Secret Garden Card 2

Hello there,
I have the second card from last weeks class today, this one is around a lot in blogland and on Pinterest sharing how to get this lovely effect for your cards.
But if you have missed it here's how we did it: we began by stamping the flower using Versamark and heat embossing using the white embossing powder to make these flowers on Crumb Cake card from the Secret Garden stamp set
Then we coloured them in using an aqua painter and the White Craft ink pad, blast with a heat gun to dry (or leave to dry (this takes a while) and add highlights, again with your aqua painter, in the colour you have close, I used Primrose Petals :-) Again blast with your heat gun or leave to dry naturally. Add a sentiment in a co-ordinating colour, mine is from Curly Cute.
We then die cut the shape out from the largest Labels Collection framelit , tying a Primrose Petals ribbon bow around to decorate. We did also stamp the base card with the same flower, again using Versamark and finally add the stamped panel with dimensionals to finish.
Well, I hope you liked today's card as much as we enjoyed making it at class?
Back soon with more!

Candlelight Christmas DSP card

Hello there,
I have a super quick card for you today, it's one we made at stamp-a-stack last month and I love the clean lines of it, a great one to reproduce in multiples don't you think??
I used the Candlelight Christmas DSP from the Autumn/Winter catalogue HERE and the Curly Cute stamp set for the sentiment
to attach the DSP and acetate I simply stacked and stapled it at the top, then trimmed the top edges so they were flush with the Vanilla card, adding a knot of (retired) crochet trim with a glue dot above the staple to finish
Before I go, please remember to take a look at my Stamping club post HERE for your chance to get at least £25 worth of freebies plus a card kit each month too!!
Well, I hope you like today's card and I will be back again soon with more crafty magic ;-)

Birthday Aviary

Hello again,
I have another card using Aviary today, it is much the same a Julie's card from last week except for this one I used Pool Party and Island Indigo for the colour combo, a firm favourite of mine and the girl I sent it to also ;-)
To start I used Delicate Doilies as a background on the Pool Party layer
Sahara Sand cages with the lovely lil' birdies inside :-)
and a little owl decorates the sentiment (from Curly Cute) and some pretty rhinestones too
OK, that's all for today, back tomorrow with some more,
Hope you're enjoying the summer holidays as much as I am!

Aviary stamp set and Olymic Torch too

Hello there
We have been out to see the Olympic Torch today at Lyndhurst, it was fab! There were lots of people there and it was dry the whole hour we were waiting, just raining for the actual torch coming through!! Ha ha, great British summer eh?
So I thought I would just share a couple of pics of the morning but there a card is further down the post ;-)
Acrobats...
Torch bearer in the middle of this pic, not too easy to see tbh :-s
but l-o-a-d-s of people there which was fab to see,
We all enjoyed it though, despite the rain, even Josh (believe it or not!!)
OK, this is why you are here right, a card!
I made this card for my dear friend Jules using Aviary, Pool Party and Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder, I adore this colour combo!!
I haven't used these cute birds for a while,
a printed brad decorates some ruffled ribbon
and a little Owl (my fave bird from the set) decorates the Curly Cute sentiment,
Right, I'm off for today,
Thanks for visiting and I will be back soon with more paper fun!

A new twist on Bright Blossoms by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
What wonderful weather we are having right now in the UK! We had our first BBQ last night but today I have soooo much to do getting ready for the Craft Fayre on Saturday {Beaulieu Village Hall 10.30-3, message me for directions of you need them} and my All Day Class, which runs this Sunday, that I have be content inside, looking out of the window to the sun!
So, today I have a completely different look using this fab set from the Summer Mini,
I really wanted to make some background paper with the stems and flowers in this set and this is the end result, I think it would look fab in so many different colour ways too!
the colours I used were Lucky limeade, Crumb cake and Night of navy
denim ribbon bow with the obligatory bling!
and a sentiment using Curly Cute to finish
I sent this card to one of my team who reached a promotion, she is doing so well :-)
If you are interested in joining my team (The Southern Belles, not that you have to be in the South mind!!) then please remember that the fantastic offer for a FREE place at Convention {worth a whopping £149!!} ends at the end of May. PLUS the kit is now just £99 and is fully customisable too!!
Just so you know our next scheduled team meeting is the 10th June, we would all love if you could come along to this, there will be lots of hints and tips on business building and of course cake and crafting!
I hope you like today's card and I look forward to hearing from you with any questions or queries regarding joining SU!

More Satmpin' Up! Create a Cupcake

Hi there,
I have a quick little card using the soon to be going from the Spring Mini Create a Cupcake stamp set and punch, I ma going to miss this little punch, not least because it will go fantastically with one of the fab NEW stamp sets from the new Summer mini that is just around the corner ;-)
So, today's card uses embedded embossing which I was reminded of from Christmas by a card Jules made last week (or so) Cheers Jules!
I stamped the sentiment from Curly Cute before embossing with the Square Lattice Folder
and an arty angle to finish ;-)
OK, another quick post but I do have a very different Spiced Paisley card tomorrow for you!

Thank-You

Hello there,
It's going to be a lovely day again by the look of it and I already have a couple of loads of washing on the line! Shame I have indoors stuff to do today ;-)
I was playing around with a cleaner look the other day, and I love Borderlines for this, and I made this little thank-you card
Borderlines stamped in Wild Wasabi with Melon Mambo itty bitty flowers, great little punches!
and curly cute for the sentiment, now it wasn't meant to be on a banner, but I was trying to be a bit clever and not use a stamp-a ma-jig so it ended up wonky! hence the lil' banner ;-)
Well, that's me for today, I hope you have enjoyed your visit today, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to my Mum!

A little later than planned today as I had the first of this fortnight's classes this morning, a lovely way to spend my Saturday :-)
How would you like to make cards with lovely ladies (and gents) for a living? Then why not join my team of Southern Belles? Message me for more info on becoming a SU! demo with me.
Right, last week was my Mum's birthday and this is the card I made her, I used the Faux Mother of Pearl technique again as I liked the effect so much when I made the class samples a couple of weeks ago.
The lovley flourish is from Everything Elanor and the sentiment is Curly Cute
Another ribbon rose in Pool Party with Wild Wasabi leaves,
I used Pink Pirouette with Pool Party and Sahara Sand colour combo, a lovely subtle and pretty mix with a couple of Vellum card flowers on the Borderlines vines
and more vellum inside too
Well, I hope you liked today's card, Mum did, thankfully ;-)
I will be back tomorrow with details of my next class (31st March, 2nd and 3rd April) this class runs from 9.30-12.30 and we will be making 10 cards for just £14.
Thanks for visiting today

Ribbon Rose Thanks

Good Morning,
I hope you are all well, I have just been over the forest for a walk with the dog! It's not that warm but it was nice to get some fresh air!
Anyway, a quick post today as I am going to be designing my Stamp-a-Stack class (dates are 31st March, 2nd and 3rd April from 9.30-12.30) At this class we will be making 10 cards, 2 each of 5 designs for just £14, message me to book your place :-)
So, back to today's card
I used a base of Basic Black with a Calypso Coral layer embossed with polka dot folder with Crumb cake and Black punched squares
Another ribbon rose, are you fed up with them yet? Lol! I made a paper flower with Blossom Party die, don't forget this is only available 'till the end of April but if you get yours now (and a few other bits, perhaps some of the ruffled ribbon? to make a £45 order) you will get to choose a free Stamp set or pack of DSP. You can choose your freebies from THIS PDF
well, off I go to play with  paper ahem, work really hard ;-)
Thanks for visiting today,
Happy Stampin'

Last minute Christmas Cards

Hello,
I hope you are all well? I expect you are all as crazy busy as I am right now, last minute shopping, cleaning etc!
So I have another Christmas card for you today and not too much chatter!
This one uses some of the gorgeous laser cut shapes from the Flirtatious Speciality designer papers,
the fronts are Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie but the reverse of both is plain white, perfect! So I inked parts up with a sponge dauber in Pool Party to make a very pretty snowflake, in the centre is a die cut "button" made with the SU! embosslit
the background was decorated using SereneSsnowflakes (again ;-)) in Crumb Cake
and here they are all together, sentiment is Curly Cute. I do love this colour combo, very sophisticated ;-)
OK, back tomorrow with a bit of luck with some more Crimbo cards!

Stampers Club card for November

Hello,
I have the card kit that my stampers 6 club received this month with their order. I send out a kit each month to these lovely ladies and then a mini tutorial to accompany it, if you would like to join my new stampers 6 starting in January message me now :-)
Anyway, the card. The colour inspiration came from a swap I received at convention from my SU! sister Angela, Pretty in Pink with Pool Party,
I stamped the snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes, they are so delicate
the sentiment is from Curly Cute
and the tree is made using just half a circle die cut with SU! scallop circle die,
 Inked edges on the tree
So, I hope you like and I will be back tomorrow with a mini tutorial for folding the tree :-D
