Bee Thankful in Rainbow Blends

Hello from sunny Spain!
I'm away visiting with my Dad but I have lots of cards to share with you while I'm here and today I'm sharing this one as I have recently got myself some new colours of Blends :-D
I've been on a roll with rainbow effects this week (both stamping and colouring) so expect to see more soon ;-)
Anyway, I used my pens with the Bee Thankful stamp to make this card...
I used both the light and dark Blends pens in:
Lovely Lipstick, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party and Highland Heather with a touch of Mint Macaron for the leaves.
I stamped using Memento onto regular Whisper White card. I find this the best base for colouring with Blends.
Simple silver thread wrapped under the stamped image grounds it.
Layered onto some Dapper Denim (retired) card and all finished with a coat of Wink of Stella makes a simple and flat card. Great for posting as I resisted adding sequins, just for a change ;-)
Right, that's me off for today. I have brought crafting stuff with me but I resisted playing last night so I could edit some pics for my blog, maybe I'll play with some later today...
I'll be back tomorrow with another make but 'till then, happy stamping!

Bee Thankful in Yellow Ombre and last chance to get 10 FREE Ink Pads!

Hi!
Todays card uses the new Bee Thankful stamp. This is an individual, red rubber stamp and now the individual stamps are available in both clear and wood mount. I love that!
I started this card by stamping the image onto whisper white card then colouring the image using both daffodil delight blends and my light pumpkin blends pen to create this ombre effect...
I started to fussy cut the image as I was going to add it over a patterned background but I wasn't happy with how that looked so I just added it to a white background instead. Obviously next time I would just stamp and colour the image onto a white card layer and save all that fussy cutting ;-)
I ran the white card edge through my Navy ink pad then added it to a Melon Mambo card base for a bright pink punch!
Finished with a few clear sequins from my stash and that's it!
This stamp set is so fun and really doesn't need much else other than to colour it to make a super fun card! Don't you think?
Also, just a quick reminder that this is the last but one day to join SU! and choose a whole colour family of ink pads FREE with your starter kit
