Happy Birthday to my Mum!

Hello there,
Today will be mostly getting ready for this weeks classes, I have still got some cutting to do but I have (mostly) finished designing the cards for this next class. See my FACEBOOK page today for a sneak peek at a couple of the cards...
So, today's card for the blog is the card I made for my Mum this week for her birthday. We got her a lovely DKNY gold (and silver) watch for her birthday gift and I wanted to continue the theme with a gold card and came up with this. I started with some of the very pretty Watercolour Wonder DSP and sewed a same sized piece of Gold Spotty Vellum onto it,
I then added some Banners which I die cut with the new framelits from the Spring/Summer catalogue '14 again using the Watercolour Wonder paper; edged with a bit of gold ink using a sponge and then sewing across the top edge to secure to the card
This sentiment is from Chalk Talk and I stamped it using Versamark and heat embossed it with Gold Powder before die cutting out. Some sequins and gold and (free) coral bakers twine decorate underneath.
Inside the card I just added a simple white layer of card which I ran through the Gold ink pad before adhering.
Well, Mum seemed happy with her card and presents and I have seen her wearing the watch every day since then so I would say it was a success! I hope you liked the card too and I want to say thank you for visiting today :-))))

Chalk Talk Tag

Hello,
A really quick post today just to share with you a really simple way to give a party favour. I made these for Zack's birthday favours instead of party bags (most of which gets chucked away within a week anyway!)
I purchased boxes of Malteasers and simply wrapped them with a band of (retired) DSP. Such a great way to use up the stacks of paper we all have huh? I then wrapped the boxes with an (also retired) sweater trim bow and added a stamped Chalk Talk tag....
The tag was stamped using Midnight Muse ink
and with Cherry Cobbler trim too :-)
Well, I did say it would be quick and it is, surprisingly, for me!
I hope you found today's idea a help and I would love to see your party favours too...
I'll be back later tomorrow with a new card from my Flip Card class I am hosting in the morning,
Stampin' Hugs from me for now,

Quick Chalk Talk Thanks

Hello there,
I have been busy today cutting loads of card up and generally getting ready for next weeks all day classes then work tonight so I'm a tad later than I planned!
This card was a super quick make using a Chalk Talk sentiment which I inked just the sections I wanted using markers so it changes up the look a bit ;-)
The paper is Quatrefancy speciality again and the retired tag punch it reminds me a a family or school emblem on this card don't you think?
Love this scratchy look font and it fits lovely in this retired tag punch. I also added a few spots from Gorgeous Grunge in Pink Pirouette so it was nice a subtle....
I made a paper flat bow with some off cuts I had sat around, I like to use up the little bits ;-)
OK, that's me for today, back tomorrow with the first of my Giggle Greetings class cards.
Thanks for stopping by today,

Gorgeous Grunge Class Card

Hello there,
I have a card today which was inspired by this card the very talented Jenni,
I loved the layout and was dying to try out my new Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and so this is my version.
I used a colour combo of Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe, another firm favourite.
My version has a few differences including the Chalk Talk label and some of the very pretty Cantaloupe ruffled ribbon too :-) I LOVE this stamp set, it's so versatile and whilst it doesn't replace the spritzer tool (which a lot of my ladies found hard to squeeze) it's a great alternative to make creative backgrounds and it's a lot more controlled too...
Plenty of layering on this tag..
and a close up of the ruffled ribbon and linen thread too :-)
OK, that's me for today, thanks again to Jenni for the inspiration!

Hello there,
I have a card to share today which I made for my dear friend Laura's birthday last week plus some offers and of course the BRAND NEW SEASONAL CATALOGUE TOO!!!
So, shall we start with the catty? It's choc full of Christmas, Halloween and Autumnal goodies. The layout in this catty is a bit different with all the projects and designs at the front and then the products at the back, I'm sure we will all enjoy flipping through though to find all the goodies we "need" to add to our stash ;-)
Next up, an offer! 15% off when you purchase Papillion Potpourri and the matching Bitty Butterfly punch, to see a couple of cards I have made with either the stamp or the punch (or both ;-)) go HERE and HERE
That makes the punch with the clear mount set now £23.97 and with the wood mount set it's just £26.52! Message me to purchase yours

Of course we also have a new "Best of" set, this month featuring Christmas! Whoop!! The best of sets are £13.95 and come in clear mount only, they all feature what  is considered the best of a previously released stamp set plus one original and new stamp in each set. They are all available until the 31st March 2014 :-)
So, now onto Laura's card. I met Laura through SU! and we became great friends even though we don't get together nearly enough!! We must remedy this soon, now the children are back to school!
I recently got my hands on this Pleasant Poppies stamp and was desperate to make a card with it so this is what I came up with...
I stamped onto Naturals White card and coloured in using my blender pens and ink pads
and of course I added a bit of decor inside too!
Right, that's me done for today.
I just wanted to quickly update you on my Christmas Kick Start Class, Saturday 28th Sept. is now FULL, Tuesday 1st Oct. I have just one place left but I still have spaces on Monday 30th Sept.

Chalk Talk Thanks

Hello,
I have some cute and quick thank-you cards to share with you today,
I used some of the Quatrefancy Speciality DSP and the new Chalk Talk stamp set to make these little cards. They are just 9.9cm square and perfect for a little note and you can get 3 from an A4 sheet of card!
Card base is Midnight Muse with a pop of colour in Strawberry Slush and I added a little bit of the yummy new ruffled ribbon Coastal Cabana too...
The sentiment I used is a retired set but lots of others would work well, you could use; Petit Pairs, Fabulous Phrases or even Teeny Tiny sentiments...
and here they are all together...
Thanks as ever for stopping by today :-)
