Five Days of Stampin' Up! Note Cards; Day Two. Using Adventure Awaits.

Hello there,
Todays card is actually two cards. I used the white note cards again for todays designs and kept them nice and simple using the Adventure Awaits stamp set. We inked in Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush (both sadly retiring in a month and sold out :-( You could try the Subtles collection for similar, pretty colours though) stamping off onto our grid paper before stamping directly onto the notecard to give a paler image...
then we used the opposite coloured markers to draw simple lines around the edges using a ruler
I think these would be great to pop a note to someone who was going on holiday or is perhaps off on a mini adventure for a while, don't you think?
To see all the other note card designs please CLICK HERE - more posts will pop up as the days go on ;-) or click the "Five Days of Note Cards" label at the end of any of the posts
I hope you have enjoyed today's post and don't forget, if you want to have a go at making a box to store your note cards in then you can find a VIDEO HERE, just for you :-)

Adventure Bound with Adventure Awaits Stamps by Stampin' Up!

Hi there,
Today's card is a simple look that is given it's pop with heat embossing. You may have noticed that I am a big fan of heat embossing! I love that you can take a card from nice to wow in a flash, so to speak ;-)
I have used Adventure Bound paper stack and teamed it with Adventure Awaits stamps and if you order these together they are 15% cheaper too! Bonus! But please remember to use the bundle codes to get your discount.
For this card I heat embossed the image straight onto the paper using Versamark ink and slate powder. I then die cut it using the circles framelits and gave the image a basic grey border. Trim and layer up the rest of the paper sheet onto white and slate card and top with the image.
and a side view to finish today shows the embossing and dimension :-)
Well, that's all from me for today.
I'll be here to share Josh's birthday card with you tomorrow so please do pop back.
Thanks for looking today,

Using Stampin' Up's Adventure Awaits with Adventure Bound Paper for a CAS card

Hello,
Today's card is a quick and cute make made with the fab new photograph images DSP stack from the Spring/Summer catalogue called Adventure Bound. I teamed it with the Adventure Awaits stamp set and Bonus! they are 15% cheaper when purchased together too!
So this is the card I made...
I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and heat embossed using white powder then as I found it didn't "pop" enough for my liking I went over the sentiment with Crumb Cake ink and a sponge, wiping away the excess ink from the embossed image.
I added a knot of (retired) natural ribbon across the bottom but you could try Old Olive Two Tone Trim, Linen Thread, or even Natural Chevron Ribbon instead.
And a side view finishes today's card.
OK, That's from me for today.
I'm off to make a few more cards ;-)
Thanks for looking today
