Sketch challenge for I.C.C #50 using New Wonders stamp set.

Hello!
And welcome to this fortnights challenge for Inspire. Create. Challenges and this time we have a wonderful sketch to inspire you!
I chose to flip the sketch, well a large part of it anyway by making a landscape card instead of a portrait one. That's the great thing about sketches, just flip them to suit your needs. As long as the basic elements are there (for a challenge) then you're all good and if you are just creating for you, well as long as it helps you create then great!
OK, back to this card, I used the new "Host only" stamp set New Wonders to make this...
I stampd with tiny stars from Little Twinkle using Versamark on the new Soft Seafoam card for the background.
Topped with a Blends coloured fairy from the New Wonders stamps.
Pop in a sentiment and a few adhesive sequins that's it! A simple and fun card!
So, if you'd like to see what the rest of the DT have made head over to the ICC blog and that's where you can add your creations too ;-)
Thanks so much for looking today :-)

Ride with Me for Inspire. Create. Challenge #48

Hello!
And welcome to another Inspire. Create. Challenge.
This fortnight is the best and easiest challenge in the universe (IMO) as it's probably the most made card by anyone - Birthdays! Any birthday card or project will be eligible to entered (see all the guidelines HERE) and we'd love to see your creations!
I made this card using the new Ride with Me bundle for our grandsons birthday recently and well, it's just perfect for this challenge, see...
I die cut Jacksons name (three times) with the new Hand Written Prose dies and coloured the top layer with my Blends for an ombre look before layering the letters together for more impact.
I coloured the truck and balloons with Blends too and added a little stamped star from the Little Twinkle stamp set, topping them with sequins, of course!
And that's that, all done. I hope you share your Birthday makes with us on the challenge blog and if you're looking for some inspiration please do head over to the ICC blog for tons of inspiration from the very clever DT :-)

Sketch Challenge using Bloom and Grow for Inspire. Create. Challenges

Hello!
And welcome to this weeks Inspire. Create Challenge post. Can you believe we are on challenge #47?!
This week we have this wonderfully versatile sketch to work with...
And I knew I wanted to make a stamped and coloured wreath with some of the gorgeous flowers from the Bloom and Grow bundle! What a great set this is, especially if you love colouring :-)
Once I'd coloured the flowers this sentiment just seemed perfect for the image, especially as we are heading straight into wedding season, right?
I layered the floral image onto Purple Posy card then heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto vellum, wrapping it behind the main panel to hide the glue. Finishing with a few sequins.
I am seriously loving colouring with my Blends right now, possibly helped by treating myself to a few new colours recently ;-)
What are you going to make for this challenge? Head to the challenge blog to check out the inspiration from the rest of the DT. It's a really great sketch and we've all made very different cards...

Inspire. Create challenge #45: Embossing

Hello and welcome to another week with Inspire. Create Challenges :-)
This week the theme is embossing. Now, you can use either dry embossing (folders) or heat embossing so using ink and embossing powder, or both, for this challenge. We would just like to see your makes with any kind of embossing!
As I'm sure you have noticed  I love to heat emboss so this was a no brainer for me.
I wanted to use the Free As A Bird set in class this week so this is one of the card we made there too...
I started with a watercolour wash on shimmer card and added a splatter of both same colour ink and some white shimmer paint.
We then added the leaves and flowers, made by stamping both and then watercolouring using the stamped images and a little extra of the same colour ink. This gives this loose washed look to the images.
TIP: Be careful not to over work the images as they'll lose their definition.
And yes, we fussy (hand) cut all these leaves and flowers but it didn't take toooo long... and the end result was worth it, don't you think? ;-)

I wanted a crisper image for the bird so I stamped in Memento ink and heat embossed it with clear powder so it was waterproof for watercolouring. While it's not absolutely necessary to heat emboss I prefer to when I want to work with a looser wash of ink, like here.
So, that's all from me for today, to see lots more "embossing" inspiration and to add your own make head over to the challenge blog HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'll be back soon with more, 'till then, happy stamping :-)

Bubble Over for an Inspire. Create Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to this fortnights challenge with Inspire. Create and this week we have a really lovely colour challenge to share with you.
I decided to use this soon to be retiring set Bubble Over. I will be keeping this in my stash, for sure! Let's see the card...
I added Poppy Parade to the bottles with a sponge dauber after I'd already inked them with the Pumpkin Pie. I then die cut them and added them over some stamped bubbles, one flat and the other with dimensionals.
I added little toppers to the bottle fronts with dimensionals.
TIP 1: Roll the small punched images in the (same colour) ink pad so you don't have the white card core showing.
I added a sentiment stamped onto vellum which
TIP 2: I heat embossed with clear powder to ensure it wouldn't smudge.
Add a few enamel shapes and that's it done!
We'd love if you joined in with this colour challenge and for loads more inspo please do head over and see what the rest of the DT have made HERE
Thanks so much for looking today :-)
