Video Tutorial: How You Can "Step Up" Any Card, Easily! Using Stampin' Up! Products

Hello,
Two posts in one day! Get me ;-) If you missed the first post you can hop OVER HERE.
But for this second post I have a video tutorial for you. This tutorial was inspired by one of my ladies
who comes to class, she was saying last week that she (shock, horror) goes out and buys cards for her family! I know, right! Anyway, she said when it was a family members birthday she was wanting something a bit special and so I shared with her how to take a "Standard" size card, ie: half A4 or half 8"x11"-ish sized and make it "Special".
So, lets take a look...
And here are a few more pictures of the cards, as promised on my video :-)
The first card, using Boys Will Be Boys Stamps. See the original card HERE
Next card steps up a Giggle Greetings card. See the original card HERE
And finally this card uses Barnyard Babies.  See the original card HERE
So, that's all from me for this evening. I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and helps you to adapt your cards to be suitable for more occasions? Do let me know!

Using Giggle Greetings by Stampin' Up! for a Man's Card.

Hello there,
Today's post is a card we made at class using Giggle Greetings. I hadn't used this  set in quite a while and isn't that a shame?. We made this card, which is perfect for those tricky fellas, in a neutral Crumb Cake, Hello Honey and Navy colourway, what do you think....
The image was stamped using staz on onto watercolour paper and then coloured in with blender pens and ink pads. Lastly we added a navy part circle to the bottom for contrast.
A simple strip of card and a knot of (retired) thick twine decorate the bottom of the card
This front panel and image circle is popped up on dimensionals.
All supplies are listed at the end of this post :-)
and one final picture to finish today
OK, that's all from me for today, I have had a very busy morning with still a few things to do this afternoon! Hopefully I might get a chance to make something soon though ;-)
Thanks, as ever, for looking today

Last Day (4) of Giggle Greetings

Hello,
This morning I have the first of my Kick Start Christmas classes but I just wanted to pop on here and share the last of my Giggle Greetings class cards with you. Today's card uses the cute dog image.
I used a colour combo of Crumb Cake and Tempting Turquoise and I think the turquoise really lifts this card turning it from very neutral to bright and cheery, just like the sentiment ;-)
We stamped in Basic Grey and used Ink Pads and blender pens on watercolour paper...
and the Chevron Embossing folder was used with some of the yummy Burlap Ribbon
And here is the whole class together, if you want to see the other cards in closer detail please scroll down or click on the Giggle Greetings label at the bottom of this post :-)
OK, I'm off for now
Back tomorrow with the first of the cards from this weeks class,
'till then thanks for stopping by!

Day 3 of 4 with Giggle Greetings

OK, so today I have the third in my set of four cards we made using the Giggle Greetings stamp set last week.
Things have been really busy here with hubs working away this week, DS 1 working/studying late, plus all the usual goings on with the other children and of course I have been busy prepping for my All Day Class too, I will be editing the pics asap so sharing the cards here next week hopefully ;-)
Anyway, all that means that this is going to be short and (I hope) sweet post today...
I used yummy Silver Ribbon and the Cloudy Day embossing folder, which I didn't realise 'till today is retired, oops! It is, as I type, still available on the Clearance Rack for just £4.49! Check out the Clearance Rack HERE but please remember once it's gone, it's gone for good! ;-) The blue card is the yummy new colour Soft Sky teamed with Cherry Cobbler accents, it's a very summery feeling colour combo this, especially as it's grey and not that nice here!
As with the other cards (if you want to see all of them click on the 'Giggle Greetings' label at the end of this post) I stamped in Basic Grey and coloured in with blender pens and ink pads, I found with this image that less (ink) was definitely more..
and an arty angle showing plenty of depth to this card to finish this post off for you today!
Right, that dreaded housework is a callin' Yay for me!

Giggle Greetings by SU! (2 of 4)

Hello again,
Today's card is the second in my Giggle Greetings class and again uses the same idea of a simple embossed background paired with the layered image. For this card we used the Honeycomb Background Folder and in a colour combo of Pistachio Pudding with a touch of Soft Sky. That's the Ticket sentiment was used with it's matching Ticket Duo Punch and was added to the Linen Thread to complete this card...
The same as yesterdays card we stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured in using blender pens and ink pads
and an side view to finish for today
 Thanks for stopping by today,

Giggle Greetings Cat Card (1 of 4)

Hi there,
Last week I ran my Giggle Greetings class and I want to share with you today the first of the set of 4 cards we made.
I went with a Pink Pirouette and Smoky Slate colour combo for this card and used the new Stylish Stripes embossing folder from the Autumn/Winter catty..
We stamped onto watercolour paper with SU! basic grey ink (it's waterproof and gives a much less harsh look than black can) then we used ink pads and blender pens to colour in the images, I love this sentiment, so funny! ;-)
and we added plenty of dimensionals and added some yummy Blushing Bride chevron ribbon across the bottom, the brad is a retired one from last summer
OK, back tomorrow with the "cheese" image from the set ;-)
Thanks for stopping by today,
