A More Modern Take

Hello there blog friends!
Apologies for the lack of a post yesterday, it was not for the lack of projects to post, more because we spent a lovely day out together at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. We went up the tower and even braved walking on the glass floor too :-)
Here we are sat in the cafe which is on the second level

So, I do have a card to share today, this one uses Fresh Vintage but I wanted to give it a more modern twist so I changed up the colours using the colour coach for inspiration. I also based this card on the Mojo Monday sketch, it's been a long time since I seem to have had time to join in any challenges...
Loving the Melon Mambo wide striped grosgrain ribbon, perfect for tying lush bows
I inked the flower using my markers for this effect, I will be starting a marker share soon, message me if you would like to join :-) and a strip of pretty rhinestones add just enough bling
to decorate inside I huffed on my stamp again, without re-inking it, and stamped on the insert to give this paler version of the front flower
Well, that's me for today, I'm off to enjoy this Saturday with the kids, think we might go to the forest for a bit with the dog?? Have a lovely day whatever you are up to and thank-you for visiting me

Laura's Brag Book

Good morning,
To share with you today I have the brag book the lovely Laura designed for the All Day class. We were going to get together and run this day but unfortunately we ended up doing the same class in different locations :-)
So this is the beautiful book Laura designed, I added a little 3d flower on the front using the new Blossom Party die and a ruffled ribbon rose (tutorial here) it does look pretty but it did make photographing this book a little more hmmm, lets say, tricky! The bag base is stamped using Spiced Paisley in craft white ink
and when you open it up there are two pockets inside
which open out, I have left mine blank for now....
As you can see I did mine in colours to match the Spice Cake DSP as this was the theme for the day, I stamped the flower from Fresh Vintage onto the pages for a little decoration ;-)
and a side view to finish
Wow! I do love this little book, please do visit Lauras blog for lots more fab ideas, I'm sure she will share her version of this cute book soon too :-)

Happy Valentines!

O.K. I must confess to not really being a Valentines kinda girl, in fact we are not a Valentines house at all really! However, having said that I really wanted to send my lovely down- a little something, just to let them know I am thinking of them, so Valentines day was just the perfect excuse ;-)
I made them each a little handbag using the Pillow Box die and the scallop square die with Spice cake DSP for the "flap"
I stamped the FREE Fresh Vintage flower stamp all over the soft suede pillow box and added a pretty antique brad for the clasp
all in a row :-)
and I also popped a little card in with them too. These were made with the full heart and triple heart punches with more Spice cake DSP
adding crystal effects and a rhinestone to a couple of the hearts to highlight
and all 4 cards together
Well girls, I hope you like your little something from me? And wishing a Happy Valentines to all :-D

More SAB ;-)

Good Morning,
Super short post to day as I am off out to get some curtains for Zoe's room today, I am seriously hoping I will not be very long! Lol!
So, I have another card using the SAB set Fresh Vintage and the also free Everyday Enchantment DSP, I am sooo in love with this paper ;-)
I punched out the stamp images with the new Postage Stamp Punch from the mini catalogue, I have to admit to not being fussed by this...until I played with it that is, I really love how delicate it makes the image look, if you would like to have a play then why not book a home workshop and I will bring some goodies round to you for a play or join us at a class, more details about classes at the top of this blog, under the classes tab ;-)
All the edges were inked with Crumb Cake ink, this colour is just perfect for "antiquing" the edges of your paper
Right, that's me for today
Thanks for stopping by today

Another one for the File

Hello there,
Well, Zoe got to Castleton O.K. There is snow there (which she will love, we don't get a lot down South) and she has a lot of thermals and layers with her so she will be fine! I am looking forward to seeing the photos and hearing all about it :-)
So, today I have another card to share using the FREE Fresh Vintage stamps from SAB, I stamped the background with Versamark and the round flower from the set it's not that easy to tell with this photo though
with the matching Everyday Enchantment DSP and a sentiment from Elementary Elegance, WOW! That's a lot of free stuff going on this card ;-) Speaking of FREE how would you like 30% off your next order? And the chance to turn your hobby into a business? And even getting the cost of your starter kit back?
Message me for a no pressure chat about the benefits of becoming a SU! demo with me.
So, back to this card. I coloured the image with markers, stamped onto confetti white card and trimmed it out, matting the image with Peach Parfait card and again trimming, finished with a few more little pearls
Well, I hope you like today's card and I will be back tomorrow with something a bit different
Thanks for visiting today

Another New Home

Good Morning!
And a frosty one it is here too, we don't have snow yet though ;-) We are really hoping it doesn't snow too much this weekend because our Zoe is off on a school trip to Derbyshire on Monday and if it snows too much they might just cancel it...Nooooooo! She would be devastated!
Anyway, back to what you came her for, today's card :-)
The lovely lady who lived over the road moved out yesterday and so I wanted to give her a little card and as this was the one I was working on at the time I went with it, not a traditional New Home card, granted, but the sentiment I wrote inside was ;-)
So, I was playing with my FREE Fresh Vintage stamps (us demonstrators love free too) and also the FREE Everyday Enchantment DSP and this is what I came up with...
I coloured the main image with my SU! markers for maximum prettyness ;-)
*I am going to start a new marker share soon, message me for more details or to join*
and added a few pearls too
pleated 3mm taffeta with another pearl,
and inside a glitter brad with a punched flower
and well, I couldn't resist sending a little drink over for her to toast her new home tonight so I had one last bottle of  Homemade Sloe Gin left which I prettied up (of course)
Well, she seemed happy with the gift and I hope she liked the card when she opened it too!
I do hope you have enjoyed today's card too and if you want to place a SU! order or perhaps would like to chat about starting your own Stampin' business then please do get in touch
