Stretch Your Christmas Supplies Further, Class Card. Hearts Come Home stamps and dies.

Hello there,
How are you doing? Are you ready for Christmas yet? I have quite a lot done but I'm sure there's loads I've forgotten, still to do :-0
OK, so I ran my last class of the year last week and as I find that I tend to put away a lot of my Christmas stash after the main event but I wanted to share that perhaps you shouldn't automatically do that.
So this week's class was designed to show how you can stretch your Christmas supplies further.
*EDIT: TO SEE ALL THE OTHER CARDS IN THIS SERIES, GO HERE*
I started with the Hearts Come Home stamps and die set to make both a Christmas card and also a  New Home card, see...
So, here's a closer look at the Christmas version. This is the more typical card you would imagine making with these dies. I also used some of the bokeh paper from the Christmas 'All Is Bright' DSP pack which I stamped with the snowflake from Beautiful Blizzard using matching coloured ink.
Of course I added a heap of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the houses and along the top edge because well, it's Christmas! Sentiment is from the coordinating Hearts Come Home stamp set and I layered both cards with some Coastal Cabana card under the Sahara Sand paper layer to give it a little pop.
So, onto the "non-festive" card, made with the same supplies, give or take.
I used the same paper from the All Is Bright DSP pack but didn't stamp over it this time, simply adding the Hometown Edgelits die cut houses across the bottom again. I also added a crumb cake house to the top of one and covered it using the fine tip glue pen to create a glossy finish to highlight the house.
I adhered the Hometown Edgelit die cut using Tombow glue, which is such a great adhesive as once it's stuck it's not going anywhere but you still have wriggle time to get it right in the beginning.
This sentiment is from the "At Home With You" stamp set and a few sequins from my stash.
So, what  you think? Have I inspired you to keep your Christmas stash out, or at least somewhere closer to your craft desk, yet??
Hopefully I have and you too may get more use from your Christmas stash than just keeping them for once a year!
If you are still not sure please do check back tomorrow for another pair of cards using more Christmas stash and one make will definately be a non-festive one...

"In The City" Hostess stamp set

Happy Sunday to you! Although I actually started writing this post on Friday afternoon *facepalm*
Anyway, I have a sweet little card today using the Hostess only stamp set "In The City". I've really loved this set and it's going to be a keeper for me and these next few weeks are your very last chance to earn it for free!
I made this card a couple of weeks ago and it turns out there's more retiring products than those that are staying, seems I like I'm going to miss quite a lot of stuff from this catty when it retires *-*
So, also leaving us is the Soft Sky background card, the Flirty Flamingo card is also retiring from the In Colours... but staying forever in the colour revamp, Yay! But also leaving is this lovely Brick Wall embossing folder! Which is great for teenagers graffiti wall cards, just sayin' ;-)
So, let's have a closer look at todays make...
I also added some silver tinsel trim to the sentiment here, which was in the Autumn/Winter catalogue.
I used the solid images to colour the outlines for this card but it looks great watercoloured too, see this card HERE that I made.
As I'm writing this I thought how cool would this be coloured with blends? I'm so going to have to give that a go....
So which stamp set or accessory are you going to miss the most? And what would you most like to see in the new catalogue? Answers in the comments ;-)

Watercoloured "At Home With You"

Happy Saturday to you!
I'm going for totally honest with you today and this is one of those "I must have it, immediatly" sets that I have not used anyhere near enough!! Today's card is one that I started months ago, literally, *-*
Let me start from the beginning. I made THIS card  around the same time as I wanted to share two ways of using this set. The first card was stamped and masked, almost flat and a very soft look. But for this card I wanted to use the dies and a mask (for the bricks) and wanted a much brighter, bolder and more dimensional card.
I added the card layers and the die cut shapes and all I did to finish it this week was add the lamps and a front door mat with the sentiment.  Such small finishing touches but I finally felt it was finished so I could photograph it! What do you think...
I love the colours in this wreath and the way it pops off the card front with mini dimensionals.
I used a blender pen to add the colour to the lantern but aquapainters for the larger areas like the door and path and a sponge for the masked bricks.
Wouldn't this make a lovely welcome card for a new neighbour?
Do you ever get that? It doesn't matter how often you look at a card it just never feels quite finished?  Tell me I'm not alone!
I'm happy with this now, hopefully you like it too? Let me know in the comments :-)
Right, I have to buy paint for the bathroom today. Yes, more decision making for me ;-)
Enjoy your Saturday!
