Tasty Trucks Shaker Card without dies!

Hello!
I've a new take on a previous card for you today. Last year I made a fun shaker card (I still love a good shaker!) without the use of dies. Granted, it's slightly quicker if you have dies but if you have a great stamp set that doesn't come with them you can still make a shaker, see....

These are a few of my favourite things!

Hello and welcome to today's post and today is a Jems Blog Hop day, yay!
This month we are each choosing our favourite project(s) or product(s) from 2016 and there's tons of fabulous inspiration from my Jems team mates along the way.

So, as the title suggests today I had a blast looking back over my projects from this year and picking three that I loved making in 2016, although picking just three was sooooooo hard for me! I have had such fun with so many fabulous stamp set this year! Anyway, I did manage to narrow it down and the first one I chose was my Ombre Effect with Floral Thinlits overlay.

And I do love this little cactus from Birthday Fiesta, it was such fun giving him a personality with googly eyes and I even made him a sombrero using the dies in the set!

 And finally, I really loved this VW Beetle stamp set from way back in January! Sadly this stamp set is retired now but watch this space as I have plans for recreating this card with a new stamp set coming in January ;-)

Day One of Four Days using Mixed Drinks Stamps by Stampin' Up! - A Beer Jug No Die Shaker Card

Hello!
And welcome to today's card which is the start of a new mini series I'll be sharing over the next four days using the very versatile Mixed Drinks stamp set.

So, when I designed these cards I decided to use limited supplies. That means that all the cards over the next four days can be made using the fabulous Mixed Drinks stamps, the new in colours ink pads and the fabulous DSP pad Serene Scenery plus a few essentials that you probably have in your stash....
So, here's day one and I made another shaker card without dies* using the beer jug from the stamp set...

I chose this grass scenery background from the pad for this card as I thought it looked a bit 'grain-y' and reminded me of making beer - if you know what I mean ;-)

 And some thick vanilla twine around the bottom adds to the natural theme of this card.

How to Make a "Love Bug" Shaker Card Without Dies using Beautiful Ride by Stampin' Up! FREE Video Tutorial

Hello!

Todays card has come about as a bit of a surprise for me! I was making a few cards ready for February's blog posts and this was one had I planned on posting near to Valentine's day but, it came out so much better than even I thought it would and I figured it would also make a fab video too, so here we are! 

So, I started out with the new Beautiful Ride stamp set and the Love Blossoms DSP stack and thought it would look fab as a shaker card!

But, as it doesn't have dies to match the stamps, I had to improvise a little and this was the first design I came up with for my "Love Bug" card...

And this is the card I made in the video. I changed the sentiment and papers (they are both still from the same stamps and paper stack though) as I thought this would make a lovely wedding card.

 So, are you wondering how I made this shaker card without dies?
I have quite a few top tips in this video so I hope you like it...

 Well, I do love a shaker card, as you might have guessed if you've visited here before, but I was soooo happy with how these came out, what do you think?
