Simply Stampin' Challenges, Week 7, Colour Challenge

Good morning to you,
Today's Simply Stampin' challenge is a colour one, and, even though I am not normally a yellow kinda gal, I am loving Daffodil Delight, so was thrilled to see it is included with Very vanilla, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.
Now, the card I have made will probably be a 'hand deliver' one as it is soooo deep, it may fit in a box-elope (tutorial in side bar) but I will have to make one and check ;-)
I made the pretty flower using the Stampin' Up! exclusive die Fun Flowers with leaves made with retired ribbon, Old Olive tafetta would work well though.  DSP is Greenhouse Gala, ask me how you can get a pack for free along with 20% off all your SU! crafty purchases!
I sprayed the flower with shimmer paint mixed with alcohol to make a shimmer mist,
the buttons are in very vanilla and old olive, they are also retired but there are new lovely buttons in these colours in the catty now, {I am trying to use up some of my retired products ;-)}
and I used the offcuts to make a little border inside to finish,
Do pop over and see what other wonderful creations the DT have come up with and if you have time then we would love you to join us this week!

I will be back tomorrow with a tutorial on how to make this gorgeous flower! Do come back and see as I have hundreds of photos with a good sprinkling of top tips too!

  3. I think your card is my favourite this week, I love the DSP you've used and it's reminded me that I haven't even opened mine yet, so think that this challenge is the perfect excuse to rectify this!!
    Beautiful flower die cuts!!
