Search for cardsandacuppa for more ideas!

Hello and welcome to my cardsandacuppa blog!
So, you may have noticed I'm not blogging on here so much lately? I did a post on my Instagram and Facebook recently explaining all but I wanted to hop over to here and share what's going with my lovely blog readers too :-)
I do love this blog and I am so very grateful for you taking the time reading the babble I write ;-)
But, I have found in recent weeks/months I am struggling to keep up with everything both at home and online so I made a decision to share more cards and quicker! That basically means I am sharing full cards on social media most days instead of (always) waiting 'till I get chance to blog them "properly".
I am still keeping this blog (and of course all the tutorials and creations on here) and have commited to at least one post fortnightly for my DT role at Inspire. Create Challenges.
I have to be honest and tell you I've found that I really do share more now!
So, having said all that I have made another decision today. I have decided I am going to start to do a weekly round up of what I have shared on social media, starting this Friday (tomorrow).
The post will be less chatty with fewer pictures and all the cards can be found on my Facebook and Instagram during the week before I post here. So to be in the know, first, please do check out my social media sites and follow me there. All links are at the end of this post or simply search "cardsandacuppa".
I am always grateful to my followers both here and on social media so I really do hope this change will be good for everybody? Thanks for following and for reading today's post.
So until Fridays round up,
Happy Stamping!

CAS Flowering Desert Notelet

Hello!
Todays make is a super simple notelet, perfect for sending a quick message and I just love creating these cacti! Infinite possibilities :-)
I used Garden Green for the cactus and Lovely Lipstick for the flowers.
The stamps have this natural looking shading to them so it's really easy to get this look just by inking the stamp.
I love how adding a simple heat embossed sentiment on black card makes this feel super on trend and modern.
And that's todays make! I hope you enjoyed it and I'll be back tomorrow with another, 'till then, happy stamping :-)

Winter Woods Emboss Resist Christmas Card

Hello :-)
I'm here today with a card that has been heat embossed  to the max! I think the Winter Woods bundle is the set I've used most this festive period - and please be prepared for quite a few more cards with this set coming soon ;-) - it's super versatile for both traditional colours and more modern cards and I can see me using it for mens cards throughout the year too.
But back to today's make. I went with a cool navy, white and silver colour combo for this card, let's see...
I started by stamping and heat embossing in white, two lots of the cluster of trees on white card. Then, using a sponge brayer (super fun and easy too!) I added the navy ink over the top. I then splattered the whole piece with white shimmer paint, (so happy that's back)
After brushing the edges directly with my Versamark ink pad and heat embossing in silver, to get this frosted window effect, I added some silver thread and a plain, uninked "Festive Farmhouse Elements" sentiment.
This card is so lovely in real life so I do hope some of that is captured in these pictures?
So, that's all from me for today, I'm hoping to have more cards photographed and to share with you very, very soon :-D
'Till then, Happy crafting!

So Santa with a Surfboard

Hello!
I'm back from our bi-annual trip to On Stage. This time we were in Birmingham and it was a great venue (imo) and as usual it was an awesome time! Lots of catching up with teammates and friends from all over the country (and world!), news about upcoming products, the new Spring/Summer catalogue, Sale-a-Bration (TIP: awesome goodies to watch out for this year ;-)), free stamps and stampin' up goodies and so much more! If you have ever even considered joining SU! then just getting to go to On Stage makes it worth it :-)
Anyway we are still on the Christmas catalogue right now but there is the "only while stocks last" warning been issued so if you have had your eye on something then please do get it asap.
I love this little Santa with a surfboard, which I coloured with my blends, from the So Santa stamp set - and I totally know who I'm sending it to, too...
I went with a vibrant Melon Mambo with Navy colour combo to layer this card. I would so love to be sat on a beach somewhere this Christmas, *sigh* ah well...
I know not a lot of people in the UK would perhaps think this is not a set for them because of this image but the others in the set include a chef Santa and Santa on a Scooter. I think they are adorable too, such cute little faces.
So how about using this image for a friend who is going on holiday this Christmas or someone who lives abroad maybe? Who would you send this card to?
Right, that's all from me for today, I hope you enjoyed today's card?
I'll be back tomorrow with another make, 'till then,
Happy Stampin'

Trick or Tweet! No Line Watercolouring Halloween Card.

Hello! Long time, no blog! :-(
I have so many cards to share with you at the moment but I'm currently working almost every night until 3am so I have been really struggling to get much of anything crafty done past the essentials (magazine commissions (which I can't share here yet ;-)) card classes, Halloween treats etc) however I did manage a bit of editing last night and so I have this cute card to share with you today!
I tried my hand at a bit of no line watercoluring and some masking too a few weeks back using the Trick Or Tweet stamp set and here is the result...
I started by stamping Scrappy Doo here (it looks just like him, right?) on shimmery white card with my Sahara Sand ink pad. Watercoloured with more ink pads and aqua painters then drying before covering him with some masking fluid to add in the background. I love how he turned out!
These little skulls and stars (/snowflakes, maybe?) in the background are from the hostess set Warm Hearted, which is packed with seasonal sentiments as well as cute little images like this!
I used Versamark to stamp these on a Rich Razzleberry card layer to create a subtle background.
I added in a few (retired) enamel shapes and a white embossed sentiment, all layered onto a black card base to finish.
OK, so I'm off to work this morning but I do hope to get another post done for you asap! Have a great, crafty weekend :-) and thanks so much for looking today, I miss sharing with you here!
