Flowering Desert with a Video Tutorial to "Extend Your Stitched Rectangle Dies."

Hello there,
I do hope you've had a wonderful bank holiday weekend? And what wonderful weather we had in the UK! I'm loving being able to sit outside ;-)
Anyway, I actually have my last promised video (I mentioned it HERE) to share with you how to extend the length of your stitched rectangle dies today! I know, I've been really rubbish about videos lately but this was so quick to make and took very little editing (read: I didn't mess it up as I made it!) so here we are.
I'll start with the card first. I used the Flowering Desert stamp set to make this card as I needed to repeat my steps for the video. I really love this stamp set and I'm sorry it's hit the retiring list :-(
Although I'm really grateful these dies are staying because I've used them a ton already!
So, let's have a look at this video, shall we?
I've kept the rest of the card fairly simple and for some reason the writing hasn't shown up too well in this picture, it's the stamp in the corner you can just see- "be your own kind of beautiful"
And here's an image to "PIN" so you can find it again easily!
So, that's it for today.
I will be back with another make tomorrow but 'till then, happy stamping :-)

Trick or Tweet! No Line Watercolouring Halloween Card.

Hello! Long time, no blog! :-(
I have so many cards to share with you at the moment but I'm currently working almost every night until 3am so I have been really struggling to get much of anything crafty done past the essentials (magazine commissions (which I can't share here yet ;-)) card classes, Halloween treats etc) however I did manage a bit of editing last night and so I have this cute card to share with you today!
I tried my hand at a bit of no line watercoluring and some masking too a few weeks back using the Trick Or Tweet stamp set and here is the result...
I started by stamping Scrappy Doo here (it looks just like him, right?) on shimmery white card with my Sahara Sand ink pad. Watercoloured with more ink pads and aqua painters then drying before covering him with some masking fluid to add in the background. I love how he turned out!
These little skulls and stars (/snowflakes, maybe?) in the background are from the hostess set Warm Hearted, which is packed with seasonal sentiments as well as cute little images like this!
I used Versamark to stamp these on a Rich Razzleberry card layer to create a subtle background.
I added in a few (retired) enamel shapes and a white embossed sentiment, all layered onto a black card base to finish.
OK, so I'm off to work this morning but I do hope to get another post done for you asap! Have a great, crafty weekend :-) and thanks so much for looking today, I miss sharing with you here!

Rainbow of Hearts using Little Elephant

Hello!
Todays make is another fun rainbow card. I used the super cute heart shaped hearts from the Little Elephant stamp set, see...
 Colours used were:
Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Lemon-Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point and Highland Heather.
I just grabbed a selection of ink pads that looked like they would coordinate well together, choosing more pastel colours rather than the primary that I used HERE.
Layered onto a Lemon-Lime Twist layer and finish with sequins (of course) and  a sentiment!
So, I hope you liked todays make? I'll be back tomorrow with another, hope to see you then!

Colour Challenge with Tropical Chic for Inspire. Create Challenges.

Hello!
And welcome to another challenge with Inspire. Create. Challenges.
It's a super summery colour combo this week with Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Lemon Lime Twist. It reminds me of the Caribbean and cocktails in coconuts... *dreams*
So for this colour challenge I really took the bull bull by the horns and fully embraced these colours so my card is super vibrant which is different for me, I know, but I kinda like it ;-)
Lets see the card shall we, I used Tropical Chic which I must admit I'm finding it really hard to put this set down right now! I just want to use it for everything...
Love this little die that gives you a leafy window.
TIP: To make the Lemon Lime Twist layer show under the Bermuda Bay top layer simply turn by a quarter.
I added some stamped, tiny leaves at the bottom of the card front before adding the sentiment strip.
TIP: Use versamark on any coloured card (not white or vanilla) for a subtle look. You don't have to have every ink pad colour {right away} ;-)
Finish with a Melon Mambo leaf and a few clear sequins (from my stash)
What a fun colour combo. You can see what the rest of the DT have made HERE on the challenge blog which is where you can also upload your creations too! Please do join us in this fun challenge, we'd love to see what you create with it!
Thanks so much for looking today!
