100 Years Young with Apothecary Art by Stampin' Up!

Hello!
I have been very busy today making projects and cards ready for my All Day Class which is being held on the 27th May, please book your place now as there are just 5 places left already! We had such a lovely time at the last all day class with plenty of fun and great project ideas for you to make and repeat at home too.
So, onto the 100th birthday card, this was made for a friend who's Mum couldn't find a nice 100th card in the shops, I hope she likes this one!! ;-)
I used Shimmer and Wisteria Wonder card with the lovely new Apothecary Art stamp set and the matching Framelits dies, LOVING these new products in the Summer Mini!!
Some Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon was secured with a Antique Brad
a few pearls add a touch of class for a lady who makes such a special age
and I finished the inside right with a printed sentiment, on the left I re-inked the stamp, stamped it off and stamped it inside to make a faint image and I did the same with the sentiment to match the front like a watermark.
Well, it is right now winging it's way to Australia, I just hopes she likes it when it arrives so she can give it to her friend ;-)
Thanks for stopping by today!

A More Modern Take

Hello there blog friends!
Apologies for the lack of a post yesterday, it was not for the lack of projects to post, more because we spent a lovely day out together at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. We went up the tower and even braved walking on the glass floor too :-)
Here we are sat in the cafe which is on the second level

So, I do have a card to share today, this one uses Fresh Vintage but I wanted to give it a more modern twist so I changed up the colours using the colour coach for inspiration. I also based this card on the Mojo Monday sketch, it's been a long time since I seem to have had time to join in any challenges...
Loving the Melon Mambo wide striped grosgrain ribbon, perfect for tying lush bows
I inked the flower using my markers for this effect, I will be starting a marker share soon, message me if you would like to join :-) and a strip of pretty rhinestones add just enough bling
to decorate inside I huffed on my stamp again, without re-inking it, and stamped on the insert to give this paler version of the front flower
Well, that's me for today, I'm off to enjoy this Saturday with the kids, think we might go to the forest for a bit with the dog?? Have a lovely day whatever you are up to and thank-you for visiting me

3 of the same!

Happy Saturday to you!
It's my weekend off work and I am really looking forward to spending some time with the family this weekend, might even be able to squeeze a bit of crafting in at some point too!
Last week though there were 3 Jems (team) birthdays and being a bit short of time I decided to make 3 of the same cards :-)
I really wanted to use the stamp set Everything Elanor, love this set ;-)
The colour combo of Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant with Lucky Limeade came from the colour coach, I will definately be using this one again!
So, I stamped the large swirl onto the Wisteria Wonder card before embossing it with the Vintage Wallpaper folder in the big shot,
I also spritzed this layer with shimmer paint mixed with alcohol to make a spray...sparkly!
This cute frame has lines (for journalling) in it so I just inked the outer edge using my markers to omit these, then I punced it out using the new 2+3/8" scallop circle punch before adding the sentiment from Petit Pairs and a knot of ruffled ribbons
Inside I stamped 2 flowers and then on scrap stamped the third, before adding it with dimensionals
and here are all three together
I hope you enjoyed todays cards and also that the 3 ladies who received them had a wonderful day too!
We are off to town in a bit to get Zoe some new school shoes, wishing you a fab Saturday whatever you are up to ;-)

New Catalogue Class Sneak Peeks, Day 1

Hello!
Today I am going to play with paper allll day! Well, after homework with the kids anyway ;-)
I have got 4 days of New Catalogue card classes next week starting Saturday and so over the next few days I will be sharing the projects we will be making at this class with you all. I am FULL on the Monday (3rd) but still have one or two spaces on the Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, message me if you would like to join us for a fun morning :-)
So this is the first card we will be making, and it used loads of NEW products!
I have to tell you it was totally inspired by THIS card! I have changed it around a bit but as you will see it  really is just a bit :-)
3 "pennants" were punched from DSP to make the tree and the scallop circle backing? from the NEW pennant die from the new catty!
and an arty angle to finish
Well, that's it for today, I'm off to rally the kids to get their homework finished then we can all have a nice day playing ;-)

A note of Thanks

Good Morning to you!

Crumb Cake layer was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and  I added some matching Seam Binding ribbon, a simple but, I think, effective little card
I have lots on again today :-s but I will be back tomorrow with the Simply Stampin' Challenge card for you, there is still time to enter this weeks challenge which is "Photo Love"

So Sorry

Hello,
So Much going on today, I am off this afternoon to set up for the Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Fair which starts this Friday until Sunday, I will be doing demonstrations throughout the day using lovey Stampin' Up! products for you to take away! I would love to see you there and if you visit here do say so, I would love to meet my blog readers in real life ;-)
So, today I have one of those cards no-body wants to make, sympathy cards.
I unfortunately needed two of them and this is what I made,
Baja Breeze and So Saffron with Strength and hope butterfly and Sincere Salutations sentiment,
I embossed the white panel, after stamping the sentiment, using the gorgeous Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder using my Big Shot, and added a little butterfly inside,
Well, that's todays card for you,
Ooohh, I just remembered I promised you teachers cards today! Doh! I will be back tomorrow with those then ;-)

I made them with Basic Black card with whisper white and melon mambo panels at the sides, I also added initials using the pretty and fancy Broadsheet Alphabet, with the birthday girls having a flower behind their initials too,
The panels were embossed using the Big Shot and Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder,

Concord Crush, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla
Now, I know I always say I love the challenges on SSC (and I really do!) but this week I LOVE the colours, I admit, I wasn't sure when I read them but as soon as I started playing, well, I was really pleased with the end result, I have already sent it up to my Nan and she was dead chuffed too :-)
I made another ribbon flower which we will be making at this months class.
I unexpectedly have a couple of free places again on Monday if you wish to join us, message me for more details :-D

Sentiment is from the very versatile Sincere Salutations finished with some more of the super soft Stitched In Colour Poly Ribbon and an Itty Bitty Button.
You can also see here I spritzed the Concord Crush card layer with shimmer spray,
I added a punched flower inside, embossed to match,

First Part of June's Class

Hello,
Well, it has just absolutely thrown it down! and being so close to the I.O.W. I truly feel sorry for the poor folks at the festival this weekend, I hear it isn't going to get much better either!! and now it is heavy hail stones too, eek!
Anyway, this morning I have been finishing off my designs for this months class, my regular ladies wanted a techniques class so I have incorporated 3 ribbon flowers, heat embossing and dry embossing.
It promises to be great fun and I have had a couple of spaces become unexpectedly available too, so contact me now reserve your space!
So, onto the first card, I am using the lovely In Colours for this months class and this pretty pink is called Blushing Bride and I have used the colour coach to team it with Sahara Sand and Perfect Plum,
I embossed the patterned paper with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and used the gorgeous Stitched Poly Ribbon for the flower centre,
There will also be enough matching paper for you to decorate the inside,
and second project today is a little pillow box with another cute ribbon rose, this time using seam binding ribbon and again the Vintage Wallpaper folder,
I used Tiny Tags to decorate the Rose Red box, there is also an abundance of shimmer spray this month too ;-)
so, that's two of the projects for this months class, I will be back on Sunday with the other one as tomorrow is of course Simply Stampin' Challenge day and it's a goodie again, do come and see and if you get a chance we would love you to play along,
Thanks for stopping by today,

WOYWW....

Good morning!
I am a lot later today in posting but I am here ;-)
'tis horrible here again today so, nothing else for it but to hide away in my craft room! always a silver lining!!
So, here is my desk, I didn't manage to get involved last week but congrats to Julia on her 2 year anniversary, I am looking forward to smooching round all your desks and seeing your PIF's.
I have a couple of changes to my workspace this week..for a start it actually tidy (for me!)
A closer look to the right, and I have swapped my bottom punch bar to above the other one and gotten a cd rack which I put along the desk to hold my ink pads and new style SU! punches, it also gives me a little shelf,  which I can keep more "stuff" upon ;-)
and to the left which is probably a better pic of the cd holder tbh, plus a few home made bits for the craft fairs I have been attending.
and some crafty goodness too, I used my embossing folders to add a little prettiness to these small serviettes I picked up in Ikea the other day, I think they would be fab for adding a little extra touch to say a birthday, summer bbq or even a wedding table..
and a closer look at the patterns, L-R Square Lattice, Vintage Wallpaper and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders, all Stampin' Up!
Right, I am going to have a really good try at getting round to as many of your desks as possible today!
But thanks to you for visiting me today, I will be back tomorrow with more crafty goodness,
