Treat Bags with All The Good Things toppers!

Hello,
Today I have a cute little gift idea for you! I like to make these as the perfect little treat for a birthday tea table or just to gift to work colleagues or even just to say thanks for visiting! I used the lovely small Koi fish stamp from the "All The Good Things" stamp set. This is a 'distinktive' rubber stamp set, meaning you get this beautiful colour variation on the image by simply inking in the usual way! It's so pretty and easy to do too!
TIP 1: If you are having trouble getting a good image with a distinktive stamp (or indeed any other detailed stamp) try pressing the ink down into your ink pad with a teaspoon or bone folder as too much ink can make the image blotchy. Also this way the ink is depressed into the pad and not wasted, too.
I used clear card bags (usually used for protecting your cards) which I simply trimmed down to make them a bit shorter before adding a few yummy treats and tied together with some Fresh Fig cotton ribbon (retired) but you could easily use the mini ruffled ribbon in Fresh Fig instead ;-)
I added these stamped and punch toppers with double sided tape but if you have trouble getting the tape to stick to your clear bags you could...
TIP 2: staple the gold glimmer paper to the cello bag before filling and tying then add the stamped topper with a dimensional.
TIP 3: I also rolled the plain circle in the Fresh Fig ink pad to make it pop on the gold glimmer paper! This is really great idea for if you don't have that 'in between punch' or you simply don't want to add an extra layer ensuring you can still see plenty of the gold glimmer, like here.
So, that's all from me for today. I'm working this morning and now we have found ourselves with a load of jobs to get finished today and tomorrow morning ;-)
I hope to craft tomorrow evening and I do hope you get time this weekend to do what you love too!
Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate that you keep visiting x

Five Pencil Gift Box Video Tutorial

Hello!
OK, so I know yesterday I said I was done with Christmas sharing and I am, kind of..... but I made this box for Christmas gifts and did a quick video tutorial too but simply ran out of time to edit and upload it. So, as it's a good size box I thought I would share it with you today and then tomorrow I will share an updated, non-christmas version with you too! Double bubble! Sound good??
So, I have called this a five pencil box because, well, it fits five pencils across, simples! Take a look....
I used a tag from the Tin of Tags kit and backed it with a copper foil paper layer...
... and these yummy copper bells I picked up in town.
In the video I share with you how to thread and wrap these to get this look easily :-)
So, without further adieu, here's the video!
Please do watch the video for tips and tricks but for those of you who like written measurements too, here you go :-)
Measurements in cm: Paper size: 23cm x 12.5cm.
Score points for long side: 1.5cm in from each end.
Score points for short side at 1.5cm, 5.5cm, 7cm and 11cm.
Measurements in inches: Paper size: 9" x 5+1/8".
Score points for long side: 5/8" from each end.
Score points for short side: 5/8", 2+1/4", 2+7/8", 4+1/2".
And one final photo to finish.
So, I'm off to my craft room to make a non-festive version and I'll be back with that tomorrow :-)
All that;'s left for today is to say I hope you have enjoyed todays video and thanks for looking,

Halloween Treats, A Video Tutorial and WIN A Whole Box of Mini Tic Tacs on this Jems Blog Hop Day

Hello there and welcome to this months Jems Blog Hop! You may have hopped here from the lovely Sharon's blog or you may have come straight here, either way, I do hope you will follow the hop all the way around as you're sure to see some amazing ideas and inspiration! Today we are all focusing on the new Autumn/Winter catalogue  which went live just 2 short days ago :-)
I've made a start on some cute Halloween treats that I designed to decorate some Mini Tic Tacs I bought in the duty free shop again this year :-) (I have previously made little pockets for them {HERE} using the envelope framelits, now retired) But more on the tic tacs at the end of this post...
Let's take a look at these Halloween treats..
I have so far used the Dracula, Skeleton and Mummy stamps from Cookie Cutter Halloween but wouldn't they be fab in Christmas designs too???
They are designed to work with the Cookie Cutter Builder punch so no fiddly cutting out! Winner!
TIP: The punch is 10% cheaper with the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle!
So, here's a super quick video sharing the measurements and a few tips to make these spoooookily good treat holders..
Don't have any mini tic tacs to decorate? Well, place an order with me either online or directly (over £25, before post) or come to a card class during September and I will add your name into my prize draw to win your own box of 60! Plenty to get you started on those Halloween (or Christmas) treats ;-) *One entry per order or for a September class place, but there's no limit to the number of times you can order.
Please note: The Tic Tac prize draw is in addition to the free gift received with orders using the September shopping code so don't forget to use it when you order too ;-)
