Oh Happy Day Card Kit by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
Today I want to talk about card kits! And in particular the new "Oh Happy Day" card kit in the catalogue. It can be found on page 6 and 7 of the CATALOGUE and, like all the SU! kits,  it's a great way to get your craft on with minimal supplies, in fact everything you need is included in this kit except your adhesive. You could even take this little beauty on holiday ;-)
We got to have a little play with a card from the kit at Telford (we had a lot of special treats there didn't we? BTW if you join SU! you have the chance to join in this November) and I made this cute heart fold over card with the make and take kit there...
I added the die cut flowers with dimensionals
 Cute huh?
 And it opens like so
And look at all these lovely samples using supplies from the kit...
So, if you fancy getting a few friends together then I am happy to come to you or have you here and share these lovely kits with you, they are an instant party in a box!
Or of course, maybe for those further away or if you just want something fun and easy to make, you can just order your own (or a few) from my shop and have some crafty fun at your leisure. Whichever option suits you I hope you have a play with some of the lovely kits in the new catalogue :-)
To arrange a private class with me (min 6 people) then please do drop me a line.
Thanks for looking today, back tomorrow with a new project.
'Till then, hugs,

Stampin' Up! Flirty Flamingo Colour Combo with the You're Sublime Caravan

Hello and Happy Saturday!
I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the weekend?
So today I have a cute Flirty Flamingo based colour combo for you :-) I have teamed this yummy colour with Wisteria, Slate and Mint, I loved these colours together!
And this is the card I made using the little caravan from You're Sublime! I have this set in clear mount and yes, I have cut the sentiment off this image for easy stamping! It's OK though, I can simply line it up on my clear block to stamp it together when I want to ;-)
This new ruffled ribbon ties a super cute bow!
And a little subtle watercolouring. I used watercolour paper with SU! Basic Black ink for this image finished of course, with some clear wink of stella highlights!
So, do you love Flirty Flamingo as much as I do?
Well that's all for today, I'll be back tomorrow with another card!
I am off to my craft room for later as I'm not at work tonight, Yay!!
Enjoy your weekend and I hope you get chance to stamp! : -)

Using NEW Birthday Fiesta Stamps and Dies by Stampin' Up! With A FREE Mini Sombrero Tutorial!

Hello there,
So, have you ordered yet from the NEW Catalogue?? My first order arrived yesterday and despite having been up extremely early yesterday morning, I just had to have  play last night! And the first set I chose was the Birthday Fiesta. I love, love, love this set!! And it comes with matching framelits too, bonus :-))))
Here's my first make (I bumped the post that I was going to do today to show this instead, I was sooo excited to share!). I stamped and die cut this cute little cactus and showed my hubby, he suggested giving it a sombrero hat and eyes and this is the end result...
These googly eyes are from a few years back, SU! carried them for halloween, they are perfect don't you think?
So, heres how to make that cute little Sombrero.
Die cut from Sahara Sand card a mini triangle and a strip of the bunting, both dies in the matching set. Then trim the top from the triangle. Glue together and stamp using markers and the little scalloped bunting stamp in the set.
TIP: I found making it perfectly round at the top tricky, with it being so small, so I used my nail file to round it out after cutting!
The colours used were Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Real Red
 The popped up cactus.
Remember, you can choose two FREE stamp sets (of any value) when you join SU! in June ;-)
 And one last pic today!
So, what do you think? Do let me know in the comments :-)

Silver Promotion Card using Birthday Blooms by SU! for a Monochrome Look

Hello there,
I have a card today that I made for my lovely downline Angel for promoting to Silver with Stampin' Up! I am so proud for her for achieving this goal and this is the card I made for her in a monochrome silver colourway, of course! Have a peek...
I stamped this lovely flower from Birthday Blooms using versamark and heat embossed it in, yes, you guessed it, silver! Then coloured it in using an aqua painter and my Smoky Slate ink pad.
I love how this changed this image completely from vintage and shabby chic to classy and elegant.
I used some of the silver glitter tape from SaB down the side (but you could swap it out for glimmer paper if you don't have this) and topped it with a silver sequin strip.
Wouldn't this make a fab silver wedding card too?
Angela chose a PL album and pages for her promotion gift and I wrapped it to match
with some of every silver ribbon I had ;-)
OK, I'm going to finish today with one last picture of the card. I really hope you liked this? It's one of my faves ;-)
Just to let you know I'm closing this months hostess code on Saturday evening so if you'd like bonus gift in the post from me in May then please use the code below with your order before then :-)
Thanks for looking today.
