Lucy's Birthday

Helooo,
How is it with you today? It's very windy here but still dry, not sure for how much longer tho :(
Well today we had another crafty day, woo hoo ! and I got my Jems challenge card finished ready for tomorrow (phew) and all Zoe's party favours prettied up ready for Sunday(party day), she is V.V. excited !!
First to show you was some more of the bookmarks I have been making for a friend who came to the practice workshop I held a couple of weeks ago and wanted one for herself and her two kids (she made hers for her DH) and as it was her birthday I thought it would be a nice little extra! I also made one for Josh as he is really into reading at the mo :) Card is cream caramel and pretty in pink, papers are Sweet Always and Always Artichoke DP free as level 1 hostess set (and it's V. yummy too!) Cocktail form the Cheers to You set, rugby and football from the All in the Family Accessories, Letters with my fab new Schoolbook Serif Alphabet,

Here is her card for her birthday which is actually today but we went out for "ladies wot do lunch" (lol) on Monday so she had it then , Sweet Always papers (again!), Tab top is a punch, Linen thread, All SU! ,crochet by MIL. I am also entering this card into the Crafty Goings On Blog candy draw.

and finally here is my mother's day card from my 3 kids, made by Zoe (age 7and 7/8!!) and my gifts (-hands off Julie ! rofl !!!)

Hope you have a lovely day and I look forward to reading your comments,

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Mothers day cards

Morning all,
I have scheduled this post to come up at 9am so hopefully it will be morning when you read this !! (fingers crossed )

O.K. so lots of piccies today. They are of 3 cards I have made for mothers day (yet not for my mum or mil yet #eeek#)
I have used my new favourite set "A Rose is a Rose" again, told you I had lots of ideas for it !! All stamped with the help of the invaluable Stamp-a-mi-jig.

Now I know these are all pretty similar But the first one is for my Nan from my Mum, I did a special "Julie" bow on this one (hope it's O.K. Julie!) Rose stamped in Summer sun and then over stamped with Regal rose, leaves in old olive. Paper is B.G., Scallop oval at the bottom is in Cameo Coral (don't have Regal Rose card stock as of yet but I think it works O.K. ? !)

This take is with Sweet Always papers on the card base and for the bottom layer of the oval, Choc chip card stock and Pretty in pink textured card stock both punched with scalloped edge punch, Rose stamped in Regal Rose and Rose Red. Choc chip grosgrain ribbon, Sentiment is from the very useful Occasional Greetings set. All SU! and available to buy through me !!

Last Layout you may recognise from a couple of weeks ago on the Mojo Monday Blog. Well I made a card with this L/O and it worked so well I decided to use it again !!. Paper this time is SU! Choc Chip DP, ribbon from stash .

Final Photo is of the inside of one, but they were all pretty much the same, just slightly different colours, background to the rose image in the corner is a scalloped circle punched out and then cut to about 1/2 way in to make a 'flower'. Sentiment is from the Loads of love set.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave,

Lots more to show you this week as have a couple of commissions which I finished just now/last night :)

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

1st Workshop attempt

Afternoon all,

Sorry today's post is a bit late but as it is Zack's day off from pre-school I decided to take him into town for a play at a place called Jungle Jim's, It is a massive ball pit/soft play area. He had a fantastic time and is thoroughly exhausted now !! and I got to read most of a newspaper too which really is a rare occurrence these days !!!

Anyway onto the card and Bookmark which we made at my practice workshop, which I coerced my girlfriends into coming to, on Saturday !!
Although they did all say that they had had a lovely time.
I kept it very simple as some are crafters but 2 were definitely not before they came... but may be tempted now ??!
For the card I used my lovely A Rose is a Rose set as the double stamping technique is v. impressive, yet surprisingly easy, especially with the handy Stamp-a-ma-jig and some more bookmarks the same as last week. Some of the girls used Creamy caramel card stock and did beer jugs instead of cocktails (from the cheers to you set ) to make bookmarks for the men in their lives.
Rubbish but I forgot to take pictures when they were all here, note for next time- leave camera somewhere you can see it to remind you to take a photo !!
All SU! goodies were used and are available to buy through lil' ole me !! and I can ship to anywhere in the country !!
E-mail is in side bar if you want to contact me with any questions or to arrange a party (although that may have to live somewhere close for that , lol).
Thanks for looking,
hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Corner bookmark challenge

Hi all,
Well I've been trying to squeeze this challenge in all week set by 3D challenge blog and boy am I glad I did !! It was so easy and fun to do and now all my kids want one too, may whip them up in a mo ! I can see a lot of these being made in the not too distant future !

The blue one is for a friend and it matches his card, which I will post tomorrow, and the pink one I will give to my mum or sister-not sure yet...

The blue one uses SU! Not quite navy card stock randomly stamped with versmark ink with my fave set "Loads of Love" . I then stamped it with staz on onto white card and cut out, I paper pieced the truck with "Old olive" DP.

The pink one was made ising the "Cheers to you" set (Gasp! it's first use) and then I used my watercolour brush to colour the cocktail with the following SU! ink pads : Pumpkin pie, Pretty in pink, Old olive and Real red. Scalloped bottom done with SU! punch. Sweet Always Papers on triangle part.

All Stampin Up! products available through me , I can send to anywhere in the counry with no need for a party (unless you want one !) nor any minimum spend.
Thanks for looking, Happy Sunday to y'all !
Sarah-Jane xx
