE and then share your ideas over there too ;-)
Happy stamping!
