Colur Coach Blog Hop! Teacher Cards and more

Good Morning to you!
Well, if you have just stumbled onto my blog then Welcome! Today is a special day and I am very excited to be sharing my Colour Coach Projects with you all :-D
A small note before you start, I have a lot of pictures for you today, I have made them small for this post but you should be able to click on them to make them much bigger. So grab a cuppa (if you haven't got one already) and I hope you enjoy today's projects!

This blog hop today has been split into two rounds, so hopefully you will have come to me from Glittermum (Niki), thanks Niki :-)
Round two starts with Emily, I will also give you the link to round two again later ;-)

So, I have chosen the colour combos that are shown to go with Regal Rose, and combination number one teams it with Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight, yummy!

I decided to make a card many of us will be needing in the next few weeks! One for a teacher :-)
I used Every Little Bit for the cute bus and the flower background with Curly Cute for the sentiment.
I coloured the bus with ink pads and a blender pens adding Crystal Effects to the 'windows', finishing it off with some scrummy satin ribbon and a rhinestone.

And a Sticky Note Holder to match with Number One die cut shapes on the back for your #1 teacher! :-D

O.K. onto combo number 2 and the colour coach shows Tempting Turquoise and Sahara Sand,

and for this combo I have made a special card with a gift box to match using the Level 1 hostess set A Slice of Life with the organza ribbon to finish,
Itty Bitty punches were used to create the background
and the matching box, I am working on a tutorial for this :-D
Well, I hope you like my projects today, your next stop today on round one is going to be Jane, I might even see you over there ;-)
**Edit to say** hop continues after Jane to HERE with Linz :-)
And as promised round two starts HERE with Emily.
Thanks again for visiting today,

Sweet Sketch Sunday :-)

Hello there,
Well, another busy morning here, my car had it's mot today and so I met hubby in town for a coffee while we waited, how very grown up!!
Anyway, I have a card to share with you today, I started with this weeks Sweet Sketch Sunday sketch, and I know I will come back to this one again and again, I already have another card in mind for it ;-)
But here is the first one to begin with,
I used the level 1 hostess set 'A Slice of Life' from the mini catalogue as my main image with the swirl from 'Strength and Hope', ((don't forget to reserve your space now for my charity class using this gorgeous stamp set))
I used some more of the yummy poly twill ribbon to match the base card colour of Blushing Bride, the heart is again from A Slice of Life, why not take advantage of this months offer to get your very own set??
I added a dash of Dazzling Diamonds to the centres of the flowers for a little extra sparkle
and a bit of decoration on the inside to finish,
So, that's todays card for you, be sure to pop back tomorrow for this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenge card,
Thanks for stopping by today,

Birthday Boy

Hello there!
Wow! What a lot of people visited yesterday! I am so happy to have you visit me here :-D
I am again a little late posting today as I have had Zoe poorly and up 4 times in the night last night! But she seems to be O.K. at the moment, fingers crossed. Normally it would be fine as I am at home during the day and we could just hang out... but DH is off today and I was really hoping for lunch out, or at the very least a coffee out somewhere! kids huh? perfect timing ;-) he he!
Anyway, onto today's card, I am in love with the New level 1 hostess set from the mini catalogue A Slice of Life, it has such cute images included and I wanted to have a little play with the birthday cake and candles...
in fact as I look at this it is very similar to this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenges sketch this week, hop over and take a look ;-)
you can see here I added Crystal Effects to some of the layers and spots after I had coloured the cake using just about all the blue ink pads I have and a blender pen,
I ruffled the Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon by pulling a thread from the centre and this sentiment is from the Level 2 set Something to Celebrate, also from the new mini catty, I inked it using my markers to get the cute two tone effect. For a great deal when ordering during June and July go HERE
DSP is Certainly Celery from the Subtles paper stack,
And finally I did a little stamping on the inside to finish it off but I think I may add a white layer in here too...
O.K. that's it from me today, thanks as ever for dropping by today, I hope you have enjoyed today's card and I will be back tomorrow with more crafty goodness,

Simply Stampin, Week 9, A Sketch

Good Morning!
I am so happy it's the weekend!! and here's to the sun shining too ;-)
So, onto this weeks challenge card, I am thrilled we had so many entries last week, well done to all who entered, there were some gorgeous creations for the Flower Frenzy Challenge, thank-you if you took the time to enter :-)
Anyway, onto this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenge and it's my favourite sort of challenge too, a sketch
And you know sometimes you are just really pleased with how a card turns out, well this is one of those times! O.K. so I have jigged this around a touch to make Z folding card, but it just felt right,
I love this colour combo, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist and Pretty in Pink too, Another reason I am particularly happy with this card is because it should be called my blog card... a card and a cuppa!!
this adorable image is again from the Level 1 hostess stamp set that the vase came from for this weeks LIM challenge, it's called A Slice of Life, and it could be yours for FREE, ask me how ;-) I coloured it with blender pens and ink pads with the froth on the Hot Choc (?) coloured with White Shimmer Paint,
Yummy Marina Mist satin ribbon,
and one final pic which I think shows the sketch shape a touch better,
Don't forget to visit the rest of the DT to see what they have come up with, and finally if you get 5 mins we would love it if you entered too :-)
Thanks, as ever, for stopping by to see me,
Stampin' Hugs
