Hello there,
I have a whole heap of cards to share with you today, so please be warned, super long post with ooodles of pictures! Grab a cuppa and enjoy.
I was recently asked by my upline Julie to make a selection of cards using a product from the Spring/Summer catalogue and I chose the Hearts a Flutter bundle! I am loving this set with it's matching framelits but I hadn't seen it around the web too much, so I got to work and had a play.
This is what I came up with...
I will share three in close up with you today, saving the other two for tomorrow! I love the colours of this card, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple
the middle heart is backed with Patio Party DSP, with the other hearts being stamps from the set. Sliver glimmer paper hearts punched with the small heart punch are in between and the very lovely honeycomb embossing folder was used too
Summer Starfruit ribbon with a vintage faceted button (again) in the centre
So, for the second card today I wanted to make a man's card, the set doesn't immediately shout men's cards but I think this is just perfect for those guys in your life,
just change out the "Dad" (from For My Family) to personalise it for whoever you like ;-)
"Worlds Greatest" was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
the mini button brads above and this mini safety pin are from the Vintage Trinket pots, tied here with a bit of Midnight muse ribbon, but not too much so as it's "girly"!
and you can see the curl and spritz that I gave the banners here
Now, this is the last close up for today ;-)
This card was made using just the small heart die from the Hearts a Flutter set and Comfort Cafe DSP.
I die cut 3 layers of each of the 6 papers shown here, inked the edges of each heart in Crumb Cake and layered them with just a tiny bit of glue in the centres,
then I stamped the background with Versamark ink using the hearts from the Confetti stamp set, adhered the hearts fully to the card front and sewed straight(ish) down the centres with Navy thread
More Midnight Muse ribbon, I'm on a bit of a Midnight Muse roll today it would seem!
and finally a shot of the depth, luckily this would fold fairly flat for posting although it would surely be a large letter with the ribbon knot too, but at least it wouldn't need a box!
Right, I hope you have enjoyed today's post and if you are reading this bit then at least you haven't fallen asleep with all the pics! ha ha!
Back tomorrow with the other two cards from this set to share with you
Thanks for visiting today
