Pretty Packages all tied up with String ;-)

Hello!
Happy Christmas eve, eve, eve! How are all your preparations coming along? Well, I hope? We were going to go out and face the food shop today but as the weather outside is frightful {;-)} we have left it and are going to get some more decs up this afternoon instead! The festering music is a blaring here and getting us all in the spirit!
But first I have some pretty packaging to share with you. I'll have to save showing you what's inside until after the big day though I'm afraid!
I started with Chevron Tag-a-Bags, folded and tied up with Island Indigo Bakers twine...
(all links will be at the end of this post)
I stamped the Be Merry tag in Midnight Muse, die cut out with the Chalk Talk Framelits and inked around the edges using a sponge and some Smoky Slate ink
And I finished them all with a few punched shapes made with the Merry Minis punches and some Champagne Glimmer Paper
and finally a totally un-related to SU! note, I have even  managed to wrap all my table presents (instead of crackers) already :-)))))
*Jingle Bells seem to be the theme this year for me...
I'll pop a little picture on here of the finished table Christmas Day for you too if you like?
Right, more decorating needs to be done before work.
Thanks for visiting today, I know how busy everyone is right now and I'm very grateful that you are here!

3rd "Be Merry" Card with Warmth and Wonder by Stampin' Up!

Good afternoon!
After a very fun lunchtime celebrating my youngest's 9th birthday at Laser Tag I am back with you to share my last Christmas card (for a while) using the Be Merry tag stamp.
(To purchase any of the SU! goodies used on my blog please visit my STORE)
I got this lovely stamp last week and have had a blast playing with it!
This was the third card I made in just a couple of hours, don't you just love it when you get on a creative roll?? ;-)
So, I inked the Be Merry stamp with markers again and hand cut it out to include the borders, I also stamped the snowflake from the Warmth and Wonder Hostess only Stamp set with Gold ink. The trees on the card are also from this lovely set too :-)
  Message me for details on how you can get yours. {You could host a party, place a qualifying order in my SHOP or even join one of my NEW Stamp Clubs??}
Here I used another off cut of paper from my All Day Class which I decorated with another snowflake, punched and inked with gold around the edges..
**To see more with  this tag and other uses for the off cuts from the class click on the "Be Merry" label at the bottom of this post ;-)**
Top Tip:  The end of the paper strip was punched with the Postage Stamp punch to decorate
and a side view to finish which catches the sparkly sheen of the lovely Gold Ink :-)))
OK, I'm off for the night, actually and the weekend, for the first time in a few weeks so it's PJ time for me!
Back tomorrow with more cardy goodness :-)))
Thanks for stopping by today,

Be Merry Tag to use those scraps ;-)

Hello there,
I am here today with another card using the Be Merry stamp but this time I wanted to use up some of those off cuts you get with the Paper Stacks. They are perfectly sized to use on a card front with just a bit of
trimming but we ended up with a lot of little strips after our 21 cards at my all day class, ;-)

So, this is what I made with some of those bits...
I inked this tag heavily, in fact it was stamped onto white card but I'm not sure it shows after I got busy with my Crumb Cake ink and a sponge? I left the paper loop nice and loose,
please scroll down to see my top tips for making your loop...
Top Tip 1: This paper strip was already 1.5cm deep but around this size is fine, I trimmed it to approx 9cm long and added banner ends. Then ink well ;-)
then I simply added glue at the ends only after gently rounding the centre with my bone folder
Adhere to to the centre of the tag and add pearls to decorate :-)))
Top Tip 2: At the bottom of the tag is "To" and "From" but, like yesterday, I inked with markers to miss this section out. This leaves the bottom (and top centre where I just popped the loop) a bit bare so I wanted to add a second strip of matching paper,
As the die for the tag trims the edges off I hand cut out the tag but that meant the die was the perfect width to cut the paper, look!
Well, I hope you liked today's card and it's helped with a few ideas to use up some of those off cuts we all keep around?
Thanks as ever for stopping by today,

Be Merry with Washi Tape

Hello there,
I'm up really early this morning to take Josh to the ferry and then Zack has to be at school at the crack of dawn for his school trip so I'm, taking the chance to blog as the house is really quiet now! ;-)
I am going back to Christmas this morning with a quick card I made using the new Be Merry Christmas tag which is one of the special stamps released in this Christmas Singles Flyer. I loved them all (but limited myself to just a couple!) and made this first card with the tag and plenty of  the yummy Season Of Style Washi Tape.
So, this stamp is designed to fit in the Chalk Talk tag but I decided to use it on a card front (or 3!) so I inked it with my markers to miss out the "To" and "From" bits and hand cut it out to get this look...
 And make this card :-)))
I added Washi Tape across the empty sections where the To and From would be at the bottom and also where the cut out sections of the tag would be,
Really quick to make this as Washi tears so no fiddly cutting, just peel and stick!
OK, I hope oyu liked today's card? and I'll be back tomorrow with another card using this Be Merry tag :-)
Thanks for looking today,
