Using Helping Me Grow by Stampin' Up! for a Pretty, Purple Flower

Hello
and welcome to todays card! I have a pretty card to share with you today. I stamped and heat embossed this flower from the new Helping Me Grow stamp set onto thick white card for easy colouring. Then I used a waterbrush and my ink pads {shown in this video using the Boys Will Be Boys stamps} to colour it in, take a look...
Such a pretty flower to colour in
For the sentiment I stamped onto Vellum and heat embossed it in silver before tearing it and securing it behind the image.
A nice flat card for posting but still with a bit of the 'ole Wow! factor, don't you think?
And a top view to finish today
Right, that's all from me for today,
Last day to use this code when you shop with me in January.
I'll be back soon with another card, 'till then

Mint and Slate Watercoloured Birthday Blooms by Stampin' Up!

Hello,
Thanks so much for all your kind comments both here and on social media, about my VW Beetle Shaker Card I shared with you on Thursday, in case you missed it you can find it HERE :-)
So, today I have another watercoloured card using Birthday Blooms to share with you. I love this flower for colouring in and have made many, many cards using it. Lets see todays card shall we?
I heat embossed the large flower on watercolour paper and coloured it in using an aqua painter and ink pads in Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate to match this mint paper from the Birthday Bouquet DSP pack. This is my absolute favourite way to stamp and colour this flower!
More sparkly ribbon, which is great for bow tying!
a side view showing how the panels are all popped up on dimensionals
and finallyI finished with a sprinkling of perfect accents.
Well, that's all for today, I'll be back tomorrow with another card.
'till then here's January's hostess code :-)

How to Make a "Love Bug" Shaker Card Without Dies using Beautiful Ride by Stampin' Up! FREE Video Tutorial

Hello!
Todays card has come about as a bit of a surprise for me! I was making a few cards ready for February's blog posts and this was one had I planned on posting near to Valentine's day but, it came out so much better than even I thought it would and I figured it would also make a fab video too, so here we are!
So, I started out with the new Beautiful Ride stamp set and the Love Blossoms DSP stack and thought it would look fab as a shaker card!
*To see a little sneaky "shaker action" hop over to my Instagram Channel for a short video*
But, as it doesn't have dies to match the stamps, I had to improvise a little and this was the first design I came up with for my "Love Bug" card...
And this is the card I made in the video. I changed the sentiment and papers (they are both still from the same stamps and paper stack though) as I thought this would make a lovely wedding card.
So, are you wondering how I made this shaker card without dies?
I have quite a few top tips in this video so I hope you like it...
And one final photo of both cards together :-)
Well, I do love a shaker card, as you might have guessed if you've visited here before, but I was soooo happy with how these came out, what do you think?
I do wish you were here to see them in real life and give them a little shake! But failing that, I really hope you have a go at making your own ;-)
Last few days to use this months code for a freebie from me.
Thanks so much for looking today,
