Smitten Mittens with Year Of Cheer DSP

Hello!
Today's card is a super simple make and again makes the most out of SU! DSP. Today I used the Year Of Cheer papers with the mitten dies from the Smitten Mittens bundle. These papers are really lovely IRL as every sheet is foil embossed. That makes this card quick but sparkly! A perfect combination, I'm sure you'll agree...

I also added a Tinsel Trim knot at the top of the card for the twine to sit around.

I stamped the background using night of navy ink and the matching stamps but the sentiment is from the Hug in a Mug stamp set, how well does that work with these mittens?!

Right, I'm off to Birmingham later today as tomorrow is On Stage, Stampin' Up's bi-annual event for upcoming products! I can't wait, not just for the stamps (of course), but to catch up with all my long distance SU! buddies!

Another "Hug In A Mug" Card

Hello,
As promised, even if a little later than planned, I have the Vanilla version (see the white one HERE) of my "Hug in a Mug" card! I am loving just using the stamps in this set but I would like to try a little no line colouring using this set at some point...
But, first I made this using the new (and long awaited) Thick Vanilla card to make another cas, single layer card...

 I probably should have used this sentiment on yesterday's card as I only stamped one mug of hot chocolate and a cup of tea to this version! Ah well, next time....

 As this card was stamped onto a Vanilla base I kept the colours darker and more Autumnal, using Navy and Cherry Cobbler. I think it would make a great Get Well card or even just a note to say Hello this Autumn. Who would you send this card to and why?

A "Hug In A Mug" Hot Chocolate Card

Hi there,
I hope you are having a great weekend so far? Ours was busy with my FiL being taken ill with a stroke this week, but with the wonders of the marvelous NHS and ever improving medicines means he is home already. He's tired but on the whole a lot better than you might expect!
Anyway, today I have a simple, one layer card for you using the Hug in a Mug stamp set. I have actually made two versions of this, one on white card and one on vanilla, I'll share the vanilla one tomorrow ;-)
So, here's the white with Pool Party version...

 Those little chevrons are a small stamp in the set but as you can see they line up perfectly to make a longer image. The sentiment is also from this set.

 How cute are those candy canes? Christmas is really on it's way now! In fact a packet of mince pies 'fell' into my trolley yesterday!! Ho, ho, ho!

 Right, that's me off to work now so I better get going ;-)
