Carols Of Christmas Chalkboard, Snowflake and Glitter Card!

Hello there!
I'm back, fresh from Stampin' Up's 'On Stage' event in Birmingham, and I'm brimming with new ideas and a very long wish list for the new year! I can't wait to share it all with you ;-)
Having said that, I still have loads and loads of Christmas makes to share with you including this little beauty that I made for my all day Christmas card class recently using the Carols of Christmas bundle...
At class the ladies made one card with a silver snowflake and one with a gold snowflake, I love both of them :-)
TIP: We cut the snowflake in half, and added a ribbon strip to disguise this, so it peeked out from behind the largest circle framelit needed for this size sentiment.

You have to have glitter at Christmas *amiright* lol
TIP: To get this look die cut the corners from Crumb Cake card layer and adhere it to a Cherry Cobbler card base before filling the gaps with glue from the fine tip glue pen and sprinkling with dazzling diamonds glitter. Leave flat to dry.
And one final view of this card :-)
OK, so that's all from me for today, I'll be back tomorrow with another card :-)
I hope your Monday is great! Thanks for looking today,

Carols Of Christmas Nutcracker Christmas Card

Hello there,
Today's card uses the Carols of Christmas stamp set with the very lovely Christmas Around The World DSP and this super fun Nutcracker paper does all the talking so I've kept the rest of the card quite simple, with just a few accents, see...
I stepped it up with the stitched felt shapes and a (retired) holly charm from last years A/W catalogue.
Of course, I couldn't resist heat embossing the sentiment in gold!
I think those felt shapes are something of a hidden gem in the A/W catty ;-)
Such cute Nutcrackers :-)
I think these stitched edge framelits are my most used dies in the whole catalogue!
Right, that's all from me today, do you have many more Christmas cards to make?
I have a heap of swaps to decide upon and perhaps even make today! I'm hoping to test out my new Stampin' Blends! Eep!!
I hope you get a chance to be crafty today too :-)
Thanks for looking!

Carols Of Christmas With A Modern Twist!

Hi there,
Today's card is in total contrast to yesterday's traditional Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green make, but still uses use the Carols of Christmas stamps! This is such a versatile set and (I think) the ladies at class enjoyed using it in so many different ways :-)
OK, so this card teams this festive set with the Work Of Art stamps! I know, you haven't seen me use that set in a while but it's a really great set, you'll see.....
Here I've used a colour combo of Wisteria Wonder, Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party but this card would work equally well in many other colour combinations too, why not give your favourites a whirl?
I added a black deer with the die cut trees, in keeping with the modern feel.
And some matching coloured, double tree die cuts to decorate inside.
All finished with some (retired) sparkly sequins :-)
So, what did you think? Do you prefer the traditional or non-traditional colours? Let me know in the comments section :-)
I'll be back tomorrow with a new card, 'till then, happy stamping!

Merry Little Labels Stamps and Card Front Builder Dies

Hello there,
I have another card today using the very versatile Carols Of Christmas bundle. For this card I used just the card front builder dies and teamed it with the Merry Little Labels stamp set, which has loads of great sentiments, to make this card...
Can't beat these stitched edge dies, I'd love to see more sizes and designs *hint, hint SU!* ;-)
I used markers to ink this sentiment stamp and then added the die cut shapes around a glimmer paper banner and that deer *heart*
A lovley, easy to post design :-)
So, that's all for today from me. I hope to grab a couple of crafty hours later today as I am painting our bedroom Sunday!
Thanks for looking today :-)

Carols Of Christmas Card - Case Myself!

Hi there!
I have a card for you today using the Carols of Christmas bundle again! This is such a versatile set which would easily see you right through Christmas ;-)
So, this card layout was based on a card I made a few weeks ago for the first ever Inspire. Create. Challenge, you can see it HERE. I liked the layout so much and it would work well with so many different stamp sets...
This is the largest of the stitched edge circles and I didn't want the bulk of an extra layer behind so...
TIP: Roll the circle layer through your ink pad to make it pop from the card front, without adding extra layers.
The leaves have their own die and the flowers can also be die cut out using the corner pieces from the Card Front Builder dies...
TIP: Stamp the flowers then lay the corner die over the image, rotating until it fits in the space, as the flower is not symmetrical! A bit fiddly, but worth it ;-)
Adding some sequins and a thin strip of glimmer paper finishes this card with a little bling!
So, do you like this layout? I'd love to see you make something using it! And when you do why not enter it into the Inspire. Create. Challenge this fortnight which is a (very general) "Festive" themed challenge, perfect!
Thanks for looking today :-)
