Pink Hearts a Flutter Wedding Card and Box

Hello there,
One of my lovely ladies daughters was getting married recently and so I made this card for her to give to the happy couple :-)
Their colours are Pretty in Pink with White and as Shirley loved the Wedding Card I made a few weeks ago I went with a very similar design, just adding the Mr and Mrs stamp to the lower right hand corner...
Decorated with flower trim roses, silver glimmer paper and mini heart hearts which were die cut and added with dimensionals
inside I printed the insert with matching pink border and the Bride and Grooms initials
the front of the box was decorated to match the card
and finally both the card and box together, I loved making this and we were both pleased with the end result, let's just hope the Happy Couple like it as much!
Well, thanks as ever for stopping by today, I hope you have enjoyed today's project?

Secret Garden Thanks

Hello there,
I'm really late today as we have been out most of the day and then I was at work tonight ;-)
Anyway, I have a quick little card to share with you tonight using the dies that match the Secret Garden stamp set and Polka Dot Parade DSP. We used the stamps and dies at this weeks class which (as soon as I have edited the photos, tomorrow hopefully) I will share with you!
For these cards I used a Regal Rose card base with the Old Olive paper from the pack and added a little Daffodil Delight 3mm taffeta ribbon knot too,
I die cut the leaf and added the paper behind
But, waste not, want not I embossed the leaf with polka dot folder and popped it inside :-)
and here they are all together...
Thanks for stopping by today and just a quick reminder about the new Stampers Club I am starting in June, more details are HERE :-))))

This Man- Viola's Lace and how to Un-Mount your wheel stamps tutorial

Hello there!
I have pretty new stamp (to me) today which I loved in the catty called Viola's Lace.
Now, I love the pattern but I really am not great at getting a good, straight line from wheel stamp. So, my theory is do what you need to to make your stamps work for you!
So I have unmounted my wheel stamp and added it to Clear Mount Foam and here is a little tutorial sharing how to do the same if you want to too.
This is the card I made using the stamp, it seriously reminded me of my favourite book right now "This Man" by Jodi Ellen Malpas, if you liked Bared To You you'll adore this ;-)
Anyway, back to the card...
Raspberry Ripple card with Black and Crumb Cake...
 Victorian Crochet Trim bow
and I love the fact that you can have a proper "end" to the stamp by un-mounting it too!
So here is how to do the same to your wheel stamps...
OK, so I had already done the Lace stamp before I decided to share the deets with you but I had a (retired) Fast Flowers wheel to demo, you also need clear mount foam from SU! (page 7, main catty)
To start, find the join and carefully peel at the edge like this.
Now, get your rubber scissors (or other strong and sharp scissors) and cut along the join.
Then peel away from the wheel base, this should be really easy!
Then peel off the excess glue from the rubber.
Pop the stamp on the foam, remember there is the "cling" side and there is a (very) sticky side, the sticky side is the side you want to adhere your stamp to. Also only peel back the paper liner from the section you will be using to preserve the rest of the foam for later use.
Pop the paper back over the stamp and crease as close as you can along the edge of the stamp...
 Trim as close to stamp as possible, {the paper stops a lot of the excess glue from gumming up the scissors, as much as is possible anyway}
Then trim the tiny strip from the sides to neaten, remove the other side of the paper and you're ready to stick  your stamp to your clear block.
Here is my lace wheel, I also trimmed along the bottom edge as the rubber had a straight edge when it was removed from the wheel.
TIP 1: I trimmed the rubber first, then adhered it to the foam and trimmed the foam to match the rubber.
TIP 2: remember to use your grid paper to line up the stamp so it's straight-ish across the block and also then use the grid paper lines when you stamp for maximum straight-ness ;-)
Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope you found the tutorial today helpful :-)

Butterfly Word Play

Hello there,
Today's card is another one we made at class last week using this sweet sentiment from Word Play (on page 137) and the flowery butterfly from Papillon Potpourri (on page 117) as a background on a crumb cake panel using versamark.
TIP: You can get this subtle effect with versamark on any coloured card, great if you don't have the matching ink pad, it's just a tad paler. The only exceptions are white and vanilla ;-)

we stamped the sentiment first then die cut it out using the Apothecary Accents framelits
This pretty punched butterfly and the paper across the bottom of the card is from the Comfort Cafe DSP pack.
Right, that's all from me for today,
And don't forget you can now order online now at any time :-)))
and of you are interested in joining us at a card making class then I have a couple of spaces at Tuesday's class next week, message me to come along...
Thanks for visiting me today

Collage Curios

Hello there,
I have another class card today using the Collage Curios set, now I'll be honest here, I got this set ages ago but hadn't touched it 'till now! I know, I'm bad!! I actually (as is often the case) really enjoyed playing with it and would even go as far as to say I really liked the whole set! (as did the ladies who came to the class) So, there will be more from this little beauty in the future from me ;-) Well, I suppose I had better stop jabbering and share the card I made then huh?
the images from the set were added with dimensionals, layering some up after inking the edges and adding the small gold and silver brads after the images
Now, at the bottom I added some DSP. Look at the lovely embossing on the Naturals Composition DSP, this 'paper' is more card weight and could easily be used for your card bases, think that might be my next project.... and the blue paper was from Comfort Cafe pack, another pack I wanted to do a set of cards around, I had better get cracking eh?
OK, that's all from me for today :-)
My next class is running on the 27th and 28th May, message me to join us!
Laters!
