Banner Punch with Retro Fresh Invite

Hello there,
I have been out for a bit today with hubby and my youngest Zack. We had a wander around the antiques hall in Bournemouth but unfortunately (possibly not for hubs) we didn't find any "must haves" there so it was just a look today ;-)
My finger is still hurting ad I think I'm going to be suffering for a while longer which is actually a right pain (ha ha) because, as is always the way, I'm feeling really creative right now! There is so much I want to be getting on with....
Anyway, there isn't much I can do but wait it out so today I have some invites I made a while ago for a friend of hubby's at his work. they were after a vintage feel and so I used Retro fresh DSP and the Banner Punch that was available during Sale-a-Bration- but don't worry if you didn't get one because they will be for sale in the new catalogue coming 1st July. Why not consider joining my Stampers Club for a FREE copy of the new catalogue as well as hostess goodies, you can message me for more details or click on the link above.
OK, Back to the invites. I printed the wording straight onto Crumb Cake card and added them to a Tangerine Tango layer and then another piece of Crumb Cake. The finished invites were A5 size (14.8cm x 21cm or 5.83" x 8.27")
Once I had punched all the papers out I curled them up using my Bone Folder. I lined up the centre banner and spaced out the rest either side before glueing them down with Tombow (the best glue ever!) I then made a template to make sure they were all exactly the same on each invite. OCD much? Moi? ;-)
and then just because I could I stamped the envelopes with the (now retired) SAB set Banner Blast, a new banner stamp set will be available to purchase to match the punch in the new catalogue though, rest assured.
OK, that's me done for today, I'm off to try to rope one of the children to put the kettle on and make me a cuppa, wish me luck with that!
Thanks for looking today,

Turn the Twisty Treats kit into cards!

Hi there,
Todays cards are made with the Twisty Treats kit that is FREE with Sale-a-Bration- but remember it's only running 'till the end of this month! :-)
I have had this kit (un-opened) for a little while and so pulled it out the other day to have a look through. I love the pretty patterned cello bags and I was thinking I will probably use them this Easter? Anyway I figured I would have a play with the tags and twists in the kit and the "Big Wish" stamp set was out so I came up with these two cards...
I used the Note Cards (from page 162 of the Annual Catalogue) as the base for these cards adding the sentiment inked with markers from Big Wish before I die cut it out using the Chalk Talk Framelits. No, you aren't mistaken, there isn't a die this size in there, I had to make it shorter by running it through twice ;-)
These strips are wired and would twist for sealing the bags but I adhered them to the card with red line tape; folding some for extra "jujsh" (<< not sure how to spell this made up word!)
and last for this card some Island Indigo chevron ribbon and a touch of twine decorates the top of the tag.
Second card, more twisty strips and I made a banner from the tag this time, love the glitter hearty stickers that come in the pack too :-)
and another sentiment from Big Wish on this tag topped with ruffled ribbon.
I inked the sentiment with my markers but notice I did the "present" word half with Smoky Slate and Tangerine Tango for this two toned look. Yes, I meant to do it :-P
OK, that's me done for today, I'll be back soon with more.
Thanks for visiting today :-)))
*Don't forget Sale-a-Bration is still running, earn FREE goodies with every £45 spent!*

A Sale-a-Bration overload!

Hello there,
No, there really is no such thing as a Sale-a-Bration overload, I agree! My title simply means that I have used ALL Sale-a-Bration goodies on this card today, so it's really a card you can make for FREE! Just add ink and card... oh and a sewing machine too ;-) It was also a really hard card to get a good picture of and trust me when I say that it's actually much prettier IRL, it's a really elegant little card this one.
Want to see?? Cool!
I used a colour combo of Rose Red, Basic Grey, Pistachio Pudding and Smoky Slate for this card.
To achieve this look I drew very faint pencil lines at a diagonal on white card, masked the sides using post it notes and stamped the flowers using the FREE Petal Parade stamp set... I so have not used this set enough yet! And right now my craft room is like a tornado went through the centre of it as I "organise" it all! ;-)
Anyway, after I stamped and erased any pencil lines that were visible I added a layer of Vellum card by sewing round all the edges then along the "lines" I made with my masking, hope that makes sense??
adding these little stamped banners made using the FREE Banner Blast stamp set and (also FREE) matching punch, just adjusting the stitch for along the banners...
OK, I have been in town all day today as my car has been playing up as I mentioned yesterday so I better get cracking with tea before I go to work, so unfortunately no crafting for me tonight :-(
I hope you get  a chance to inky soon,
Stampin' hugs from me for today,
