Weather Together in Dapper Denim

Hello and welcome to another Inspire. Create. Challenge :-)

This week the theme is Retiring Colours and I was spoilt for choice! I am going to miss all of these colours.. And I've made this card just as the sun comes out in the UK, using Weather Together! Bit of a fail, right? Anyway, hopefully the card will banish some of that rain we have been having for a little while at least?!

 I kept with the monochrome look with just a Soft Sky baby wiped swipe background on shimmer white card.

 I added a few of the Epoxy Shapes for some 3d raindrops.

 Adding the brolly with dimensionals just gives this card a little lift!

Say Hello To Emerald Envy, New Stampin' Up! In Colour 2016/18

Hello there,

So, all this week I have been sharing with you the upcoming In Colours by SU! using this Watercoloured Butterflies technique. I really hope you have enjoyed these new colours -which are launching on the 1st June- so far? 

Well, today it's the turn of Emerald Envy to take the centre stage! So, when I first saw this colour it was probably my least favourite of the new colours as I thought it was a bit bright for me however, when used in small doses like here it's pretty cute. I've teamed it here with Night of Navy and Gold for a look that is very classy and so on trend right now, see... 

 Sequins and gold thread. I am also looking forward to getting the new copper coloured thread, I think that'll work lovely with this combo too.

I used a few dimensionals to pop this panel

and a top view to finish.

Saturday Sharing: Video Tutorial For Easy Watercoloured Butterflies And The New Dapper Denim In Colour by SU!

Hello!

Today I have a new little Saturday sharing video for you (further down this post) showing how I made these easy watercoloured butterflies that you have been seeing here all this week!

But first I have a new card using another new In Colour - Dapper Denim. I have teamed this with Melon Mambo for a really striking CAS card, take a look...

I used new Melon Mambo thick twine for antennae. 

Notice the coloured areas are actually butterflies too?

Let me share with you how to make these cute butterflies and also all the other In Colours...

This sentiment is from Party With Cake. I do love a good typewriter font ;-)

Love this In Colour, it reminds me a little of Not Quite Navy from a few years back...

Welcome to Peekaboo Peach. New In Colour by SU! for 2016/18

Hello there, 

Following on from yesterday's post I want to continue to share with you the upcoming In Colours and today it's the turn of Peekaboo Peach to take the spotlight.
I did a really pale wash of this colour on this trio of butterflies to make this card...

and added a little coat of glitter using my Wink of Stella pen to the middle butterfly after watercolouring.
 I have made a super quick video sharing this easy and fun technique that should be ready tomorrow, so watch this space :-)

This sentiment is stamped in Peekaboo Peach too and you can see it's quite a bit darker than the washed colour on these butterflies.

Again, I only glued the centres of the butterflies

And a top view to finish today.

So, what do you think? I personally love this colour and think it will be another 'go to' one for  me, you should probably expect to see it a lot on here ;-)
