Simply Stampin' Flutterby Butterfly Chalenge

Good Morning!
First of all I should apologise for not getting round to visit people this week who entered the challenge last week, it has just been manic here with classes and my training day tomorrow! I will do my best to visit all of last weeks entrants this week as well as those of you who take the time to enter this weeks fab challenge too!
And it is a good one, "Flutterby Butterfly"
I have decorated this cute little bucket I had picked up in a supermarket of all places for my friend and down line Anna, she is visiting me for training this weekend, such fun!
I also covered these cute pegs finishing with another butterfly, love the pegs ;-)
a closer view of the flutterby butterflies, LOVE this embosslit die, it cuts and embosses at the same time!

Seam binding ribbon on the handle to add a bit of interest! This would look fab on any ones desk filled with pens or glue etc.
Anyway, I hope you like this mornings project and we would love it if you get a chance to enter the challenge,
Please pop back later as this is the first of TWO posts today, I am participating in a retirement list blog hop at 10am today, and you won't want to miss that , I promise ;-)

A note of Thanks

Good Morning to you!
A much earlier post for you today ;-)
I have a little card for you today I sent to a lovely lady I met at the Steam and Craft Fair.
I used the Sizzix SU! exclusive Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies to make 'Thanks' in Rose Red,
Crumb Cake layer was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and  I added some matching Seam Binding ribbon, a simple but, I think, effective little card
I have lots on again today :-s but I will be back tomorrow with the Simply Stampin' Challenge card for you, there is still time to enter this weeks challenge which is "Photo Love"
Thanks for visiting today

Baby Boy

Good Morning,
I was recently asked by a friend to make a Baby Boy card as she didn't give me any details I made this very general Baby card for her,
Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake colour combo, what ever did we do before Crumb Cake?? I used the Subtles DSP stack and the ever versatile Top Note die with Little Additions stamp set,
Matching Seam Binding ribbon with a double knot ;-)
Sentiment comes from Something to Celebrate, the level 2 stamp set in the current Mini catalogue and I punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch, a few punched stars from the same paper and inked around the edges make the background a bit more interesting,
and a bit of decoration inside using Versamark ink so it's nice and subtle,
Right, that's today's card for you.
I am placing a Stampin' up! order in the next day or two, if you would like to add anything and live local you can jump in and make your postage just £1, message me to add anything or if you live further I will send your order on at cost ;-) Don't forget the gorgeous FREE gift available if you spend £75, I sooo need this gift and I'm sure you do too!! ;-)
Thanks for dropping by today,

More Jems Birthdays :-)

Boy, July is one busy birthday month with those Jems! I have a birthday card for Lisa to show you today, it was her birthday yesterday so I should be fine to share this with you today.
I decided to use the super cute Level 2 stamp set (FREE that means) 'Cute by the Inch'
I love the cupcake image in this set which I inked here using the markers to get the two colours and then punched out using the Tag Punches,
and look at this scrummy ribbon rose, I made a very similar one for techniques class last month but the lovely Jo D came up with an even simpler way of making them, her tutorial is HERE,
I put the bottom strip through the crimper and spritzed it with shimmer spray before adhering,
and a little decoration inside with the Eyelet Border punch and the crimper again,
O.K. that's today's post for you. It's the first full day of the holidays today so I am hoping the kids want a PJ day as I have still got a list as long as your arm ;-)
Before I go please don't forget the July special finishes soon.
And also please email me now to reserve your place at my August class, more pictures and details HERE.
I look forward to hearing from you soon :-D
Thanks for visiting me today,

June Techniques Class, Part 2

EDIT TO SAY, SORRY I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS DIDN'T PUBLISH THIS MORNING, BUT HERE IT IS A LITTLE LATER THAN PLANNED :-)

Happy Sunday to you!
My eldest boy is coming home today :-D He has been in France for a week on
an adventure holiday with the school, I hope he has had a nice time but it will be good to see him home safe and well.
Anyway, I am here to show you the second card we will be making at this months class, I was asked to do a technique class by some of my regular ladies. Therefore I think this would be a brilliant class for people who are a little unsure of what to do or are beginners at crafting as I will be taking you through step by step, at the same time though it will still be challenging enough for more experienced crafters too ;-)
These buttons are die cut from Poppy Parade card to match the flower Designer Series Paper using the cute Button Embosslit and then covered with Crystal Effects, sentiment id from the Level 2 Hostess set Something to Celebrate,
Bella Toile background stamp used here with clear embossing powder for the panel to mount the flower,
This flower is one I have done a tutorial for HERE, but if you would like to learn hands on then please message me to reserve your place,
Colour combo I have used with Poppy Parade is So Saffron and Baja Breeze, I do love this combo, regular visitors will have seen me use this combo before ;-)
For the first part of Junes class see THIS POST for more details, but here they all are together,
Well, I hope you like the projects we will be making and I look forward to welcoming you to our fun and friendly class :-)
Thanks for stopping by today,

Birthday Boy

Hello there!
Wow! What a lot of people visited yesterday! I am so happy to have you visit me here :-D
I am again a little late posting today as I have had Zoe poorly and up 4 times in the night last night! But she seems to be O.K. at the moment, fingers crossed. Normally it would be fine as I am at home during the day and we could just hang out... but DH is off today and I was really hoping for lunch out, or at the very least a coffee out somewhere! kids huh? perfect timing ;-) he he!
Anyway, onto today's card, I am in love with the New level 1 hostess set from the mini catalogue A Slice of Life, it has such cute images included and I wanted to have a little play with the birthday cake and candles...
in fact as I look at this it is very similar to this weeks Simply Stampin' Challenges sketch this week, hop over and take a look ;-)
you can see here I added Crystal Effects to some of the layers and spots after I had coloured the cake using just about all the blue ink pads I have and a blender pen,
I ruffled the Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon by pulling a thread from the centre and this sentiment is from the Level 2 set Something to Celebrate, also from the new mini catty, I inked it using my markers to get the cute two tone effect. For a great deal when ordering during June and July go HERE
DSP is Certainly Celery from the Subtles paper stack,
And finally I did a little stamping on the inside to finish it off but I think I may add a white layer in here too...
O.K. that's it from me today, thanks as ever for dropping by today, I hope you have enjoyed today's card and I will be back tomorrow with more crafty goodness,

Congratulations Jane!

Good Morning!
Well we had a lovely day yesterday strawberry picking, we picked plenty and ate one or two too ;-)
Anyway, as promised here is the card I made for Jane, the lucky winner of the prize draw I was running, a new one starts on Sunday, more details HERE. This card was inspired by the CPS sketch this week, a great one I think I will use again and again!
Base is Not Quite Navy, a colour I have really started to love of late ;-) with Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze, I "discovered" this combo when I ordered some card this month. These three were together in the delivery and I decided to make my next card using them!
I used Seam Binding ribbon in Baja Breeze (In THIS share) to make another double bow,
I stitched round the Crumb Cake layer attaching the Vellum Card stock sentiment from the Level 2 hostess set Something to Celebrate, you can earn this for FREE, ask me how sarah-janerae@sky.com . I also added some Basic Rhinestones to finish this bit off,
The fireworks stamp is from the often overlooked set New Years Celebration, it also has a Champagne Bottle and Glasses amongst others too ;-)
I also stitched and stamped inside
and a final side view showing off the Square Lattice Embossed layer too,
I really hope Jane likes her prize and this card and also that it arrives before she see's this post! ha ha!
Thanks for stopping by today, I will be back tomorrow with my Simply Stampin' Challenge card, do stop by if you get a chance.

Charity Card Making Class

EDIT TO SAY: THIS CLASS IS NOW AVAILABLE AS A STEP-BY-STEP PDF TUTORIAL GO HERE TO PURCHASE :-)
Hello,
I am organising a charity card making class to be held on the 9th July in aid of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Stampin' Up! has designed a beautiful stamp set (p. 31, mini catty) with this charity in mind and is donating £1/$2 to this charity for every set purchased worldwide, so I am hoping to help with the fund-raising efforts by hosting a class using this lovely stamp set (I have been playing with it and it is truly gorgeous to work with) whilst doing something we all enjoy :-)

This class includes your very own set of "Strength and Hope" stamps in your choice of clear or wood mount, Stampin' Up! will donate £1 to this charity for each set we purchase and I will match that with a £1 donation too, all your card cut to size and adhesive as per normal for a class, a raffle with LOTS of brilliant prizes, Cupcakes (of course) and Plenty of fun too!
The cost for this class is just £20 for the clear mount option and £23 for the wood mount option. Of course if you already have this stamp set then you can substitute it with another of equal value, but please bring along your set to this class.
One raffle ticket is included in the cost of your class and more will be available to purchase on the day. ALL profit from the raffle will go to the charity too.

You can make the cards in either the Blue or Pink but this class must be paid in full, with your choice of colours, by the 2nd July in order to give the stamps time to get here in time for the class :-)

I am also offering the optional extra of a roll of Seam Binding Ribbon in a matching colour and a pack of Basic Rhinestones for just £10, again this must be pre-ordered so it is ready for you at the class,

and here are the cards in Pink, shown here using the optional extras

I hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be a fun time for a great cause.
If you live too far to attend this class then please email me for more details on this class by post. Unfortunately I cannot offer the cupcakes in this class kit by post ;-)
EMAIL me now to reserve your place, hurry, we are filling up fast!

A Different Take on Baby Blossoms

Good Morning!
Well, I managed to get loads done in the garden yesterday, the weather held off although a few times we thought we could feel a spot of rain (the kids were practically rain dancing! lol!) but boy did I ache last night!! I am hoping to get a bit more done today if the weather is kind again...
So today I have a card I made for a challenge Julie set to her team, the jems, it was to case a card from the mini but change 3 things: 1)  the colour combo, 2) an embellishment and 3) the size.
Now shall we have a bit of fun today?? Can you guess which card I cased from the MINI?? I will even give you a clue! I changed the embellishment from a die cut to a stamp ;-)
Answers in the comments section, I will even send out a little prize if anybody manages to guess correctly!
So this cards details, I wanted to see if I could use the yummy Baby Blossoms in a different colour way to the catty, not that I don't love the colour combo (I adore it, tbh) but we need as many different ideas as possible for our stamps, yes?
Card base is Soft Suede, with layers of Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake seam binding, and, as you can see the ole' sewing machine has been back out again ;-)
and this gorgeous spotty frame is in the Baby Blossoms stamp set too, such a great value set wouldn't you agree?
Well I hope you have fun guessing and I am really looking forward to seeing which card you guys think I "cased"
