Birthday cake anyone?

Good Morning,
I have scheduled this post as this morning I have a lovely class of ladies starting at 10am. If you would like to come to next month please email me for directions or information,
But, right now, onto today's card. This was made for one of my SU! side lines birthdays, otherwise known as SU! sisters ;-)
Colours used were Choc Chip, Regal Rose and a touch of Pumpkin Pie in the DSP. I still adore this retired paper pack, Sweet Always. I almost don't want to use it up. Well, I did say almost!
The lovely cake is from the level 2 set from the current mini catalogue called All for Friends, if you would like to know how you can earn it for FREE then again, please contact me for details,
sarah-janerae@sky.com
I coloured the cake using my ink pads and blender pens but I also think it would be fab paper pieced,

I stamped the cherry from On a Pedestal using Versamark all over the "window"
Circle punched out using the 1+3/4" punch, and I also used the scallop edge punch along the bottom, jazzed up with a white gel pen.
Super soft Choc Chip satin ribbon tied around this layer finishes the outside, well, I mean... what's a card without ribbon eh??

And finally a little finishing inside. Sentiments inside and on the front are both from SAB sets and are no longer available unfortunately. They were inked using Marker Pens, great for two colours (or more) on 1 stamp, the same with the candle which is also from On a Pedestal.

Don't forget my special offer on until the end of July, please see top post for details.
Well, that's all for today, I have another graduation card to share with you tomorrow but for now, thanks for visiting and have a lovely rest of your day,
Stampin' Hugs,

Happy Birthday Nicky x

O.K., so I know I said I was gonna show you Mandi's card but as today is actually Nicky's birthday I thought I would go with this instead, I will however share Mandi's card tomorrow :-)
I love this colour combo, Choc chip with Pretty in Pink and a touch of So Saffron, yummy!
Paper is from the Sweet Pea stack, only available 'till Sept 30th and choc full of yummy papers it is too,

Stamp set is True Friend, a set I haven't had for very long, but I really love the sentiment with it, it is very heartfelt. And I tied a luscious bow along the side with super soft Choc Chip satin ribbon and added a little brad from the hodgepodge hardware tin,
And a quick look at the inside,

Well, off now to a 9 year olds birthday tea after being out most of the day with the girls for Nicky's day, I'm gonna need an early night I think!
Bye for now sending you all stampin' hugs

New Bird Punch

Good Afternoon to you all,
I hope you are all enjoying the glorious sunshine??
I have another card we made at Saturdays class to share with you today, and as you can probably guess from the title it uses the lovely New bird punch which is in the mini catalogue. It's a fantastic new space saving design which folds flat for storage, V. clever, but with the same punching capabilities as the normal punches.
Card base is Ruby Red which I scored at 1/2" intervals (to resemble wooden boards??),
house is Kraft card stamped with the lovely vine from Vintage Vogue (mini p, 14) with Versamark, the roof is Sweet Pea DSP (mini p, 13), I hope you can see that we sprayed the house with white shimmer paint (Mini p, 21) (mixed with alcohol,) to make it all sparkly. Bird (mini p,6) was punched from the same paper with the bird turned round to show her stripey side,
Tiny tags (min p,6&15) used again in Ruby Red ink, tied onto yummy Choc Chip Satin Ribbon (min p, 11) with linen thread and topped with stitched felt circle (min p,13).
here is the arty angle, we raised the house up with plenty of foam pads for dimension,
I hope you like this one, I will be back tomorrow with a very different way with the bird punch and some more lovely shimmer ;-)
Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
