Step Up That Shaker Card! with Celebrate Today by Stampin' Up!

Hello,
I hope you have had a chance to see yesterday's post with the shaker card video tutorial? You can FIND IT HERE if not ;-) Now, I really loved the original version of this card that I designed but it was my dear friend's birthday and I wanted to "wow" the original up even more and that means only one thing in my house - Yes! Ribbon! Well to be more precise lacy ribbon!! Double win ;-)
So, I took the original card and chopped the back away, adding the card front to a 14.8cm (6") square card base, slightly to the right hand side before adding a Sahara Sand Lace Trim bow down the left hand side, take a look....
*Sigh* This trim ties the most divine bows...
To see how to make the shaker card please hop over to THIS POST and watch the video :-)
Here are the original cards. Cute even without the ribbon, right?
And one more picture of the lace trim, just because I can ;-)
OK, that's all from me for today, I hope you liked my stepped up card and now you can do the same with your C6 cards if you want too ;-)
So, the kids are off school now, I have a few weeks off work soon (phew) and I am taking a short break from classes too, but don't worry, I still have quite a few things to share here with you already made and I am hoping to make plenty more pretty things over the summer months too ;-)
You will definitely be able to find me on Instagram and Facebook all over this summer so do keep an eye out while you're relaxing in the sun!
Thanks for your support visiting my blog and I'll be back here tomorrow with another card,

A Step-by-Step Shaker Card Video Tutorial using Stampin' Up's Celebrate Today

Hello!

I have been away from my blog for a couple of days but I have certainly not been idle! Last night I was up late making Teachers Cards (yes, I know they finish today!) which you can get a few sneak peeks of on my Instagram and Facebook pages if you don't follow me there already ;-) and of course yesterday I was also editing this video. As this is quite a bit lot longer than two minutes, that's why it didn't upload in time for TMT yesterday, apologies for that. This is a rather a longer tutorial sharing with you all the steps to make a shaker card, as requested by a dear friend of mine and fellow crafter.
So, let's take a better look at the shaker cards I made using the cute hot air balloon from Celebrate Today shall we?

I went with a cool Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand colourway with plenty of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper stars in the shaker window
Why not grab a cuppa and take a look at the video....
and a few more pics of the cards I made to finish today...
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today's post as much as I did making it?
If you like this card but want to "Step it Up" a bit please stop by here tomorrow and see my (even more) special version of this card and learn a fab way to make any standard size card that bit larger and even more beautiful!
I look forward to seeing you then!

A4 Milk Carton Video: A (non) Two Minute and (non) Tuesday Post ;-)

Hello there,
*Edit to say* I had this post all ready to go yesterday but unfortunately YouTube was taking an age to upload the video! So, for this week only it's a Not Two Minute and Not Tuesday video! Please, I hope you enjoy it though, whenever you see it :-) xxx
I'm here today with a new video but a much longer one than the usual Two Minute Tuesday. It's a nearly nine minute video sharing one of my very first photo tutorials I ever had on here making a milk carton from one sheet of A4 card and using very minimal supplies. Here I have used the sweet stamp set Think Happy and Pool Party card and ink, take a look...
I stamped this sentiment from the Celebrate Today set and the bow is die cut from Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper (not Iridescent Ice like I *may* have called it in the video ;-))
I edged this with a SU! marker pen to give it the pink edge, please see the video for top tips.
Also in the video I mention the Melon Mambo blendabilities for colouring the pearls, these are no longer available, sadly :-(
The pretty dazzling diamonds banner die-cut
 and a matching pair ;-)
So, shall we take a look at the video? Cool!
Well, I really hope you have enjoyed today's video tutorial and I'll be back tomorrow with a new card from class this week.
Thanks for looking today,
