Lovely Laura's Special Day

Good Morning to you today!
Friday was my very dear friend Laura's birthday. Now, I only recently met Laura but as soon as we did meet we just clicked and always have such a great time together, she helped me out at Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Fair so you may have met her too?? again though I have Stampin' Up! to thank for knowing this lovely lady, I am truly thankful for the people I can now call friends because of this company! O.K. enough mushy, the card....
I have used Sahara Sand with Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry,
Punched flowers were made with one of the Itty Bitty Bits punches, each finished with a rhinestone
The background was stamped with the "Sweet Friend" stamp from the Hello You set (this can be found tucked away at the back of the catty on page 86) using Sahara Sand Ink. Engraved Greetings was used for the main image (same page in catty) inked with markers,
more of that scrummy FREE ribbon ;-) Don't forget this offer ends tomorrow! contact me NOW to place your order to receive these gorgeous free gifts!
Bow tutorial coming soon...
and a bit more stitching inside to finish
Now, I wanted to make Laura a little something to go with her card and I had a little umming and ahhing but finally decided every crafter one can use pegs, so I covered these to match the card (tutorial for covering pegs is in the Dazzling Dozen tutorial pack)
using the itty bitty punches and rhinestones again
O.K. that's me for today, Zack is off on a sleepover with FIL tonight so I am not sure what I am going to do with the other two?? Better get thinking about it ;-) I have (mostly ;-)) enjoyed these summer holidays and it sure is going to be quiet around here next week!
Thanks for dropping by today,

Hello, You

Hello,
I have what was supposed to be a quick make to show you today, but you know how it is, i just kept adding to it as I thought it needed a little something extra! and then the sewing machine came out and well, this is what I ended up with ;-) I must apologise for my photos today, the colours just aren't very good, I think it is because I took the pics first thing this morning and it was quite grey and dull,
I started with a combo from the Colour Coach but once I had started to make it I realised I had picked up the Certainly Celery DSP instead of Wild Wasabi, I like this combo though with Perfect Plum and So Saffron,
I used my old faithful set Pocket Silhouettes, I haven't used this set an absolutely ages, it's really pretty though, don't you think?
This sentiment is from the same named stamp set, it is tucked away at the back of the main catalogue on page 86 if you fancy a look :-) Here I inked it with the markers to get a two toned effect and punched it with the new Decorative Label punch I also added some 3mm taffeta ribbon with a button to finish,
and a little pic of the inside which I went to town a bit with ;-)
Well that's it for today, don't forget my special offer for June and July, I have very few spare days or evenings left during July so contact me now to make a date for YOUR home workshop or to place an order delivered direct to your door, there are more details HERE, and lastly for today this is the last week or so to reserve your place at my charity card making class more details HERE, this class is also available mail order.

Simply Stampin' Challenges, Week 8, "Floral Frenzy"

Good Morning to you,
And welcome to Week 8 of Simply Stampin' Challenges! I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge, a nice easy one as it is called "Floral Frenzy" So many options with this challenge and we would love to see your take on it. If you have no idea what I am on about then hop over to the challenge blog for more info and to see what the rest of the DT have made to inspire you this week :-D
Now, the first stamp set that came to mind for me was the cute little set "A Flower For All Seasons" and if you have come from the Simply Stampin' blog you will have seen I decided to make a set of 4 cards each using a different stamp from the set.
I die cut, embossed and spritzed with shimmer paint a flower from the  Fun Flowers die to back each coloured and punched image,
If you haven't noticed this set in the catty, it is on page 53 of the main IB&C and at just £12.95 I think it is a little gem! and just perfect for colouring therapy ;-)

I teamed the spring image with daffodil delight card and ribbon with a so saffron button,

Summer is Melon Mambo card with Pretty in Pink ribbon and button,

Autumn is Pumpkin Pie card and Old Olive ribbon with a Cajun Craze button,
And Cherry Cobbler with Basic Black for winter. Sentiment punched using the Modern Label XL punch.
I coloured all the images using ink pads and blender pens. The pens are great for the water coloured look but much more precise for smaller images. The sentiment is from Hello, You tucked away on page 86.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today's project and if you want to see it in person then pop along to Lyndhurst Community Centre on Monday this week, and say Hi too!
Thanks for stopping by today, Stampin' Hugs,

One Layer for LIM

Good Morning,
I'm sure you will have noticed (ha ha ;-)) if you have been here before that I have been doing some tidying up on my lil'  blog this past day or so, I am trying not to have so much going on in the side bar and so it is easier to find what you are looking for... hopefully! I now have pages across the top of my blog with class details, catalogues, info about joining SU! with me and lots more, do go take a look :-)
Anyway, I am really trying hard to make a card to enter into the challenge blog Less is More, it is not a style I make a lot of but I always love the look of other peoples. Also, the lovely Mandi is one of my SU! downlines and great friend.
O.K. so I knew it was a one layer card but I didn't double check so I thought that was it. Doh! it's also embossing! which I clearly haven't done, I have however added crystal effects which sort of looks embossed (I know, it's a stretch!) but as I have made it I am going to pop it on there anyway, feel free to discount it if you feel it doesn't fulfil the requirements.
I was actually really pleased with my effort in the end, I did actually make it 4 times mind, I smudged one, messed up the lines on another, didn't like the colour on one... you get the picture, but it is also another reason I am still entering it, it would be a waste not to! ha ha! right, stop waffling!
Sentiment is from Hello You on page 86 of the main catty, it is easily overlooked tucked in there and I used the Rose Red marker to make the line border,
the cute cocktail is from Cheers to You and I watercoloured it using an aqua painter in Baja Breeze and Rose Red  ink pads, here you can see the Crystal Effects giving the embossed look ;-)
and inside I added some more one layer touches of lines and a sentiment again from Cheers to You,
Well that's today's card, I will not keep you any longer, I have waffled enough at the beginning of this post,
